Late lunch here and we sat outside. Not much to say about the outside, their service was great and the waiter checked on us frequently We had great cocktails (smoked Rita- he made it less sweet - very good!!) and shared several appetizers. Beer isn't from tap unfortunately The food was very good - nice uncommon options ! Everything is a little in the price side. Lamb chops and plantain chips (with an outstanding salsa!) didn't make on on the photo Try the flan dessert !!

Churasco, grilled octopus. I think they should add a tad bit more rice. The protein to carb ratio is slightly off.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Rooftop is always a good spot, when it's nice out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is always consistent here. Doesn't really change much, which is a good thing. Service for the most part is attentive.

Amazing food and service! The lamb chops and bread pudding were to die for!!! Will absolutely return!

Enjoyed the octopus and empanada to start, as well as massive plates of meats and squash risotto. Tasty food, pricey.

The food here is just okay. I really just enjoyed the ambiance, though, and the service was friendly

I recently had dinner here with 12 people so obviously they added gratuity. And automatic 22% gratuity is a little bit hefty in my opinion now for the zinger, our dinner took one hour and 45 minutes to get and that includes my simple salad with two empanadas de apologized, and as a nice gesture, they gave us some free plantain chips, gee whiz! ordering at 7:15 and then waiting till 9 o'clock for your food and then paying 22% gratuity.. se i f ing kidding. this reminds me of my last visit with my wife in which I paid $30 for octopus and it was only one tentacle. Are you kidding me? then proceeded to ask for some complementary bread with my octopus, and they said no problem. The bill then arrives with a six dollar charge per breath. I now live within a mile of this restaurant. It will never go back there unless someone else is buying. I would give it zero stars if I could.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: cozy, inviting and cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: we came here on a Friday late afternoon and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was quick, helpful and checked on us a few times. Food: food was very yummy- very few vegetarian options but still glad they had them on the menu. They served plantain chips with green garlic sauce as complimentary and it was yummy. I had vegetarian arepas (mini size) and house salad for lunch and again it was again. Meat arepas and empanadas were good as per the family. Definite place to keep on our list.

Gaucho(?) Can't remember which steak dish

Went for a late lunch last Sunday. My friend thinks 3 pm is lunch time. I disagree. I was starving so we ordered way too much food. Lol. I haven't been to Longitud for a few years. Tried to order once during the shut down, but they stopped taking orders for the night. Started with a cocktail. We both ordered the eleganza. Since I'm not much of a drinker, we didn't opt for a pitcher. It's like a sangria. It was tasty and boozy. Since I'm a lightweight, I only drank 1/2 of mine. Ha. The house plantain chips were so good. Crispy and not greasy. The sauce/salsa was also sooo good. I would buy a gallon of that! We ordered one of each of the arepas and empanadas. The arepas are tiny. Was not expecting that. But were tasty. The empanadas were a mixed bag. I preferred the Brazilian and my friend preferred the Colombian. The others I would not order again. Since my friend was craving octopus, we had to get the pulpo. It was well seasoned and nicely charred, but I thought it was over-cooked. My friend found it fine. By the time our steak dish came around, we were stuffed, but plowed through. The steak was nicely cooked. My friend thought it was salty, but I thought it was seasoned the way South American's season their meat so it didn't bother me. If you eat it with the potato, it was just right. We sat outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day. I will say the ambiance was ruined by the loud music from the restaurant next door. Service was great! I find the prices a bit high for what you get. I feel that's consistent with most of the restaurants in Highwood.

This is my 2nd time visiting Longitud315. I'm still a fan. The first time was for the full dinner experience on the upstairs patio. This visit, my friend and I were seated in the front sidewalk patio area in the early afternoon. Expect the sun to be hitting you directly. It was a still a cool after noon in May so the sun was welcomed. We came here for a mojito ($17) each and appetizers. The mojito was made with lots of limes and fresh mint. It was well-balanced and extra refreshing. We ordered the empanadas assortment because we couldn't decide on which. They were all delicious. I honestly could not remember which empanada was which. They were all good though. They each had their own unique fillings with chicken or vegetable. Ok, I'd come back here for the fries alone. I am french fry eating machine. These were the perfect crunch texture. I would recommend their appetizers and sides as perfect snacks with cocktails.

He did find a table and during the course of our meal there were non-stop arrivals with a few heading straight to the small bar so I'm thinking perhaps it has a strong flow of regular customers. The service was efficient and the dining room has a cozy bistro feel to it. The menu is seasonal. Nothing was calling out to me so I went with the burger and fries. Both were good. We arrived very early at a random time, probably right after opening. Everyone was so nice and service was great. The table started with the cornbread, moist and warm. Not as sweet as I personally like (I can't help it I'm southern) but delicious nonetheless. The eggplant hummus wasn't that great to me, loved the bread it came with but I think I would prefer typical chickpea hummus instead. Brussels were so good, probably the favorite thing I tried. For my entree I had a kale salad with added salmon. I liked the crunch and the light vinaigrette. My husband had the seafood risotto which was slightly undercooked. All and all a positive experience and I'd definitely go back if I was in the area.

We ordered some drinks (no one got alcohol) and some appetizers. We got the Low Carb Yuka Fries and while that is not my bag, they were good. I was pleasantly surprised. We also had the roasted red pepper spread, which everyone enjoyed. Two of us ordered the Ultimate Steak Sandwich. I opted to removed the caramelized onions. The other person let them on. I also removed the garlic herb sauce but replaced it with a chimichurri sauce. That really kicked it up a notch and was good for dipping the fries in. They're fresh cut fries, so they were good on their own, but the chimichurri again kicked it up a notch. We also ordered the chicken bowl, the avocado salad, and the Greek style lamb chops. We all loved our food and were too full for dessert. It's a quaint little place, cozy for intimate conversation or a night out with family and friends. I think the night was made a little more fun when a couple came in and was seated at a counter height table and were making out all night. It was a lot and gratuitous. The table next to them were visibly uncomfortable and that made it all the more enjoyable to witness. Dinner and a show. Who knew?

He must have been on the phone with his dad or mom because he said he had a customer and ended with an "I love you". All good. But I stood there long enough to hear that all play out, waiting to order haha. Anyway the funnier thing was he said "I'll have it to you in under 20". Which I thought was a funny way to phrase when my food would be ready. Like this could be a comedy bit almost. Usually you try to instill confidence that food will be out right away, not establish an upper limit for the time frame haha. Whatever, it was a kid. Also it took 21 minutes (per my receipt time stamp vs watch) The serious part tho... food review. 1. Jibarito was 7/10. Decent flavor on the steak but lacked a bit more. I wont blame the sogginess on the restaurant, it was a long drive home. I put it in the air fryer later. 2. The rice was salty - and I usually like salty. Also more wet and compounded, while also being a little dry like it was from the bottom of the pot? It's hard to explain, but I didn't love it. I wish it had more peas and maybe some pork and less seasoning TBH. 3. Maduros was my side - it was good. 4. Beef pastelilos - 7/10. They were the puffy kind, but more hollow than I'd like - i.e. meat to air ratio. But they were overcooked. I could taste the burned-ness of the dough and it didn't sit well. 5. No tostones - they were out. but a funny story is about 5 mins into my waiting another worker came in, so I could hear them talking in the back. The prior kid said something to the effect of "oh we are out of tostones".. "but I can figure something out". Like it was possible to make... the tostones... which weren't available to me at the time of my ordering... I kind of had a "hell naw" moment, but decided to suppress it. Net net, I ate half my jibarito because it was big. I could not eat anymore rice because it was too salty. And I had one pastelilo because now I'm full. One suggestion - make some pique. I asked for some hot sauce as I received my order and all they could offer were generic packets of what is probably louisiana style hot sauce. I want that habanero pique!!! I think it'll help, at least cut through some of the salty TBH. Also work on the service and timing. 20 mins is too long for 1 jibarito and sides. Thanks!

The steak tacos didn't have much flavor either, so it was good that we had our choice of the salsas to use. The steak was without fat or gristle so that was a plus.
