Last time the GPS sent me to the wrong end of Fox St; and kept rerouting me back to the same spot. Today the GPS did it's job. The front desk staff informed Dr. Blondin that I was here; and almost immediately I was ushered into an exam room. His assistant had me in two bibs to protect my clothes, asked if I wanted music, I thought I was on a cruise ship. Every knob, handle, wire, instrument in the room was covered with plastic. The Zeiss microscope was in its own sealed plastic bag. Dr. Blondin was in shortly. He explained what was going to happen today in his cheerful and reassuring voice. After a local analgesic; the work began. A dental dam was applied, then the drilling began. All the while the doctor was letting me know what was going on during the procedure. A few X-rays latter I was almost done. The X-rays showed the true picture of the bicuspid and the repair done. I'm way past the age of being in awe of anything. This endodontist office leaves me awestruck. Everyone does their job with precision and acumen. If you need a great endodontist - This is the place to go to first. What's that old saying? "you've seen the rest; now see the best". I'm paraphrasing.

I was referred to this office by my dentist for a root canal. I have dental insurance, but it turns out they do not accept any insurance. It is strictly out of pocket pay on way. I'll get back to this later , but I trust Dr. Viani's recommendation so we moved ahead with the consultation. First impression of the friendliness of the staff was good. Cara greeted me and signed me in. I completed the usual paperwork, which had a Services menu at the back. That should have been my first tip off. I just assumed because my dentist referred me that they accepted dental insurance would assist in completing the paperwork. The exam itself was very quick in that all they needed were x-rays Amanda was delightful. She provided me with assistance since I have been recuperating from a medical condition and have dizzy spells . Amanda insure that I was studying on my feet while getting into and out of the exam chair and back-and-forth to the digital 360 x-ray machine. Dr. Mia was very personable, seemed very efficient and knowledgeable. She explained the treatment that she felt I needed. I agree that I do need the treatment. So far we're looking at five stars for the office experience and the care I have been given during the consultation. Unfortunately, my experience suffered a bit when I went to check out. I knew I would be paying $200 for the consultation which didn't include the x-rays. What surprised me was the reluctance to provide me with paperwork with a diagnosis code that I could provide to my dental insurance for potential reimbursement. I don't think there are many people who are in a position where they can outlay thousands of dollars for treatment without the hope of some form of reimbursement by their insurance company. Kara was more accommodating in getting me a receipt and a treatment plan form which had the treatment codes on it. And they did generate a claim form for me. The other assistant whose name I am forgetting lacked a sense of humor and could've been more empathetic. (Perhaps she was having a bad day, as was I.) I should not have felt bad about asking for documentation. After all, we are talking about a couple of thousands of dollars for this treatment plus $200 for the consultation. Last time I looked, we do not live in a high-end neighborhood. I'm sure I'm not the first person who was hoping to get some type of reimbursement from my insurance plan. Anyway, I'm not going to let one person out of four dissuade me from pursuing the next phase and potentially treating through this I'll update you later once I have discussed the plan with my insurance company and followed back up with Blondin. Losing one and a half stars due to a lack of empathy on checkout, and the fact that don't accept insurance. I'm rounding up because the rest of my experience so far has been good.

They were friendly, informative, and HIGHLY EFFICIENT during my tooth extraction! As I was telling my adult daughter; the entire procedure from first rinse to me walking out the door was only about 20 minutes long. The Dr is so skilled at the Novocaine injections that I was amazed. If you can hold it together for about 2 minutes-you'll be fully numb in no time. The procedure itself consisted of one minute of toughing it out while he did the actual pulling. No pain, just pressure and conquering my fear. I can do just about anything for one or two minutes. The rest was downhill from there. Drove myself home with no issues-as I stayed awake for the procedure. Would definitely make a point of coming back to Dr Payami and his team if the need arises in the future.

Nothing was revealed ,A second opinion from this dentists colleague found nothing. Mind you this was close to $2000 worth of dental care. Had a retreat done in New Jersey by a specialist to the tune of about $1700. It was found that the tooth was cracked and needed to come out that was another $1700 now for the implant which was 2800$ for the stud and 2000$ for the tooth. All in all this came from a botched root canal that I had done in this office the money and pain that I have experienced will never be rectified. My advice go to a specialist if you're going to have any dental work done.....

Some of the lower reviews are about front of the office staff, which I vaguely recall being a bit gruff, 10+ years ago but everyone the past few years have been lovely. I have had two root canals (hey I'm 40 such is life) and one was done excellently by Dr. Chris during 2020 in COVID. He did a great job relieving the pain I had been in for a few months. I called 3-4 other recommendations and unfortunately, it seems many endodontists in Dutchess County don't take insurance. I have good dental insurance and Dr. Pai was recommended and on my insurance company's "in network" list so I made an appointment. I had nothing but a pleasant experience with the receptionist (Anne Marie) each time I spoke with her. I was originally given an appointment for a consultation a month away, but there was a cancellation and she was able to get me in sooner. She verified my insurance benefits and confirmed I had no copay for any of my visits. There were some long wait times unfortunately for some of my appointments (afternoon appointments). Dr. Brunetti-Pai opened up my root canal twice and cleaned it out, but unfortunately, the problem persisted. The appointments all went smoothly and I had no pain. She referred me to an oral surgeon, also luckily with good reviews and in network, who recommended an implant. If I ever need an endodontist, I would definitely return here, but fingers crossed I don't.
