Colt did the installation and he was excellent. He showed up on time, worked hard the entire time he was here and cleaned up after himself perfectly. I would recommend anyone shopping for carpet installation to use Pannell Floors. One thing I learned about installation of carpet is that it significantly improves the ability of the installer to stretch the carpet if it sits in your house overnight to acclimate to the temperature and humidity of your home. Not only does this improve the installation, it extends the warranty. You pay extra for this service as it takes his guys two visits to install the carpet vs just showing up and doing it. Colt removed and disposed of the old carpet and padding, then cut the new rubber padding to size, ran a double tack strip so I could run my surround speaker wires under the carpet then cut the carpet to rough size. We then cranked up the heat to around 74 degrees for the night to warm up the carpet so it can stretch better. It looks and feels outstanding. I'll use Dave and Colt when we need the rest of the house done. They are responsive, professional and price competitively. There was very little waste or leftover (which we regret), but it's a testament to how accurate Dave orders to minimize cost of material. I would recommend this rubber padding under any rug or runner vs. what is available to purchase online or through Amazon...even the expensive 1/2" rug pads. The rebound is so much better and easier on your feet, it feels luxurious!

I was greatly disappointed in the estimate I received from the sales agent for laminate wood…read moreflooring. The sales agent arrived on time with a few samples. They measured the area, presented 3 estimates that seemed very high. Upon questioning for more specific cost breakdown was told that Empire gives a all inclusive rate, never breaks down by sq. ft. or what part is labor, etc. Upon inspection of the estimate it was 200 sq. ft more than the actual measurement of area to be placed. 805 sq. ft. is a far cry from the 605 (before upcharge for waste footage) which makes a substantial difference on what they want to charge you for. I believe the sales agent may have felt that dealing with a woman who may not know much about measuring, what sq. footage they actually need the flooring done on and more detail to the estimate wasn't something they should know or be interested in. I saw many tv ads stating specials about great discounts, free or low cost installations, etc. but their estimate was a very far cry from their advertising. In addition, the estimate had automatically factored in another $800 plus for their "warranty" that was never mentioned until I looked closely at the estimate. I was also disappointed that the estimate was not transparent.

The ADU floor was so uneven, he had to pour special cement to make it level, and then work around old brick and various pillars and 4 doorways. Not so easy. Brennen made it look great! And he was a joy to work with. I could not be happier and I recommend Brennen as the "A" team installer.

My kitty condo was in tatters. Cats gonna cat. And they are good kitties using their kitty condo…read moreas prescribed. I found a guy way out in Camas, WA about 15 years ago that I met at a cat show. Hew was selling really fancy cat furniture but for only $60 he custom made a 35 inch high piece for me with two levels and two hidey holes. Now that kitty condo is destroyed by my cats as intended, it's time for a new one. My builder took the old one and I went in search of blue shag carpet. The first two warehouses I called told me I was crazy to be looking for blue shag carpet. First, they told me, shag went out 30 years ago. And second, nobody is buying blue. I'm thinking to myself, that's the problem with décor these days. Everything is boring, fucking beige or grey. I called Marion's and spoke with a great guy named Jeremy. I told him what I was after and he told me he was sorry but they didn't have anything. No sooner after I hung up with him I had a missed call and a voicemail. I called him right back. Jeremy told me he found a roll of plush, blueberry blue so I took a Lyft over to look at it and loved it. It was 80% off and I bought 12x18 square feet. My builder went to pick it up today. He found scap for $20 and got me $50 refund for even better carpet. I feel really lucky that Jeremy was looking out for me and also that my builder Byron Horner was looking out for me. Finished product arrives Wednesday. 2025 - Review # 11
