Nice quiet hole in the wall place that services great seafood. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants something different

We went for mother's day celebration! There is street parking we didn't have a problem finding one. The service was fast and the server was excellent! I ordered a micheladas and camarones zarandeados. The food was very good and I defined loved the size portion and the rice. I would defined recommend and we will come back!

I stumbled on this place after planning a road trip adventure heading south of Milwaukee. Mexican, Latin American Seafood? Yum. First of all, the menu was entirely in Spanish. It was what the waitresses and patrons spoke, and it was on the TV. Secondly, while the place was unassuming, it was very clean and clearly run by a family. A grandmother was watching a toddler - mostly staying back in the kitchen, but once in a while walking the child in the restaurant. Now the food. Who has a 6-page menu of seafood where two pages are entirely shrimp entrees? Isla Del Mar. Wow. I chose shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. For $12.50 I got 8. Wow. The bacon was crispy, the shrimp tender and juicy. What a combo. It was accompanied by rice and salad to round out a generous plate. The real treat at this place, however, was the ceviche they brought out before my meal. It was so good! Very fresh tasting. Bits of whitefish and shrimp mixed with lime, peppers, cilantro and tomato. A bowl of salsa verde and fresh lime wedges with crisp fried corn tortillas.

Best ceviche in Kenosha/Racine and you get a bit for free with your salsa and tostadas. My husband had the carne asada and said it was addictive. It came with large sides of rice, beans and salad. I had the medium cocktail de cameron (shrimp) and it was huge. Service was great - ask the waitress for recommendations - she won't steer you wrong. Extensive menu - if you like seafood, this is THE place!

Authentic Mexican restaurant, looked interesting so I gave it a try. Windows were all boarded up because, well, it's Kenosha. The interior decor was reminiscent of a hole in the wall. It was seat yourself so I found an open table and the waitress quickly came over and greeted me. I was in a hurry and just wanted a quick bite. The young waitress was super friendly and I ordered a chicken quesadilla. Instead of chips and salsa they served tostadas and a fish dip and some green sauce. The fish dip wasn't too bad but it was somewhat odd. The green dip was not my cup of tea. In 8 minutes or so the quesadilla came out. It was served with rice and beans. I asked for a side of Sour Cream that she gave me free of charge which was nice. The quesadilla was fairly greasy which surprised me. The rice and beans were actually decent. Overall I would rate the entree a 2/5. It was only 7.99 though so not too pricey. I don't think I would ever go back myself.

Drinks are 20oz bottles or cans with typical selection with some LATAM favorites like Aloe, Jumex juice and Apple Soda Empanada was tasty. Filling was cold. We had the Carne Asada and Badeja Paisa. Both very tasty, Chicharrón was fatty but given the quality of what's available in this country I can't expect what I get in Bogotá. Was disappointed no Pantecones or Arepas kinda Colombian staples.

We struggled with the strong bleach smell trying to eat our meal. We also ran out of beverages, and we were 1 of 2 tables in there. The chips looked and tasted like they were out of a bag, which is disappointing because it's not hard to make fresh chips. They had 4 different salsas which were tasty which was good because their food had little flavor. The rice and beans didn't even have any seasoning on them. The steak tacos didn't have much flavor either, so it was good that we had our choice of the salsas to use. The steak was without fat or gristle so that was a plus. My husband ordered a burrito that he said was bland and dry. It was good that they had to salsas but the food lacked seasoning or the flavor I expected from a restaurant with flavor in the name. I am willing to give them another try and order something different, but my husband isn't so willing.

We came to Longitud315 on a Wednesday evening before catching the Metra down to Ravinia. We were the apparently the first customers of the day. The lone server, who was also doubling as bartender, said we could sit anywhere we wanted. We ordered several small plates plus dessert. Their chimichurri is some of the best I've ever tasted--great for dipping plantain chips as well as empanadas. Arepas, drunken mushrooms, and Chupil de Camerones were all excellent. The only slight disappointment was the empanadas. We tried all 4 they were offering that night. Some were good but a couple tasted like they had been reheated. A couple cocktails rounded out our meal, no complaints there. Service was excellent. It was starting to get busy when we left but the lone server never missed a beat. Prices were reasonable in our opinion. We left full and happy and are already planning a return visit.

For starters, it took about 20 minutes for us to get seated while other customers with smaller parties were getting seated right away. Second, in addition to the brunch menu being very limited, no server came by until about 30 minutes after being seated to take our order. They really push folks to do their breakfast buffet which makes sense, but that defeats the purpose of having a separate brunch menu with different items. The quality of the buffet food was very mediocre at best. I've had similar quality food served at 2-3 star hotels. Overall, unimpressed with my experience at Toro. Hopefully their lunch/dinner service and food are better.
