I would not have signed up for a membership had it not been for the above and beyond service from Maddie. New to the area, I had no expectations. Coming from SWFL, I'm familiar with franchise tanning locations, where customer service can be WILDLY hit or miss. It's often the part of the tanning experience you try to swerve. Back home it was rare to bump into my favorite bubbly, professional, informative, friendly salon associates. Unfortunately on busy evenings I'd somehow get stuck with immature, boisterous teens, talking on their phones, ignoring clients, commenting on customers appearances or literally spending time with friends, complaining about the length of their shifts. And first time walk-in moments can be as intimidating as car shopping, with high pressure moments that leave you assuming there's a pushy management team working on commission. NOT THE CASE HERE- certainly not the case with Maddie. Maddie was polite, professional, pleasant, and informative(giving me a tour of the facility and high level fun down of the membership options). She was also totally respectful of my assertive request to tan once in a stand up bed, even though she mentioned it likely wouldn't greatly affect my appearance. The salon is clean and updated. The booth is impressive and easy to use. Information is posted in the room regarding supplemental membership marketing apps and health guidelines in a clean appealing way. Upon leaving I told Maddie I was interesting in reviewing membership materials and signing up. It was a comfortable experience that I would recommend to anyone. The location and the staff felt like home. It felt like a place I would tell my friends and family to try. Especially when tanning is something with stigma- I trust this place and I trust their staff to advocate for smart products and my safety. Thanks for welcoming me PBT TEAM. I just joined this location in Mooresville and I have found the staff very friendly, greeting me at the door, and attending to my requests very professionally. They quite busy with the more advanced tanning beds, so I am quite happy with my "beginner bed" that takes a little longer, but I enjoy the nap. They just added an infrared sauna and I am excited to give it try soon. read more

I've only been there one time but so far so good. I'm Indian and I never burned because I tan a lot and I didn't burn today but I could tell I got more sun than I normally do especially because I tan a lot in the tan of it. I switched closer to home because I moved away from where I used to live, but I was still going back to town there and this is my new tennis spot and I love it, so yes, I recommend it read more

I walked in at 8:35 and no one was at the front desk. I stood there for at least 5 minutes and STILL no one came to the front. I heard girls talking so i opened the door again so the bell would ring. Finally, someone came to the front desk only to tell me that no booths were available cause they had already started cleaning. If the store closes at 9, services should be provided until then. if you start cleaning at 8:45, then close the store. read more

I go to Palm Beach tan because they are in almost every state and town I travel to. I have to say this is by far the best one Irene helped me with my spray tan and did exactly what they say she checked my under tone and recommend the best for my skin type. I am so glad I have one more week here so I can go see her again and she will know exactly what I want. I wish I could take her and put her in every town I went to she is the best. I travel a lot and Palm Beach Tan is the best out there . I use to only airbrush but there spray tan is awesome and they will help you with anything you need . Right when I walked in, I greeted the woman at the front. She didn't greet me lol. So I asked her what kind of beds they have. She stared at me for a second and blinked her eyes dramatically. "What kind of beds do we have....." super condescending. She then had a girl show me around what kind of beds they had. None were good. But I'm here from Florida for a few days. So I decide to do a level 4 bed. "Don't give her the full time" says the GM (I'm assuming). I'm standing there like... uh if I'm paying for this I want the full time. I HAD TO BEG THIS WOMAN TO LET ME TAN FULL TIME. Because she said I was too pale. Lol I'm Spaniard and have olive skin. I don't burn easily. It was back and forth with this woman. SO CONDESCENDING AND DISRESPECTFUL. I definitely would pick a different tanning spot. read more

What can I say, the absolute rudeness and condescending behavior of Brittney, the manager is frankly, unbelievable! She gave me a lecture that went on and on about how I could only have 1 pair of eye stickers.I asked for a pair of eye stickers because I left my goggles in my other car, even apologizing to her about my forgetfulness. Yes, it was the second time I received them. The first time, the employee offered them to me without any stipulation about it being a one time deal. She wanted to charge me for them as she pulled out a roll with literally thousands of them. I told her to charge my account, and with a very snippy attitude, was gracious enough to give them to me. Lately, there has been many new faces with bad attitudes and it seems Brittney is setting that example! I will never go back and I will refer anyone who asks to stay clear. I paid for a custom tan where they color match my skin. I also bought all the products they said I needed to keep my tan looking great , however even though i followed all directions my tan rinsed right off in the shower leaving me with ugly streaks that wouldn't wash off right away! When I returned for a new tan, the employee (Brittany) was rude and kept looking past me to check on new customers. Then she told me I'd have to by an extra $20 product or she couldn't guarantee that the tan wouldn't turn orange. No apology, no offer to mitigate, just disinterest and a demand for more money! Do you call this customer service! Do you expect to retain customers! I want my money back and an apology! read more

I'm about ready to give up on tanning at my gym. It's inexpensive but the bulbs are rarely changed. I stopped by Palm Beach Tan a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the beds they have available. Upon my arrival, a young lady gave me tour of all the beds. They have 6 levels of beds and spray tan, as well. After my tour, I spoke with her and another lady (I'm guessing the manager) at the front desk about prices. I was very interested in the level 5 bed, as my gym has the level 4 bed minus a few bulbs. For a month of tanning in the level 5 bed it's 80 dollars. I wanted to try the bed once to see how I liked it. The price for one visit in the level 5 bed is 33 dollars with tax. The bed was excellent. It has music, air conditioning, a misting system, and a color level option. I could live without all the talking it does. I do get lonely at times with my fiancee in Kuwait, but not that lonely. I did get a decent amount of color in the bed. I stayed in the bed for 8 minutes and the max time was 12 minutes I believe. I did a little research and found another tanning salon in the nearby area. The beds(mostly stand-up) and salon weren't quite as nice, but 20 dollars less per month. They also gave me my first tanning session for no charge. I didn't get quite as much color as I did at Palm Beach Tan, but the session was complimentary and prices were 20 dollars less per month. A couple days later I called Palm Beach Tan to see if they could offer me the same rate as the other salon. They said they couldn't. I would love to go to back to Palm Beach Tan if they'd only be a bit more competitive with their pricing. read more

This place would get 4 stars if I didnt always stand in line waiting while one particular employee tries to sell the dang lotions to everyone. She made me listen to her pitch while it was reinforced over and over how i must buy a lotion my first time in. Maybe this is her commission but standing in line for 10 minutes waiting to tan while beds are open and listening about 5 different lotions is very frustrating on top of not even being acknowledged that we are standing here waiting as her nose stays in the computer. The beds are nice. Other employees as well. The versicare is good although one time it half sprayed me and I told them and the front desk girl told me to go shower. Never offered a reimbursement so I had to rush home and shower which I wasnt planning on doing. I cant wait for my month to be up so I can cancel. read more

I had made an appointment at 9:30 to get a spray tan, took them over 20 min for me to finally get in the room. I followed the directions that they gave me "shower in 3-4 hours to look like the tan you have now" so that's what i did. The ladies were extremely nice and looked like they knew what they were doing. But when i got home waited for 3 hours and took a shower most of the tan went away and now i'm extremely blotchy/orange. I have prom tomorrow night, too bad i will look like Donald Trump at my first prom. Wish my first spray tan experience was better, not blaming the employees at all just wish it turned out to be better. read more

My daughter was in today around 3:00. When she got to the car she realized she left her fitbit in the room. She walked back in to get it and it was not there. The only other person to enter the room was Whitney to clean it. My daughter used her phone to synch with the fitbit while standing there and it synched proving the fitbit was still in the shop. Amanda was at the desk and told her they were not responsible for belongings and then proceeded to ignore her the rest of the time she was in there. We returned later hoping to speak with a manager only to find out the manager was Amanda who blew her off. We tried synching with the fitbit again and it would not show up. Conveniently both Whitney and Amanda had left for the day. I am certain that Whitney stole the fitbit when she entered the room to clean it. My daughter was not gone more than a couple of mins max, no one else had entered the room, no one was waiting to use the room, and no one else exited the building but her and her friend. Whitney should have been questioned and her belongings searched. read more

Well I know Palm Beach Tan is a little more expensive than other places but I live walking distance so it is very convenient for me. Then beds are clean but I do not recommend using the level one beds... that are worthless. Plus if you want to do their stand up to get evenly tanned on your sides you have to pay more. Which seems ridiculous since there is only one and it is more like a level one bed... Okay so I went in a few months ago and accidently left my rings on the mirror with the "Palm Beach Tan" sign on the shelf along with them.. Well I called not even 10 minutes after I left and the girl staff member said she did not see anything. So she pocketed my rings because when I can back in there she acted all strange and did not want to help me.. Tried talking to the manager the next day but she was not the least bit of help. So do NOT trust the staff. The girl stole my rings and one was a Tiffany's ring the my fiancée had bought for me, pretty upsetting! So then I decided not to go back for a while and just place my account on hold. This way I would not have to pay the extra fee for starting to tan there.. What a freakin' joke! I went in since I have had some time to let go of some little girl for stealing my rings.... The girl that was working told me I had to pay the reopening fee just like you pay when you first start tanning. I said well is that not the reason I froze my account so I don't have to pay that fee. She said no that I had to pay that and then some for my sessions. So needless to say I canceled my membership and will NEVER go back. This is the worst tanning salon in Mooresville. I wouldn't give it one star. read more
