My 85+ year old mom was having problems with her sprinklers so I did a search online and found SOS Irrigation. SOS came out and was able to figure out the problem and replace a couple of solenoids. Steve set her sprinkler timer to the required day/time per the water restrictions. Her sprinklers went on the correct day/time but they did not stop. They kept running until she unplugged it. She called Steve, left a message explaining how the system would not turn off and if he can come back out or call her back and tell her what to do. No response from Steve. She called a week later, left a message. No response from Steve. Her new watering time is now midnight to 5am. She will have to stay up till midnight to plug in her sprinkler system and set her alarm to get up at 5am to unplug it. I am very disappointed in this company. Taking advantage of my mom. She paid over $600 and I asked her if Steve gave her an invoice or receipt for the work done and she said he didn't give her anything. When i see 5 star reviews for a business, i either trust it or i say no way.. I took the chance b/c SOS was the only one to respond to my yelp texts. We were able to get SOS out to our house on New Years day. Wow. We had a broken sprinkler head that broke at the base.. SOS came out and fixed it by suggesting removing the whole pipe b/c that area there was really no vegetation. I took them on that offer and it looks way better. Steven, without me asking, walked around the house, testing all the sprinkler heads and making sure they all were working in fine order. I was impressed with the full service. My system, which is actually an older system under a new system stopped working. It stuck turned on and would not advance through the zones. I had to turn the water valve off to stop the flow. I used SOS a year ago and they did a great job. I reached out on the first of May and received one email asking for my schedule. Since then I've gotten no responses. I submit a request for service through Yelp and SOS was one of the vendors they submitted to. I just received a message through Yelp that SOS is no longer taking residential clients and that they are turning off their messaging. I wouldn't advise reaching out to them. read more
