Beautiful. Historical. Romantic. These are some of the adjectives I'd use when describing this location. We came here for our makeshift honeymoon after the pandemic resulted in our cruise getting cancelled and it was exactly what we were looking for. The room was breathtaking and befitting our special ocassion. The staff members made us feel special and were always friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that the site tour was not available, but we understood that the pandemic has resulted in some changes to the amenities. Some other affected services were not fully explained when we arrived, which is part of why I took it down a star. Housekeeping staff was not permitted to enter rooms, which would've been helpful. We had a pile of towels before we finally asked and found this out. The same goes with bed turnover. It just would've been good to know this stuff from the start. The same goes with some other items in the room. The coffee maker was on request. One light was missing a bulb. Just some little stuff like that. The only other thing that takes away from the beauty of this location is the hovering condos surrounding the pool. They're nice condos, but it just makes you feel...observed. The reduction in services was likely an oversight, but it did make me think twice about that 5th star. 4 stars is still a pretty good rating though.

My husband and I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it. Staff was friendly and room service tended to our room every day. We enjoyed the fresh croissants and fruit every morning. Our favorite was the pool and hot tub area where we spent a lot of time and loved that it wasn't packed! Although we were close to the busy beach, it felt like we were tucked away. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Also loved that we could see the sunset from the back of the inn every evening. The grounds are beautiful and we also enjoyed getting fresh iced coffee from the market inside. The whole experience was a 10/10 and just beautiful.

Absolutely wonderful weekend get-away! Loved every minute of our stay! We had a Jr Suite on the 2nd floor (room 214) that overlooked the pool. The room had two queen beds, hardwood floors, a large bathroom with a deep tub, sitting room with TV and fireplace (not a working fireplace any longer.) Very quiet. I loved the breakfast basket delivered to my door each morning. On my first morning, a basket arrived with two large croissants with butter. I made coffee in my sitting room and enjoyed breakfast in my room while watching the news. On my second morning, a larger basket arrived with croissants, two apples and two Tropicana orange juices. While in the pool, I couldn't help but envision the extravagant parties that went on here during the early 1900s. Ladies with big gowns, gentlemen with vests, live music on the porch, the train dropping off passengers out front. Highly reccomend Belleview Inn.

Oh wow this hotel was DREAMY. I was in Clearwater for a friend's wedding and found this historic gem and couldn't resist. I had the best time and it was every bit as magical as I hoped. And special thanks to the employees who made me feel like a VIP and thought of every last detail, including croissants delivered in a basket to my room every morning!

The inn reminded me of a four seasons hotel. It was quiet & quant. They also provide full complimentary valet for their sister hotel (sandpiper) which gives full beach access. I loved the pool, it was so quiet & peaceful. Golf course was beautiful. Will be back!

I celebrated my birthday at the JW Marriott Clearwater and it was easily one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely made me feel special. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning design and a relaxing atmosphere that made the whole stay feel like a true getaway. There are so many amenities to enjoy, which really elevates the experience and makes it feel like a true luxury stay. The only downside for me was that there isn't a sauna, which is something I usually expect at a hotel of this level. It's a small miss, but worth noting. Overall, I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate. I'll definitely be back!

However, the experience took a turn when we were unexpectedly cut off after just three drinks each, despite being completely sober, respectful, and not causing any issues. As a disabled veteran, I'm especially mindful of my behavior in public settings, which made this situation even more confusing and uncomfortable. There was no clear explanation given, which made it feel awkward and honestly a bit embarrassing. We fully support responsible alcohol service, but this felt excessive and poorly communicated--especially considering we were dining and not just drinking. Beautiful spot, but this experience really took away from the night.

As soon as we walked in there was a vibe from the staff that they didn't want a youth team there. They immediately made us sign a hard copy of a contract explaining the rules. You know, the same rules that you agreed to by checking the box when you book online. So that was great. The place was filthy, the hallways and carpets looked as if they hadn't vacuumed in months. There were bits of debris and dust balls on the carpet that hadn't moved in the entire 4 days we were there. The rooms were dusty and out dated, the air from the A/C reeked of wet dog. My sinuses were immediately on fire as soon as it kicked on. From all the other clues, Im pretty sure they don't change the air filters as they should. The bathrooms were also out dated and dirty. Dust and hair in the corners etc. The breakfast, even as free hotel breakfasts go, was disgusting. Microwaved super greasy bacon, a pancake machine that spit out pancakes that tasted like they were made of salt. On top of that, the staff was rude and unreasonable. Definitely avoid this place if possible. Absolutely gross.

I want to start with the positives. The check-in experience was outstanding. Katy and Tina were both professional, welcoming, and efficient. They made a fantastic first impression, and check-in was truly a 10 out of 10. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. One of the reasons we chose this property was the rooftop bar experience, particularly at sunset. Upon arrival, we learned that the bar had been reserved for a wedding party, leaving hotel guests without access during one of the most desirable times of day. The alternative pool bar experience was disappointing. There was only one bartender attempting to serve a large number of guests, and we were never able to receive service. Dinner that evening was even more frustrating. Our server appeared inexperienced, which became apparent when she poured red wine across the table toward me in a way that could easily have resulted in wine being spilled on a guest. We ordered a sushi roll appetizer, but the rice was noticeably undercooked. The bigger issue, however, was that nobody checked back with us. For approximately 10 minutes, there were no servers or managers visible in the dining room. When a manager finally walked by, he kept his head down and did not acknowledge guests. After another 10 to 12 minutes, I was finally able to get his attention and explain the issue. His response was that our server had told him we wanted additional time before ordering. While that was true, it completely missed the point. We had already received an appetizer that was inedible, and nobody had checked on us. By that point, the dining experience had already been damaged. We ultimately skipped the appetizer and ordered entrees. I had the steak, and my wife had the ahi tuna. The food was acceptable but nowhere near memorable enough to overcome the poor service experience. The following day brought another frustration. We had been granted a late checkout, but when we returned to our room around 12:15 p.m., neither our physical key nor our digital key worked. When I went to the front desk to resolve the issue, I found a line of guests and was told I would need to wait. Taken together, these issues point to what appears to be a management problem rather than isolated employee mistakes. The staff members at check-in were excellent, but throughout the rest of our stay there seemed to be a lack of oversight, responsiveness, and attention to guest concerns. This property has great potential and an excellent location, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Based on the reviews and accolades, we expected a premium hotel and dining experience. Unfortunately, that was not what we received.
