If I was just giving feedback on the unit 401, I would have given it a much lower rating. We've stayed at this resort probably 8 times and this was by far the most disappointing unit. Very cheap with everything from leaky ice cube trays(no ice maker) poor quality bed, as cheap as you can go beach chairs, no umbrella, miniature coffee maker we didn't even attempt to use. This is not the typical unit for this resort from our experience. Pool area is great, easy beach access. The resort has a major restaurant attached that is always packed for good reason, excellent food and drink and right on the water. 5 star for the resort, 3 star for our unit 401 read more

If there were NO stars that's what I'd leave. This Is not a resort. The only amenity is the pool.The pull out couch is not anything close to a bed. When the pool was shut down for the better part of our vacstion, due to the old broken ladder, I was told that I should go someplace with a pool. Danielle is nasty & I told her so & she threatened to throw myself my husband & our son with autism out ( he can not use the beach so no pool is a major problem)! My family has been coming here for 30 years- thats loyalty huh? The only reason this place has any stars is because they give you a discount if you leave a 5 star review. We stayed here for our wedding weekend recently. We hired a planner that was referred to us through the banquet manger at the property. We were planning a small dinner for 10 after our wedding on the beach at sunset. The online booking for the room was convenient although any attempt to speak to a person via phone is almost impossible. You will be routed to a voicemail system and may get a call back. Upon arrival, we weren't impressed by the property. It looked in need of an update. Although we were impressed with the price of 2 nights which included tax: $438. A deposit was paid online of $90 with the rest due at the hotel upon check in. The check in process was quick and painless. The front desk lady apologized for my several attempts to get someone to call me back. The place is locked down like Fort Knox! A key is required to get through every entry point and entry as well as exit to the beach. The restaurant service was very professional and very friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced. They brought out our small wedding cake after our meal was over and went the extra mile to make sure it was presented beautifully. (Our cake was ordered elsewhere and merely stored at the restaurant until needed.) Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We reserved a one bedroom with 2 queen beds and a fold out sofa bed. There was a full kitchen which was great for storing food or microwaving snacks for the kids. We really liked the fact that you can view each room online prior to booking and chose the one you like best. They are all decorated differently with island or beach decor. I never noticed any smell in the hallways as another review stated. Our room was on the 1st floor near the pool which was annoying at times with the noise from people at the pool. We will definitely look into another floor upon returning. The ocean view was fantastic though with a gorgeous morning sunrise accented with palm trees lining the pool area. The beach is great and neatly maintained with an access gate to the property. It was not very busy at this time of year which was enjoyable for us. We have stayed at the island Beach resort twice. Comfortable rooms, nice views, good price. I'm giving them one star because they have now twice cancelled standing reservations with me. Each cancellation of our oceanfront unit was for the following year. The first time we made the reservation a year in advance, during our stay. Days after we left I received a call telling me our reservation was cancelled because the owner was planning to use the unit. I was then offered a "sunset view" (aka parking lot view) room which I declined. We stayed again in 2022 but were unable to get a reservation for 2023 as they were already fully booked. When we returned home I inquired about booking for 2024, nearly two years in advance. They accepted our reservation, took our deposit and sent us a confirmation. Yesterday they called wondering when we were arriving. I explained there must be a mistake as our written confirmation clearly stated the dates in 2024 that we had reserved. After some back and forth we have now been told there was a mistake and we were booked incorrectly for 2023 and we have no reservation in 2024. Additionally they are now fully booked for 2024 so no room for us, despite having a confirmation in hand and a deposit they've held for a year. And every other place in the area is also booked. If you go to the IBC be prepared to have your reservation cancelled with some lame excuse, leaving you high and dry. Clearly the folks running the reservations struggle with getting it right but only at your expense. Consider going elsewhere. read more

Absolutely stunning views from room #208! We stood here during the July 4th weekend, and assumed we would be fighting the crowds since the hotel shares parking with the restaurant downstairs. We were pleasantly surprised to see how this resort is managed so well, despite sharing the restaurant patronage. The guests were super respectful and the hotel staff was more than responsive!! This resort defines true tranquility and paradise from practically every angle, along with a beautiful beach. A bit of a tip: the beach has strong waves and no lifeguard so one shouldn't trust leaving the little ones alone for a second. But the real bonus here is that you can order lunch from Shuckers, the shared restaurant, eat at their beachside tables and return to the beach steps away or just watch the waves from the outdoor oceanside seating. We rented from one of the condo owners through VRBO. Mason & Michelle Arnao. They were wonderful and so was this 1 Bedroom Condo. It was so clean & updated nicely. It was decorated with beautiful beach decor. Had lots of little extras for us (beach towels, beach chairs, soap, toilet paper, shampoo & coffee). We flew in with just carry on's so we greatly appreciated these extras! Now for the best part, The ocean front location overlooking a beautiful pool and grounds! To die for!!! View of the Sunrise from the bed was amazing! The island is beautiful with lots of public beaches & riverfront access. Close to Jensen, Stuart & Ft. Pierce with lots of great restaurants, shopping , fishing, etc. great place to walk on the beach or the path along the road! There is a restaurant connected to this condo, Shuckers that is beachfront. Great food & live entertainment. The service was excellent. Everyone is so friendly! We also ate at some great restaurants in Stuart & Jensen. This will be our go to place when we are back in this area! Loved it!!! read more

Had our family stay at Island beach Resort for 7 days. They completely fell in Love all over again, this having been their second visit to the hotel. The ocean view is heaven along with fabulous sunrises R beautiful. The 4th floor condo was beautifully furnished, clean & completely stocked with everything they need. The weather turned out perfect for the entire week. They had choices of the pool & the beach which they took advantage of everyday. One thing island beach needs R more Barbecue grills only had 2 which were always being used! The staff pleasant & helpful. Also very convenient to having schuckers restaurant attached to the property. Not far to drive for grocery shopping, Surfside pizza & CVS down the road, all very convenient. Also the family enjoyed a visit to Oceanographic Florida Center which is about 2 miles from the hotel. Now they have lots of beautiful memories! read more

This resort have gift that has been built on place like that. Perfect beach on Hutchinson island Florida. But who ever own this place need spend some money and update this resort not only take big money. Rooms years and years old. Stinky hall ways. In Elevator 100 degrees so pray god u never get stuck. Carpets in hallways dirty not being clean years. Its all so out of date. Some fresh colors will help too. They have cameras all over like for online stream but they need do something for the people who paid them to stay. Its nice be by ocean but not cool sleep there. Better go sleep late and get up early. Restaurant by this resort no breakfast. Why yes. Cleaning is main. People sleep there use stuff. Next time i will use black light i guess. Stayed here with friends.We could have probably shared one unit because they much larger than a typical hotel room. The rooms look out over the ocean and pool. Our friend's room looked completely different than ours, but both were cute. Each unit must be individually owned but they all have the same basics....like a fully stocked kitchen, a living room, a separate bedroom, etc. The beach wasn't crowded but I wish I could have found more sea glass. Lots of shells though. People even caught fish on the beach while we were there. Bring your own beach chairs and beach towels because the rooms only have regular size towels. The food is awesome. We ate at the outside tiki bar in the evenings every night. read more

I would beware when staying at this resort. I believe their policy of not returning refunds during a pandemic is completely ludicrous. When I made the reservation the beach and pool were completely open, with no restrictions. I was going on our annual 4th of July trip, and one of the members of our group is not feeling well. Obviously we would not want to risk going out in the public with someone who is sick during this Pandemic. After explaining the situation to the hotel guest representative, she informed us that we were not going to get our refund. Then calling back and speaking with Danielle, the manager, who was unbelievably rude and tried to explain again there would be no refunds given. I believe the lack of concern for other guests staying there and employees is shocking. She finally agreed to give the refund, but said, don't ever come back! read more

We just had a wonderful two night stay at the Island Beach Resort. Vicky at the front desk was very efficient and accommodating. The restaurant/bar staff were friendly and aimed to show you a good time. The food was terrific and great bands played in the afternoons and evenings. The pool was warm and inviting. The beach was footsteps away. We stayed in a one bedroom king, which was beautifully furnished and very clean. A gem in the Jensen Beach area! read more

The place was a disaster for us I was planing to become engaged during this weekend and I dont know about any other rooms except the one I was assigned (402) mistake. We did not get engaged!!!!! The room was very old and worn but the worst thing was BUGS, ants to be more direct. We didnt notice the first night as we arrived just before 9 pm, when the office closed and we were very tired and just wanted to sleep. But the next morning we awoke from a very uncomfortable bed and found ourselfs full of bites, and they were everywhere. After complaining and asking for a refund we were told no refunds and that the room was new and bug free. We have been coming here every year for over 15 yrs..love it..... After making this review a few years ago...I sadly have to change the way we feel about this place.To bring into context to those reading this I am editing my review from years ago where I praise this resort and recommended everyone come here. Management seems to be more upset about setting up a canopy to keep the sun off our children and elderly family members, than the illegal fireworks being set off unprofessionally which ended up accidentally being shot into the pool area where they exploded right in the face of my wife and friend, completely traumatizing the children, who spent the night not wanting to watch fireworks and instead wanted to go inside. Imagine wanting to spend time with children looking up at fireworks but instead dealing with children ages 2 to 12 refusing to come outside again. When I went to management to report the incident, I was told by Danielle, (property manager), there is nothing she can do about it and in fact I should have called the police. I told her after 21 years of coming here, that we may not come back. Instead of her being concerned of losing loyal guests ( 6 to 8 rooms) or even asking if my wife was ok (she showed no concern at all over injuries) she replied with "we were going to tell you that you're not welcome back again." With that being said, as long as Danielle is property Manager with her lack of customer service skills she has displayed repeatedly, I will not plan to come back and I also intend on taking the 10 or more families who have been coming here for years with us somewhere with a better management team. Together between all of us we spend 7k to 10k between rooms and eating at Shuckers. Rest assured, I understand the value of a loyal customer and I will be finding another establishment who understands this as well. Danielle's lack of customer service and total lack of professionalism and attitude has made our vacation unenjoyable and I would recommend you look elsewhere to bring your family. I truly hope someone on the HOA committee or some of the private owners who we rent from see this. I am willing to bet if the management team does not get the proper coaching on handling issues with professionalism there will be a serious problem of filling rooms.. In the past this place was sold out for a July 4th weekend...now there were plenty of rooms available last minute...Good luck in the future. Unfortunately you have lost my family's and friend's loyalty that you have had for the past two decades. So sad one individual can have done this to your establishment.
