I made a reservation for a 90 minute massage and added foot and head treatment. After all of the add ons, it was undoubtedly expensive. I went in and was happy to see an effort is clearly made to keep the atmosphere relaxing. I was taken to a rest area that is admittedly cramped. Amber was on time. I made a reservation for a deep tissue. Admittedly Amber didnt use the most heavy of pressure but it certainly falls under the deep category. She is just so, so amazing. She knows where to go, she knows what combination of technique to use. She was able to release knots that other well trained masseuses have overlooked in so many massage therapy sessions. The head and foot treatment were extra relaxing and created a clarity that I aim for but seldom achieve in a massage. This place is great and I will be undoubtedly back

For me, Jen was great, expressive hands and knew just where the "hot spots" were. One of the things I really like is the attitude of the staff and the owner (I think it was the owner.) Everyone is calm, friendly but not too friendly if you know what I mean, and all the therapists seem happy to work here. The ones we see have been here since we started coming, which says a lot for a place. We're more familiar with the massages than the facial or anything else (our first facial, and we haven't tried anything else, honestly), but recommend Aluna without hesitation.

So I had a ton on my mind up until our wedding day. Cake, rings, catering, people, logistics, etc... We paid $169 for a 2 week couples membership. I thought it was a bit high. But we were in need. We used the gym 1 day before I happen to notice that our resort offers a gym membership at another RVA resort for FREE. I notified the owner as soon as I found out and asked for a refund considering we had access to a free gym and it would save us the $169 expense. She declined any type of refund. Completely disappointing considering she probably knew how scattered my brain was from all the wedding planning. So we made it a point to visit the gym so see if we could talk with her. And she completely ignored us. It's a shame they weren't more accommodating on such a trying time for me.
