My family and i have purchased from Island Herb frequently. It is in fact the main place my 66 year old mother likes to go to for a specific strain of cannabis. So usually we are very happy with their service and I hope to leave future reviews with the 5 stars that I know they normally provide.
Unfortunately today's experience was extremely lacking. This was a phone call experience. I called twice, the first call is not why I decided to leave a review. However on the first call I was told I was breaking up and asked if I could call back. I could hear the representative fine and I had full bars on my cell phone; so I am not sure why it was breaking up on their end. As requested I called back and had a different representative answer. This time the response was very odd and prompted a review.
I had a specific request that I know would need a manager to approve. I understood the answer to my request might still be no. But I knew a manager would need to be the one I have to speak to. When I asked the representative to speak to a manager, I was told once again that I was breaking up. Again, I had full bars and I could hear the representative fine. I understood it could be other issues that may be affecting their phone service. The odd thing is that the representative then told me there were plenty of representatives that could assist me.
Now, why would a rep be able to assist me, if as she said the connection was breaking up on their end, yet the manager could not?
Perhaps she meant if I came in. However the whole point in calling ahead of time was to avoid making the trip out to Freeland unless I knew that I would be able to complete the order. My mother depends on her cannabis to manage CPTSD among other things. She is 66 as I said. Today she was just feeling to unwell to go make her usual Sunday stop at Island Herb; Island Herb only offers a senior discount on Sundays. I wanted to ask the manager; if she called and requested the strain and amount she wished to purchase be set aside; with her identification information taken; if I could pick it up for her. I would of course bring her identification with me, along with my own. But this way they could honor the senior discount. If the answer was no, that would have been fine. At least I would have had closure to the request and perhaps a better understanding of their policy decisions.
The whole thing would be moot if they just offered the senior discount all the time as other places do. This way, when she is feeling better, she could go in any day. read more
