Even some of the food trucks I liked last time were not there anymore. Unless they make big changes this was my last stop. There is no draw pulling me there. Repurpose Kauai's owner, Noelani Hummel, takes ocean waste such as fishing line and nets and turns them into household items & handicraft art with an eco-friendly resin. Those of y'all who've followed me for a while know that I've participated in ocean clean up scuba diving for over 6 years, taking fishing line, hooks, weights, nets, and general garbage off of the ocean reefs. I've always felt bad, just bagging up the ocean waste that ended up at the HPower incinerator or land fill, with the exception of one or two guys melting the lead weights and recycling it into scuba dive weights. Noelani's work really continues the clean up and helps divert some of that ocean waste stream into household items, very cool! I'll probably plan on making a big purchase for the holiday season, I have a feeling that my clean up friends will get a big kick out of Repurpose Kauai's goodies, even making a day trip back to the Garden Island if I have too! Please take care of this awesome vendor! Will definitely repeat and highly recommend!

As I scanned the place & was about to walk away entirely, I spotted a sliver of hope at the window displays! Lo & behold, I saw it. Spoke to the shopkeeper, Jaime, & inquired if she has more or other designs. She showed me a spot at the back that I walked past & didn't notice. Wow! There were about 4-5 other designs. She was very friendly & accommodating. I took photos to send to Hubby coz he was too pooped to continue the hunt with me. So far, Hubby likes the first one I saw at the window, the rustic & more vintage looking sign. Now, we will take a vote.
