Despite booking jobs almost a week out, they also found a way to work my repair in at lunch/between jobs the very next day! Ezequiel utilized state of the art technology to locate the valve and took the greatest care when digging for the equipment (with his brother, Rodolpho), shutting off and restarting to test the repair! Public Review - M&R Irrigation (My Experience)…read more About 1.5 years ago, I hired M&R Irrigation to install a simple irrigation line in my backyard and I was charged $4,500. Unfortunately, one line burst last winter, which I believe happened due to poor workmanship. This year, when more lines broke, I called again. He came after 3 days, fixed some heads, and then charged me $385. I don't mind paying $385 if it was clearly quoted before the work, but he told me the amount after finishing and even blamed me for not negotiating beforehand. He also said 5 years warranty, but later did not honor it. My suggestion for future clients: Always get written quotation, written warranty, and receipt copy before and after the job. Otherwise, once work starts, extra charges can be added and it becomes difficult to argue. I had a very bad experience. Maybe others had good service, but I am sharing this to alert everyone.

Posting a PROJECT on YELP is a great feature. For those unfamiliar with the process - the YELPer…read morepicks the appropriate category, submits a question (and more than one), the SEARCH populates a list of service providers in the area that match the categories criteria and allows the same question (s) to be submitted to all other like businesses in the surrounding area. A photo of the problem was posted with information detailing the problems. Four were sent - one no reply - one stated to "follow up with them" (follow up on my original question?, that's for them to do, not me). One expressed some fleeting interest - one stepped up like a professional business. I don't know why the other three were so disinterested - I can't say why - but it was unfortunate in the waiting days moments - this problem needed a solution. Brandon from Buckholtz and I were back and forth via YELP Projects drilling into the details, I didn't have to wait, there was no delays in responding on his part. A landscape company cracked the PVC pipe and tubing within the six zone system and the valves also were not functioning properly due to the heavy pounding, digging and cutting in an attempt to install root barriers. In addition there were sprinkler heads that were encumbered with tree roots & therefore just weren't in great functional condition and in Florida, lawn maintenance & curbside appeal matter. Brandon resolved all of the sprinklers issues (and there were more than a few) he rebuilt portions of the sprinkler system so the system would no longer be an issue in the future Sensitive to the severity of the situation - under the oppressively hot sun Brandon resolved every and all of what's been plaguing the property for months and is returning to do a walk thru and to perform additional system tweaks if necessary.

At 3:15 I called to check if he was still coming and got voice mail. He arrived at 3:26. He proceeded to tell me he tells everyone he might be 30 minutes early or 30 minutes late. I guess that's why he told me it was 3:26. I said I didn't hear you say that but still it was no big deal until he snapped at me "I tell everyone". He was so rude I said well, do you even want to do our job and he said no and left. I put this information on Nextdoor.com to try to warn others and that started his retaliation. He went on about me being upset because he was late but I was upset for being so rude to me and unprofessional by walking off our job. At that point people started sending me their thanks and telling of their personal experiences with David Payne through private messaging because they were afraid of his verbal retaliation. I hope this helps someone else. From all the private messaging i have received on him it seems he runs hot and cold. On a good day you might get a professional and one of his bad days you will get a major jerk.
