Coming from SWFL, I'm familiar with franchise tanning locations, where customer service can be WILDLY hit or miss. It's often the part of the tanning experience you try to swerve. Back home it was rare to bump into my favorite bubbly, professional, informative, friendly salon associates. Unfortunately on busy evenings I'd somehow get stuck with immature, boisterous teens, talking on their phones, ignoring clients, commenting on customers appearances or literally spending time with friends, complaining about the length of their shifts. And first time walk-in moments can be as intimidating as car shopping, with high pressure moments that leave you assuming there's a pushy management team working on commission. NOT THE CASE HERE- certainly not the case with Maddie. Maddie was polite, professional, pleasant, and informative(giving me a tour of the facility and high level fun down of the membership options). She was also totally respectful of my assertive request to tan once in a stand up bed, even though she mentioned it likely wouldn't greatly affect my appearance. The salon is clean and updated. The booth is impressive and easy to use. Information is posted in the room regarding supplemental membership marketing apps and health guidelines in a clean appealing way. Upon leaving I told Maddie I was interesting in reviewing membership materials and signing up. It was a comfortable experience that I would recommend to anyone. The location and the staff felt like home. It felt like a place I would tell my friends and family to try. Very clean and tidy rooms. She explained the spray tan machine thoroughly, and patiently answered all of my questions. It was a great experience. I got the spray tan, which took about 10 minutes, and finished up in the stand up tanning unit across the hall. Beautiful results. Tanning is so different now from what it used to be. Which in turn makes customers not even want to tan. This place is typical tanning. No discounts, specials or real deals but it is close by to my office so I can get here easy and tan. I bought a unlimited month here and even renewed and they wouldn't give me a discount on heavily marked up lotion. Not a good way to make customers repeat their business. If you want to upgrade to a nicer bed it starts getting really pricey. Don't buy your lotion here as they are way too expensive. I buy mine online and save quite a bit of money. My real problem with this place is that I was told by the girl running the front desk that if I bring a friend in who buys a package I would get a free upgrade to a nicer bed. Just one upgrade on one day...... Doesn't seem like a huge expense on the business...... I brought a friend in, she bought a package and then they wouldn't upgrade me. I asked for the manager and of course she wasn't there and they said that the girl who told me that moved to another state. I asked for the manager to call me and of course he/she didn't. Could even tell me on the phone that this wasn't something they could do. Just didn't call at all. Do what you say you are going to do.....If you cant stand true to your word then what good are you?? If the wrong information was communicated to me, fine, tell me that. Don't hide from a customer. This place needs new management or something. I will not be bringing ANYONE else to this place. I hate that they are so close to me, otherwise, I wouldn't come here at all.
