I have been going to Dr. Lichy for many years. I followed him from his previous office on East 87th Street to his present office at 222 East 68th Street. He is a superstar. I had back problems and a neurosurgeon told me that I must have back surgery because I tried everything else. I said to the neurosurgeon - "What if I tried Spinal Decompression". He said "That might work". Dr. Lichy is one of the few chiropractors that has the Spinal Decompression table. It's sort of like traction where you lay on a table and the machine stretches the spine to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and nerves. It is often used to treat chronic back or neck pain. It reduces the pain associated with conditions like herniated or bulging discs which I had. Needless to say, between the spinal decompression and the amazing adjustments of Dr. Lichy, back surgery wasn't necessary! I feel so much better. He always takes the time to answer any questions that I have in a way that's easy to understand. He runs a very professional and well-organized practice. Dr. Lichy has been absolutely integral in my healing journey. I came less than a year ago while pregnant to get my back realigned and all that. This office didn't take my insurance but they worked out something that I wouldn't have to pay the full out of pocket cost. Lichy was great! He was knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing, and I felt fantastic after. Here's why I refuse to give him a 5. As I mentioned, they do not take my insurance. I made an appointment last week for both my husband and I (we have the same insurance type). The receptionist said "ok great we'll see you next week". I called yesterday to cancel my husbands appointment, she asked if I was still coming, I replied yes. Today I am running late, so I call and ask if it's ok that I'm 15 min late to which she replied no problem see you soon. When I walk in and tell her my name, she goes "oh sorry Vanessa but we don't take your insurance". I explain to her what they did last time. "Oh yea we can't do that again". She admitted that she checked 10 min beforehand. I spoke to her so many times. It's ridiculous that I wasn't informed of the change they made prior to my visit. I spoke to her SOOOOO many times before showing up. Then Lichy says "it's the patient's responsibility" which then I completely lost it. They should've told me and had PLENTY of opportunities to tell me instead of waiting until not even the day but the moment i checked in. I started going to Dr. Lichy for help with my back and neck pain during the pandemic, and he has become an essential part of my pain management. I find when I don't make it to the office for a few weeks, I truly feel the difference, pain-wise. I also appreciate how he shows you the difference he's made (for example, taking a picture of my legs/feet before and after the adjustment to show how crooked everything was). Not only is he an excellent chiropractor, Dr. Lichy is also a great guy. He's super easy going and makes you feel comfortable immediately. He and his awesome receptionist, Maria, make me feel so welcome in the office and like I'm there for a fun visit vs just a patient. This was my first time going to Dr. Lichy. I have a history of lower back pain and I found myself in need of help. When I go from sitting to standing or getting up from laying down, the pain has been unbearable. He first used an electrical stimuli type thingee that targeted the area and I even got a chance to try the T Zone Vibration machine too. Then we did the adjustment. Perfect! I feel much much better and this was just a start. I found Dr. Lichy to be very patient, kind, professional, courteous. He was very busy but I was definitely not rushed. Okay, Where do I begin. First off I must say it's very clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The receptionist automatically greets you when you enter regardless if attending a client. I didn't know what to expect my first time there, but it was amazing. I even brought some carbon fiber insoles afterwards because I felt great. I watched a few videos on YouTube so I could know what to expect but when I got there it was better than the videos. Dr.Isaac took care of me and I didn't feel like he was just trying to take my money. If I have a problem keeping an appointment they're more than happy to accommodate me without having an attitude because I couldn't keep it. Dr. Isaac talk to you and engages with you. I like that a lot because I hate feeling uncomfortable whenever I'm at the doctors office. I just went to dr isaac lichy for the first time after two years of back pain. i work on my feet all day and my back always hurts. Amazing! I saw Dr. Lichy for my first chiropractic visit and I have been a die-hard fan ever since. From the very beginning, Dr. Lichy explained every aspect of the adjustment so that I would understand the process; afterward he gave me advice about my posture, my sleep positions and offered suggestions for pillows based on my complaints. Truthfully, I have been to other chiropractors in a pinch because Dr. Lichy's office is closed on weekends and not one other chiropractor has been as good, caring or as passionate about his work as Dr. Lichy. I do not go for adjustments as often as I should, but every single time I visit him I kick myself for waiting so long and suffering in pain for no reason when he will instantly ease that pain. Honestly, you feel like a whole new, pain-free person as soon as Dr. Lichy is finished adjusting you. I do not understand the two bad reviews posted here, (he didn't offer his hand to help me off the table? Really?? What sales pitch? It seems that he is bouncing all over the place---upstairs, downstairs, answering the door, phones, doing insurance, paperwork, etc. He didn't give me a good idea of a plan for what I should be doing to improve or how often to come. His office takes my insurance, a big plus, and is very convenient to the 4/5/6. Based on all the positive reviews I went to Dr. Lichy to see if he could help with some lower back pain I was experiencing. My first visit was fairly positive and he help alleviate some of the pain. However, at the end of the visit he started talking about how insurance would process my payment. I asked him if there was a co-pay and he said he wasn't sure of the amount but would file the claim and then I would give him the reimbursement from the insurance company. This seemed quite unusual as my previous chiropractor only charged a $40 co-pay and processed the rest through my insurance. However, I trusted Dr.lichy to do what was best for me financially... my mistake. Two weeks later my back pain returned so I scheduled a return visit. The visit I got very minimal attention as he was on a call the whole time as he does not have an admin. I got a quick correction to my neck and no relief for the back pain. At the end of the visit he proceeded to tell me he didn't take my insurance and gave me a bill for $250!!! I was completely livid that he waited two visits to tell me this even though I gave him my insurance before my first visit. Completely unprofessional as every doctor I go to tells me if they take my insurance and the co-pay prior to a visit. My mistake for not checking myself. I also ended up having to get my back corrected elsewhere because he didn't accurately identify my issue. I am shocked by all the good reviews as my experience was far from such. read more

Dr. Lichy has a great pair of hands. It has been around 6-7 sessions till now with him over 3 weeks and I have a lot of relief from my neck and back pain.
