Absolute Beachfront Perfection - A True Hidden Gem!…read more Our stay at Sand Glo Villas was nothing short of magical! If you are tired of massive, crowded high-rise resorts and long walks just to touch the sand, this intimate six-unit property is exactly what you need. The Location: You are literally steps from the Gulf of Mexico. You can sit right outside your door with your feet in the sand and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. The Hospitality: The owner, Kat, provides incredible, genuine southern hospitality. From the complimentary Sunday brunch (the quiche and fresh fruit are amazing!) to the evening beach campfires with s'mores, she truly goes above and beyond. The Perks: You truly do not need to pack anything. The property provides free beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and water toys at no extra cost. The Rooms: Spotlessly clean, spacious, and fully stocked with everything you need in the kitchen to feel right at home.

Teresa is fantastic and always around to help us if we need something for the room! Dog friendly, Sunday brunch, small and quiet, it's got everything you need kayaks, lounge chairs, toys for your kids. I can't say enough good about the place. It's right on the beach, steps away from your room, your kids or your dogs might even get a little treat while they are there! I've been going for years now, the towns great, foods amazing, but we go back for Sand Glo and Kat!

This would have been a five star review if it weren't for the hidden charges. Hotel.com and…read morebookings.com both had the price at $143 per night. All taxes and fees included. Crystal Bay's website sent me to their booking "partner" that added $101 in fees and taxes. If you stay here, book your room anywhere EXCEPT their website and save money. Built in 1915. Fully renovated 100 years later in 2015. Crystal Bay Hotel is a class act. Booked online for Friday & Saturday because my condo's mold remediation forced me to vacate. Check in is at 4:00pm. But I arrived early at 1:00pm and was not only cheerfully checked in by Cassandra, she upgraded my room and gave me a spot near the entrance on the first floor, just down the hall from the outdoor pool. My immaculately clean room is approximately 18 X 18, and all the furniture is classy cherrywood (Or a good imitation). Large enough for a wall mounted fairly large screen TV, King size bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, table, 2 chairs, full bath, and kitchenette (Microwave, sink, and fridge). Free WIFI plus The all-in-one wall unit cranks A/C! There is also a hair blow drier and tiny ironing board with iron. The room literature tells the story of the hotel over its 100 plus years in service, and has a news sheet talking up the celebrities that stayed here back when Crystal Bay Hotel was new, including Babe Ruth. The free all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is fantastic! 100% juices, coffees, teas, and almond milk plus other healthy favorites. Scrambled eggs, cheese omelettes, sausage, bacon, hash brown patties, fresh fruit, cereal, dried fruit, waffles, toast, etc. the dining room is decorated with nostalgic memorabilia from various dates in the last 100 years.

Such a historic place that has been restored and modernized (keyless entry, QR code for tips). Friendly service and very comfortable accommodations. I wish I had more time to explore the surrounding property. Cant wait to visit again.

The room was clean - it was on the 5th floor, which is the floor for those traveling with pets and service animals. The room did not smell and everything was clean and comfy. What the...I know it seems like first world problems, but hello we're in Florida with high humidity a for tourists, most likely at the beach all day. They have a fire pit, a small pool with pool towels available. The breakfast was the worst selection at any Hilton, even my husband could t find anything he wanted and he is the least picky person on earth. I didn't witness it myself but when he came back with nothing but a muffin and tales of sad dried eggs, I listen.

Review for Home2 Suites by Hilton - Largo, Florida…read more I strongly recommend staying elsewhere--there's a Marriott right around the corner and several better-quality options in the area. While the rooms are clean and the physical property appears new, this hotel fails completely when it comes to basic service and breakfast quality. On multiple mornings, the "breakfast buffet" has consisted of fried chicken, french fries, and four to five types of bread--but no eggs. Not even hard-boiled. No sausage, no bacon, no real protein. Just leftovers, it seems. One morning, they had quiche instead of eggs, and another time they were out of yogurt for several days. When I asked the staff, they simply said their delivery didn't arrive. That's no excuse--someone could have gone to the store. No one apologized, and no one followed up. This is not an isolated incident. Hilton corporate has not responded to my complaint, which speaks volumes about the management oversight. If you're traveling with kids or looking for a standard Hilton-quality stay, this is not the place. There's no regard for nutrition or basic breakfast expectations, and guests were visibly frustrated each morning. Sadly, it feels like they're just throwing out whatever's left in the fridge. As a Lifetime Diamond member, I've stayed at many Home2 Suites locations, and this is by far the most disappointing. Lack of quality, poor service, and zero accountability. I will not return and suggest others look elsewhere.
