In 4th grade, there was this other student that had said multiple mean things to him and had made him cry. He was always the smart kid and had no problem with going to school. Because of this boy, he started to refuse to go to school in the end of the school year all the way through 5th and half of 6th grade but he eventually got put in homeschool. Remember, this was all because of one kid that did not know how to communicate with others and had no respect. I understand that it was a kid, but this doesn't mean he can be rude to others and have no effect on himself. He should know to be kind to others. Anyways, now lets talk about the other kids here, I believe there are 750 kids that attend this school currently and most of them are just kids that think they are older than everybody else and can do whatever they want to do. I absolutely hate that, what are these parents teaching these kids?? I would like to know because in 5th grade, somebody spilt yogurt on my son and it was on purpose. Did the staff do anything? NOT AT ALL. They did absolutely NOTHING. What is wrong with these people? The staff suck, the principals fine, the students have no respect whatsoever and that rude office lady just pisses me off! As a matter of fact.. how does she still work there? She is HORRIBLE! The teachers are better, though miss villunaeva is also HORRIBLE! She is so rude and I feel so bad for the people that have her as their teacher. Im not sure if she still works there but this school could definently be better.

Merryhill School - A Great Experience for the Little Ones…read more I've really enjoyed my experience with MerryHill School in the Elk Grove/Calvine area. I've had the opportunity to be introduced to multiple areas and locations, and from the locations I've personally seen and visited, I've been impressed with the care they provide for the children. One thing that stands out to me is how well-balanced the day seems to be. The kids are provided with good meals, plenty of activities, and opportunities that help support their growth and development. You can tell there is thought put into keeping them active, learning, and comfortable. The staff have also been a big positive for me. They are usually in great moods, welcoming, and seem genuinely happy to see the children. I haven't personally had a moment where I felt like the staff were being fake or facetious toward the kids. In my opinion, the interactions come across as sincere, which is something I really appreciate when it comes to a school caring for children. I also recently found out that MerryHill offers middle school, which I didn't realize before. If you're looking for a private preschool or elementary school, and potentially want to continue into middle school, I think MerryHill is definitely worth checking out. I can only speak from the locations I've personally experienced around the Sacramento area (and I know they have a Davis location as well), but based on what I've seen, this is a company I would definitely recommend looking into if you're searching for a school where the children are genuinely cared for.

From the very…read morefirst day, we could see how much the teachers and staff genuinely care about each child's growth.. not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. My child has thrived here. The progress we've seen is remarkable: confidence, curiosity, and a true love for learning have all blossomed. The teachers don't just "teach to the test"; they create an environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and celebrate their unique strengths. What makes Merryhill stand out is the balance they strike between structure and creativity. The curriculum is challenging yet engaging, and the small class sizes allow for personalized attention. We've also noticed how well-rounded the program is character development, leadership, and kindness are emphasized just as much as academics. They put a lot of work in to afterschool programs and making it fun for children as well. The growth my child has shown since starting at Merryhill has been beyond our expectations. We are so grateful for the supportive community here and truly believe this school is giving our child the best possible foundation for the future.
