This seamstress is absolutely wonderful. The first time I brought two jumpers and a pair of denim jeans to her to get hemmed--she did such a superb job. Just recently, I brought in a pair of jeans and 3 pairs of pants to be hemmed, and a dress with a broken zipper--again beautiful work. She's skilled, quick and efficient, charges, reasonably prices, and is super sweet. I'm so happy I found her. I am so glad I found this wonderful tailor to alter my clothing. I recently took in 4 different brand new pieces of clothing, 2 dresses and 2 tops and she did an amazing job. Unfortunately, i decided to shorten the length of the dresses so will take it back and she agreed to do it for half price. This is worth it to me so i can have something i will wear rather than keep in the closet. I am not able to buy clothes off the rack so often have to alter my clothes so they fit well but the fabrics are more difficult for me to sew (jersey knits) so I prefer having it done professionally. I recently moved back to Hawaii after living away for 31 years so finding a tailor that does good work and is close by, is very important to me. I will be a frequent customer! read more

Small little shop in the corner of the hood, but don't be scared . The nice korean lady is very sweet and helpful. There's a tiny dressing space for you to change in and out of. Took my daughter's prom dress here for alterations. We were in no hurry, but it was completed in a week. She only takes cash or checks!!! So keep that in mind. The material of these dresses were difficult to handle, and Song's Alterations had no problem with it and did an excellent job! In addition she charged me only $10 per dress. Just tried this place for the first time. It says they open at 10am but when I got there no one was there til about 10:20am. The lady didn't say much and would nod occasionally when I asked her if she could do what I asked. I got two things altered. Jumpsuit turned to romper (basically pants to shorts) and a romper with sleeves to sleeveless. I came in on a Monday and picked up that Friday. My only complaint is that she made one of the shorts leg longer than the other, not noticeable until you point it out, and the one I had the sleeves removed I asked her to make it a v opening but she made it round instead. I will definitely go back and hopefully have a better result next time but the prices are decent and a major thing is she only accepts CASH so no cards! Also don't be surprised if she's not there on time it's a super teeny tiny store next to a liquor store. I was actually a little scared of the area. I waited in my car with the doors locked until it was ready to open. read more

I was very pleased with Song's alterations and her reasonable prices. I asked if she would repair the zippers on my daughter's pair of jeans and high waist denim skirt, replace the button on my son's shorts and alter the sleeves on a camel colored coat. Terrible customer service - Highly Skilled seamstress! I dropped my pants off for alteration on Monday and requested a rush for Wednesday. Come Wednesday, the pants were not done. The seamstress said to return the following day and retrieve my item from the liquor store owner next door at any time. When I went to get my pants on Thursday, the store owner said his wife had the key to the shop but she was out shopping and to come back at 2pm. Coming from Kapolei, this was a gross waste of my time and resources! Respect your customers time! Do what you say you are going to do! read more
