They absolutely overcharge for everything. People around here talk about paying the "Island Tax" all the time. But 200% over retail on some items is ignorant. Except for a woman named Tori the rest of the staff is very unprofessional and rude. The men in there especially. Treat both locals and tourists like crap. I have literally no want to ever step back in the door. Try Island Tobacco instead for much better employee personalities and much better pricing. I have grown to loathe this place as much as humanly possible. The manager with the blonde and green hair needs to be fired immediately he is not a manager for sure. He cusses at customers and seems to think they are the only head-shop on the outer banks. Do not support this place until they get their act together,get some employees who give actually care about customer service. I can always tell when owners are around because the staff immediately puts on a different but totally fake attitude. As soon as the owner leaves it's right back to the shi-show it is. read more

Spent hundreds of dollars in the Aragona shop. Last week I needed yet another vape kit and they recommended a NORD RPC because " we have all the parts and accessories." So for convenience and to support local businesses, I purchased it and a box of coils. However, the coils they sold me were too big and I cracked one of the tips trying to remove it. I went in to exchange the wrong coils for the proper ones, but there's no refunds or exchanges and they have NO PARTS! Fortunately I can buy everything they carry and more for a third of the price online. They sell coils for $29.99 that I can get online for $10.99. They clipped me for $100 but it's the last they'll ever see of my hard earned money! They will however see my poor experience and reviews on every possible review platform. read more

Island Dyes, on the highway, is a all in one stop for all your vaping, smoking, concentrate, storage containers, fun shorts, dresses, 3D tapestries, incense, candles, CBD products, and body jewelry, oh and stickers, and I'm sure I've forgotten some things. I have never had a problem with the staff, always helpful. I was a little overwhelmed with all the beautiful glass from around NC and VA and it's a family run business- it's all one family! The brothers are great and the business they've built and grown is awesome. Things are expensive and it's very seasonal here so to watch any business stay in business and grow in this area is remarkable. That's probably why some of the "fancy" glass is more expensive than other places, also, it's the OBX so anything being here is pretty cool! They manufacture SYN glass products, they are so strong and really "top notch" designs- not like it matters but I'm from NY and not easily impressed- art and function together blew my mind!! Oh. My. Gosh. These guys are the nicest, most laid back people I've met in a long time. Both the glass shop and the tie-dye shop are VERY worth going to. We couldn't help but stop by every day this past week. The tie-dye shop is awesome, and very reasonably priced. The glass.... wow. Incredible selection, SUPER REASONABLE prices, and GREAT sales-staff. Sam(?) was really patient with me, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for without going out of my price range. They blow their own glass at their own studio, and it's not only beautiful, but also extremely difficult to break. Their second shop is down in Salvo, and definitely worth the drive if you want to get some rad ink. We WILL be visiting these guys again! read more

This is a chain Head shop. Do yourself a favor and find another glass or vape shop. These guys are hands down the most overpriced shop I've ever been in. I couldn't believe the Mark up on their products. Some things were double the MSRP. I understand the beach is a pricey place anyway but these prices were predatory. They also offer unbreakable glass. Don't be a dummy, Its glass and it breaks. They're using the same glass as most other american glassblowers. There is nothing special about it. If your looking for a unique souvenir that is exclusive to the outer banks then look elsewhere. You can buy this stuff in any of their shops throughout N.C. , Virginia, and D.C read more

Location on Dare trail is only tie dye, location on Croatan is larger with more products. Visited today and was blown away. Employees are amazing, answered every question I had and were kind and patient with us. Back home shops are not like this. In one word: LOVE. read more

The service was awesome! It was a bit pricey for what we were looking for. The 3D wall hangings are a must to check out when you visit. They had a neat collection of glass and the staff was quite knowledgeable and never made us feel as if we were not being looked after. Even when our staff member was helping 4 different customers at the same time, we never felt neglected. I would give it more stars, but I believe the decor could be more up to date and the prices could come down a bit. read more

Every Year we go to the Ramada Inn and we spend a few hours at the Nags Head store staff is very friendly and patient and takes time to explain every feature of products and lets you look as long as you need or want to make your selection. Prices are higher but this business sells Locally made handicrafts priced fairly...sick of everything being from China? Pay your local craftsman to make original things in this country. When i come on vacation here I visit Island Dyes for the experience as much as the purchase of goods I cannot buy in PA (the state to imprison Tommy Chong) Dye shack next door is a fun place for the kids to make a shirt for themselves. I do wish that the shirts could have an Outer Banks or Island Dyes imprint available for us. Also would love it if there was Italian Ice or Popsicle for sale there at the shack. read more

Came down to OBX on vacation. I needed a coil. Yelped to find a vape shop around me and found these guys. Coolest and friendliest staff I've met. One gentlemen challenged me to N64 007 battle for 20%. Definitely recommend going here for anything smoke shop. Good guys. read more
