Embarrassed to say that my first ever trip to I-square was today - better (very) late than never! I made a pit stop for lunch and had some spare time to explore the Imaginarium. WOW. What an incredible space for the entire Irondequoit community and families. With clean, renewable energy at the forefront of this entire buildings core, it is hard not to jump on board and get excited about the kind of model this could be for future, similar concepts! I opted for a chicken caesar wrap from the pasta station in their food court. I also ordered a coffee (they brew finger lakes onsite) and it was the perfect midday pick me up. The space is all about community and I even took a moment to go hop on one of the energy powered bikes upstairs! There is an instagram-worthy indoor herb garden that the chef uses to cook, and a VR area in the Imaginarium. I hope to check out the conference rooms and rooftop on my next visit, and can't wait to try more of the spaces offerings! read more

I originally came because they had charging and stayed to eat at the food court. It would be reasonable to charger for the chargers. Instead they removed all the charging stations. So now i lost my reason to drive a little further for food. read more

Boy Scout troops 154 and 220 are doing their annual Xmas tree sale. Located at ISquare in Irondequoit on cooper rd. Check them out and support their good cause. Trees start at 55.00 up to 6 foot anything over 6 feet goes up to 65.00. Now thru mid December before Christmas. Great selection to choose from. Scouts will help you load tree in your car. read more

A great venue for food and ice cream. American or Chinese food are delicious choices for lunch and dinner. The ice cream stand has everything you could want for a treat. Weekends and weeknights during warmer weather there are bands, car meets and other events for free. Its been a great addition to the Irondequoit town center right next door to the Great, Great House Of Guitars ! read more

This place is super nifty! Definitely recommend! I had heard it was like a food court, so my brain thinks of like a mall food court but this is so much nicer! You can sit up on the roof top and they have a bar and sometimes live music up there. Really chill and surprisingly large space to hang out. There's also tables outside and inside on the ground floor. On the ground floor there's a coffee shop, ice cream, chinese and a grill w/sandwiches/burgers/chicken fingers etc. Decent variety to keep everyone happy. This is bookmarked for me as a top place to meet with with a friend or coworker, super cool spot! read more

Beer n donut tasting nuff said! What a great event, there were 5 preselected donuts and a plethora of beer options to decide which you liked best. Seating was family style so your family all of a sudden got bigger. Good fun was had, good beer selection and unique donut selection. read more

This is actually a review of the Spin Room at the Imaginarium at I Square. I signed up for a 3 class intro membership. My good friend Susanne was teaching the class so I knew the music and motivation would be there! The bikes are mint- they have the pedals that us spinners like to see- cages on the one side for sneakers and SPD clips on the other for us bike shoe wearers. The cool thing is that the bikes produce energy for the building! The room is set up well- they have 2 big screens that show the amount of energy you are producing on your bike- very motivating! As the the Imaginarium is a Net Zero building- they strive to produce all the energy they consume- I feel that we did our small part to add to the kWh the building needs. I'll be back! read more

The Asian food is amazing. You have to try the garlic vegetable dish. Many succulent flavors some without the heat.

Came in for lunch today with mom, this was our second time in. We went with the Market Grill, she got the cheeseburger and I got the veggie wrap. We both really enjoyed what we ordered. The pickles and chips were delicious as well! This is a great thing that they did with the space in Irondequoit. I wish they offered more vegan/vegetarian options. I saw the Market had a new black bean burger, so I'm hoping to see more! My mom stopped at the coffee place and the lady working was helpful helping her pick out coffee to bring home! We are excited to come back and try the wine reserve upstairs, it's a (seasonal restaurant). They have a great selection of food from ice cream to burgers to pasta so there's a little of something hint for everyone. It's a little pricy in my opinion for some items, but the food was delicious. The Chinese place had the best prices $7.95 for lunch and the portions were huge, definitely will be back for that. We came for dinner with our kids and were very disappointed with our meals. I ordered the arugula salad and was very surprised that my dressing, which came on the side, was the consistency of hair gel-it was supposed to be a vinegarette! It was really off-putting and I couldn't eat it because it was so greasy. We also ordered the Mac and cheese, which didn't taste like cheese at all. It was bad. The French fries were good and the burgers were fine, but for two burgers, fries, and drinks, the total was $28 which seemed high. We won't be back. I was bummed! read more

Overall, I-Square is a good idea. There are several counter-service places on the first floor, and The Electric Grill (also counter-service) is on the roof. Personally, I would recommend ordering from one of the places on the first floor, and bringing the food up to the roof. My three-star review is mostly for The Electric Grill. The prices were fairly decent, but the food was extremely slow to come out, my salad was missing the chicken so I had to wait longer for a side order, and the burger and wrap were just "okay." The drinks were mostly a joke. I would order beer there again, but not the wine or a margarita. The margarita came right out of a single-sized pre-mixed bottle. The wine was in a very tiny glass, measuring less than a normal-sized glass. Definitely not worth the prices. I asked for a cup of water and was handed a paper cup filled with lukewarm water and no ice...definitely not a refreshing glass of water. My dad ordered the nachos because they looked good on others' orders as we stood in line to order, and they came out on a full pizza pan. When he got his nachos, the portion was about half the size as we had previously seen, and came out on a much smaller pan. It was as though they started running out at 7pm on a Friday evening, so they just started downsizing the meal portions without the downsize in price. Overall, I would come again, but I might only come for a drink (which I would get downstairs) or ice cream. read more

I don't give out 5 stars that often but this is well deserved. I recently became aware of the pairing events here at I-Square and have thought a couple times about attending but alas, caveman bf isn't really a pairings kind of guy.. enter my friend Marti: she set us up for the Grateful food, wine/beer/cider pairing event and I'm so glad she did!! We were greeted with a choice of a Beaujolais or a cider as we arrived... I've never tried a Beaujolais so I was glad to try it and actually, also the cider. We were seated at a fall themed, gorgeously set, table with a pot of wild turkey- spiked warm mulled cider surrounded by glasses containing a cinnamon stick. I've never been to an event like this nor am I a wine or fine food expert so perhaps my reaction is based on my new experience, but I absolutely loved the opportunity to try all the wines (and the beer or cider... no problem if I'd like to try both offerings with each course ) paired with each course.. it proved to be quite a learning experience for me. For instance, I never knew there were DRY rose's! I loved it! I also found out about that Beaujolais and that it's a new fav! The food... oh the food. Absolutely fantastic. I don't normally like fruit in a salad but I learned that if Chef John creates it I just may love it! The rest... well, look at the pics and know that we basically rolled out of there so amazingly full and happy that I haven't stopped talking about it since. Add in the Nolan fam (the brilliant fam behind the I-square concept) being fully involved with the entire evening...(Mr & Mrs. And daughter) introducing the beverage choices at each course, checking on everyone.. even sitting down with us to get our thoughts on the event.. along with the hospitality, class and comfort they offered and I am absolutely hooked. Chef John ( I got his name but can't for the life of me remember what it is) came out and we gleefully applauded his amazing dinner! Really, for $45, this was a well spent evening and I highly recommend checking the events out. I understand that they usually do these pairings every 3rd Thursday (excluding December as so many other great events are taking place) and I'm on board for what's coming!! The Market at I-Square is a family-friendly food court with several reasonable food options, a coffee shop, ice cream shop, and a nice wine bar that also has a good beer bottle selection. In the food court area there are many tables available and your dining party orders at the various food counters for counter-service. I-Square is a convenient solution for families with kids who may find it difficult to eat at restaurants with longer wait times, or quieter atmospheres. Here is a hot tip: since it's all one private building, you can bring drinks from the Reserve into the food court area. I saw another parent doing this during my last visit and thought it was genius! In the warmer months there is a rooftop terrace available which I have yet to personally try, but am looking forward to. During busier times, It can get crowded in the market, but it still offers a cozy atmosphere with solid food and drink choices. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to enjoy a quick dinner to satisfy varying tastes from your dining party, for a quick coffee, ice cream outing, or drinks with friends and family. Also, the local business owners seem to really care about the community, as demonstrated during the great windstorm of 2017 which left many residents without power for days. I-Square offered free warm drinks and stayed open for extended hours to support households who lost power during this time. Bland and inoffensive food. Went an hour before close and they were already packing up. Tried to get ice cream and they were out of bananas and sprinkles. Went for coffee. Brownie was boring and the coffee was terrible and stale. For $3.25 make it fresh. All the main dinner choices are safe boring stuff. This is a place you would go if you were worried about taking someone out and they are picky eaters. It's edible but why am I making a special trip for this place when there are so many great restaurants doing interesting things nearby. Life's to short to eat boring food. read more

I-square is my go to place for coffee or a cocktail. The bar has a huge list of beers to choose from. I've never gotten any food there but hear good things. The best part is the ability to take your drink to the rooftop. Great spot to visit with friends. read more
