The second time this happened, a year and many sits later, I had gotten the time wrong because it was changed, and when the family complained, the owner demanded I pay her the money I earned from the sit...Once I paid her, she and her husband ghosted me...They had hired me as an independent contractor, and therefore I was also ineligible for unemployment...And so I have been struggling to pay my rent since... I spent several years working for them and made them a lot of money, and at the end, I was just ghosted...And I am not the first nanny who has been hurt this way...I've also heard accounts from others, which is why I've decided to speak out against them...

Our kids learned to swim here and attended the camps during summer break. Although this is not the largest gym on Maui, it has spin classes, yoga, weights, racquetball courts, and a swimming pool. For families with young children, including babies and toddlers, you can pay a nominal fee for child watch while you workout. On some evenings they have child watch for couples that want to go out on a date. Swim classes are on Saturdays, but you can also do private lessons. This is good for younger children that are shy and need extra attention. They have camps during Spring, Winter, and Summer breaks. During summer, the cooking camp is especially popular and fills up the fastest. The swimming pool is heated and is a popular hangout, especially on weekends. The Y offers a lot of options. Although it gets crowded in the morning with seniors and teens in the late afternoon, it is less crowded and cleaner than the other gyms in town.

I handled the initial service request with Jennifer before handing her off to him. I was shocked at her condescending response to him, "You will have to get that from Aimee - I don't do receipts for nannies. Remember, I'm just the referral agency they are not my employees." Another email, "I apologize, not sure why I would have the receipt for her payment in cash?!" She appears to be very rude and demeaning and does little to mask her annoyances which is disheartening because I was informed her nannies were pleasant and well liked. Her behavior is totally opposite of the aloha spirit the islands are known for so if you're looking for a patronizing attitude, she's your gal.

This was the first time the two youngest had been watched by a baby sitter and not a family member. Tiffany came in like a boss, grabbed the 12 month old and instilled a tremendous amount of confidence that she could handle our little guy (as well as the others) who is not an easy baby by any measure. She texted us pictures throughout the evening and followed all of our requests exactly. She came prepared with games and crafts and glow sticks which were the biggest hit of the night. The kids were bragging about the wind chimes they made and talked to us about how much fun they had. Maybe the biggest compliment of all is that the kids were all asking where Tiffany was in the morning. We highly recommend Tiffany and hope to use her again in the future.
