What a blast! I had no idea this outfitter existed until last night - when our friend Holly rented it for her birthday party for s 2 hour tour (think the theme song for Gilligan's Island). The owners were so nice, they actually gave us an extra 30 minutes for a 2.5 hour tour. Yes, there is a toilet on board. Yes, there is a bar. No hard liquor but they have beer, wine, hard ciders and a wine made to taste like tequila for their version of a margarita. We got the watermelon ones. Mmm... Yes, you can bring your own food n board. Our birthday girl brought a stack of pizzas, chips, dips and a birthday cake. Yes, they get you as up close to the falls as legally allowed. Yes, there are plenty of tables and comfy sofa style benches to relax on while you take in the sunset. Yes, they have bluetooth speakers so you can all jam to your favorite tunes. Yes, they provide a karaoke machine so your party can garble the 2 whole hours if they want. I really can't think of a downside except that the birthday girl kept saying that she wished the night wouldn't end. Thanks to the great staff who kept the drinks flowing and go us off on time and gave us a little extra time to enjoy ourselves. read more

THIS is a MUST do while in Portland...especially for Locals!! The Tiki style river cruise was a perfect experience. The pontoon boat is laid out comfortably, the drinks and snacks were very reasonably priced, parking was super easy and the area you park in has many food, wine, shops to experience before or after your cruise. Our captain was very knowledgeable and he taught all of us about the rich history of the both the water way and the many BRIDGES that span the river. We happened to go out on an evening of perfect 78degree weather, the breezes were warm and tropical... WE WILL BE BACK! read more

Had a really great time on the sunset cruise. My sister and her family were in town for their first visit to Portland and wanted to do a river cruise. The crew was really friendly and attentive, and the price of drinks was surprisingly cheap. The host of the evening did a great job toeing the line between giving facts/playing tour guide and letting people enjoy themselves. It was a good mix of interesting info without being overbearing. The tour goes south down way to Dunthorpe, turns and comes back on the far side of Ross Island, then goes up past the Fremont Bridge for unobstructed sunset views before heading back to dock. The price for the tour was right -- it was cheaper than the Portland Spirit's dinner cruise (the only tour they offer for sunset) and longer than their late afternoon happy hour cruise. Overall I recommend Island Style for a fun and easy tour of the Willamette! read more

The area from the Ross Island Bridge south for 2 miles is zone. The Szal did not know what a no wale zone is. He passed us a total of four times while we were anchored up in one spot. And he did not bother to follow the no wake zone that was posted. It's pretty sad for somebody who's driving a boat for a living. read more

The boat is super comfortable and relaxing and the entire day was smooth sailing (pun intended!) I love their affordable beers and beverages and the smaller boat (40 passenger max) allows you to even get a ride UNDER the Steel Bridge - a very special experience.
