very nice quaint setting and warm atmosphere. Misinformation about pricing lead me to ask for clarification from the owner who was dismissive and non helpful. I reviewed her business and immediately following my review, called me then my daughter to ban us from all of the stores ... for a less than perfect review. I am offended and had no plans of returning .

I had an AMAZING experience at Island Wellness today! I was looking for a blend of recovery and relaxation services for after my AM workout but was unsure of what to book. I called and Casey, the owner, helped to custom plan my experience. She started me off with a super chill session in the salt cave. It was FREEZING cold outside so the heated mat draped on my zero gravity chair made everything feel jussssssssst right. My airways were nice and open afterwards. The glowing crystals, my CBD lollipop, and gentle meditative music put me in the perfect headspace to enjoy my next experience, the infared sauna. Oh. My. God. I loved this one. I tapped into my inner lizard and basked in the warmth. I'm not sure what it is about the infared light, but I didn't get overly hot like in a traditional sauna. I just felt relaxed and could spend enough time in there to actually feel my muscles thanking me. The sauna was half of the Fire and Ice combo, which I had hesitations of signing up for since the "ice" referred to the cryo chamber which went down to negative 300 degrees or something crazy!!! But with some words of encouragement from Casey and her team I can honestly say Yes! I DID IT! I DID CRYOTHERAPY!!! It was awesome. Cooler than a polar bears toenails for sure. My skin tingled INTENSELY afterwards from the increased circulation. What a weird and wonderful feeling. Certainly one not to be missed! In short if you are into fitness (or even if you're not), RUN, don't walk to Island Wellness. Would definitely recommend....

I really don't know what to give this place for a rating because I am not sure if it takes a lot of visits to have an effect but the only effect that I got from this visit was my sinuses burning. We went upstairs to a room that had salt all over the floor and had kind of a funky relaxing atmosphere. We chose the two seats that was heated and there was one other one which was the max allowed in the room but that one was empty. We sat in the chairs and music was playing. It was kind of nice music, very relaxing and that's all we did. We sat in those seats for 45 minutes and I really don't know what was supposed to happen except as I said my sinuses were burning afterwards. We were very relaxed when we left there but we pretty much had taken a 45 minute nap. I can't say that I didn't enjoy it because I did enjoy sitting relaxing and listening to music. As far as health benefits I think that remains to be seen and as I said may take more visits than one. It was interesting though that they had so many other types of wellness machines like cryotherapy and halo therapy to offer as well as others that I had never heard of but looked interesting. I took one of their brochure so I could check into those. It was interesting and I'm glad I went but I don't know that I'll go again

Annie, the owner is just lovely and so accommodating. Walking inside you can feel the zen-like calm and healing spirit, plus it smells like eucalyptus. I like the 30-minute session, or you can opt for 45 minutes. The sauna warms you to the bone. And it's hot. Feels great on a cold, windy day. Usually the sauna is about 140 degrees but I usually go a bit lower in temp like 125-130 degrees. There's a rainbow of light colors -- my fav is green. There's a package of 3-sessions for $60 for newbies. Otherwise, the unlimited passes are the way to go. It's easy to get hooked. Parking is plentiful and there's various types of water available for sale in case you forget to bring some. Towels are also provided, but there's no showers so bring loose clothing with you so you can easily change afterwards.

Hadn't set off in a sauna in a couple of years and a quick google search led me to The Preserve. I…read morehad a few hours to myself while my husband was at home with our baby so I was able to snag a spot for a Saturday afternoon after having a solo lunch. It's located inside another business so I was initially confused for a bit but clear signage led me to the right place. Walked in, lady at the front desk explained the process as this was the first time. Everything was clean and bright and brought about a very welcoming feeling. Also, you need to book your appointment in advance as they don't do walk-ins. The session lasts about 30 minutes with an extra 3-4 minutes to take off clothes and get settled (they have a timer nearby). The sauna itself was not big enough to lie down on your back but it was a nice sauna with different lighting options as well as a built-in Bluetooth speaker to hook up your music if it has Bluetooth capabilities. Once the timer beeps when the 30 minutes are up, you can easily move over back to the changing room, wipe yourself down, get dressed and head out. They offer a few extras things like shower wipes, sprays, etc. that you can pay for on the way out as well. Walked out very relaxed and hoping I can squeeze in another session before I move away from the area soon! Two thumbs up!

The massage was exactly what I needed to release the pain and pressure points. And the TMJ work really sealed the deal and made me so thankful for finding Heather! I hold a lot of tension in my mouth, grind my teeth in my sleep and my jaw clicks constantly depending on how stressed I am. Heather's skills helped melt all that away for weeks! I feel like my body was reset. She's so knowledgeable and understands how to explain exactly what is going on with your body through massage, your blood type, eating habits and lifestyle. I would WITHOUT question recommend Heather to anyone and everyone that wants to feel better on any level. Her experience, skills, knowledge speaks volumes through her energy and massage. I will be scheduling another 90 minute deep tissue and TMJ work every time I go to Newport! She has now become one of my staples during my trips here! I can't thank you enough Heather!

She is truly incomparable, and the only thing we can say to the negative is that all other massages we have once back home will pale miserably in comparison. I swear we would pay the $$ to fly or sail back up to Newport just to have another massage from Heather. Low-key and a solo venture, the "frills" are in Heather's adept hands, perfect pressure and methods to make sure your aching body's needs are attended to in a personal and professional manner. Look nowhere else when in Newport! Your only regret, if from out of town, will be that you can't take Heather with you.
