When I arrived I double checked that it would be 99 and was told yes. I did the cleaning which was very half assed as she said i really needed a deep cleaning which costs more. I said i couldnt afford it. They hurried through and I paid the b99 and left. Then I got a bill in the mail for $336 more dollars, as if there wasn't a promotion. So i had to call in and complain and they had to call the poughkeepsie office and call me back. They ended up taking away the charge but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like a scam to try and get people to buy more dental exams and to charge them more than they were told. This should not have happened, and if it happened to me it could have happened to others who maybe ended up paying more than they should have.

Also while he was cleaning I almost choked on the amount of water that was being sprayed all in my mouth the lady with the hose that's meant to get the water out wasn't even doing her job. She was just standing there. I almost choked! I felt so rushed and so confused. It was not a good experience at all! You told me my insurance was going to cover the tooth that needed to be extracted without any issues. When I went for my first appointment, the receptionist, not my dentist, not a dental professional, told me what treatment I needed as if she could prescribe treatment, and I was refused a cleaning because I did not agree to extra services with an extra fee. My old dentist had sold me an insurance policy that promised two free cleanings in a year and the day I arrived at Nesheiwat Dental was to be the second cleaning. They also seemed to misrepresent my dental history when they were talking to me.

My wife and I found this new dentist office through our Insurance company and Google Reviews…read morebecause of our old dentist retiring and issues with the old dentist office procedures. For a first visit we noticed this dentist office was more technically advanced than our old dentist with more modern equipment. We are taking off a star because Dr. Kay doesn't deal with the business side of things which can be a good thing because then he can only worry about the best treatment for your teeth instead of being distracted by the business side of things. We found out from the office manager is is one of several locations owned by two dentist brothers. The one star down is because they do not have a sliding scale for low income people and charge New York City Prices in Dutchess county. The insurance companies are able to negotiate a discounted price but if you need major work and are on a limited income and have trouble covering the deductible they don't negotiate on a sliding scale do to your income but rather refer you to care credit so you'll probably be dead before you pay off your dental care. With the volume of patients running through this place they could have a little more compassion for lower income people or even donating some dental time back to the community. I'm not very happy with the business side of things but will update on future visits as the work I need will take time that my last dentist couldn't get to because he was to busy.

Last time the GPS sent me to the wrong end of Fox St; and kept rerouting me back to the same spot. Today the GPS did it's job. The front desk staff informed Dr. Blondin that I was here; and almost immediately I was ushered into an exam room. His assistant had me in two bibs to protect my clothes, asked if I wanted music, I thought I was on a cruise ship. Every knob, handle, wire, instrument in the room was covered with plastic. The Zeiss microscope was in its own sealed plastic bag. Dr. Blondin was in shortly. He explained what was going to happen today in his cheerful and reassuring voice. After a local analgesic; the work began. A dental dam was applied, then the drilling began. All the while the doctor was letting me know what was going on during the procedure. A few X-rays latter I was almost done. The X-rays showed the true picture of the bicuspid and the repair done. I'm way past the age of being in awe of anything. This endodontist office leaves me awestruck. Everyone does their job with precision and acumen. If you need a great endodontist - This is the place to go to first. What's that old saying? "you've seen the rest; now see the best". I'm paraphrasing.
