The property is well maintained. Maintenance staff friendly and helpful. Front desk staff not so much. The unit we stayed in was beautiful.

Hotel was nice for a family. Breakfast was good and our room was spacious. The lazy river was nice,…read moreand even though they have limited floaties, I felt we always had a chance to use them when we wanted them. If you go to the beach, you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas from a third party, however it was pricey so I would suggest bringing your own if you plan to go multiple days. They had fireworks on the beach off the pier which were nice to see. They had activities for the kids by the pool, however they do charge extra and are not included with your stay. Only a few minor complaints that aren't deal breakers such as the bathroom sink sprayed water everywhere, sit down breakfast took a long time due to crowds, very slow Wi-Fi, and outdoor showers didn't have enough water pressure to get all the beach sand off adequately. The only pain point I can say about our stay is the website states the parking is $15/day and the hotel staff indicated upon checkout that they now charging $20 and have been for several months. Even though there is nothing indicating the price increased and that they are aware that the website contains the incorrect amount, they refused to honor the $15/day parking price. Although the difference is only $5 (or $7.20 after taxes), this adds up daily. The hotel could have easily accommodated a price match since it is their own website stating a lower amount.

Failed to mention lazy river is closed, failed to mention breakfast buffet is no longer offered…read moreeven though both their website and AI chat say it is still active. Room smelled like dead fish. No soundproofing between rooms. Broken a/contests unit covered in nasty stuff. Cracked bathtub. Hairs and stains in bedding on arrival. Hairs in shower on the wall. Wifi was the worst I have ever encountered. 2MBP/s. Our mobile hotspot was way faster. I think our dial up was faster in 2004.. Surfaces and floor clearly weren't cleaned. Most likely for a long, long time judging by the inch+ or so of grime on them. Hotel staff did nothing to make it right. Active duty military, Valentine's Day weekend. We rarely get to take time for ourselves and this was HOURS of searching to choose this hotel. It's been a nightmare. Satisfaction guarantee? NOPE. Corporate said they can't do anything! People are also blatantly smoking marijuana in the hallway. Update: Tiki bar is also closed!! Restaurant refused to feed our kids claiming they ONLY served the $90 Valentine Special. The Restaurant was completely empty. Entire hotel was a ghost town. They were not "fully booked", they were only booking 2 floors because the rest were under construction. There were a maximum of 5 people in the restaurant morning, noon, and night. Indoor pool totally empty. Only saw one person outside by the fires, a single elderly woman. The place was abandoned despite advertising fully booked. I checked out 2 days early. Don't go here if you value your time at all. We called corporate and spoke to the manager downstairs. She told us only the general manager could do anything and he conveniently would not be there until the day we were scheduled to check out. Corporate told us only the general manager could do anything also and they could not, would not, do anything.

We had a fabulous time at this resort! The hotel restaurant food was way above average for Holiday…read moreInn hotels in general. Special shout-out to Orlando for his terrific blackened mahi mahi - superb!!! All resort staff were friendly and accommodating. As a wheelchair user, I particularly appreciated access to a beach wheelchair - at no cost! One suggestion, coming from a wheelchair user - please note that when a person is seated on the shower bench, the dispensers for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are out of reach. I suspect that should be fairly simple to correct. Otherwise, great resort!

My wife, Juliann, and I just enjoyed our first-ever weekend getaway as a couple without the kids,…read moreand it was exactly what we needed. Let's start with the resort itself. The property is beautifully maintained, clean, and updated. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was efficient, friendly, and welcoming. Throughout our stay, the housekeeping and groundskeeping teams were incredibly helpful and, most importantly, genuinely proud of where they worked. That pride was evident in the care they put into every detail and the joy they showed while interacting with guests. The pool area was absolutely gorgeous, and the lazy river offered fun for guests of all ages. One of our favorite features was the waterfall--it created a peaceful ambiance with its calming sound that made it easy to relax and unwind. Beach access was convenient, well maintained, and just steps away. The breathtaking views gave us the perfect opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy some much-needed time together. A special thank you goes to the staff at Riptides. We highly recommend having breakfast there! Raelynn and Crystal both went above and beyond to make every meal enjoyable. Crystal provided outstanding service and was warm, personable, and attentive throughout our visit. During one lunch, a storm rolled in unexpectedly, and Raelynn made sure we stayed dry, helped us get settled, and quite literally saved our lunch date. Her kindness and quick thinking didn't go unnoticed. We also have to recognize Joe and Diego at the Tiki Bar. These two are true masters of their craft. They were friendly, engaging, and consistently made outstanding cocktails that kept us coming back throughout our stay. We even took advantage of the hot tub and fitness center to start each day refreshed. But as parents, we discovered something important: you go into a vacation thinking you'll pack every minute with activities, when in reality, the greatest memories come from slowing down. At this beautiful Holiday Inn Resort, it was the peaceful moments, meaningful conversations, new friendships, and uninterrupted time together that made this trip unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who helped make our first kid-free getaway such a memorable experience. We can't wait to come back!

The next morning I asked for room service to clean the room because our toddler got poop on the sheets and they forgot to do our room. I had to change our sheets and clean. It took 3 weeks to talk to a manager and they notified me there was nothing they could do for us. We've stayed here twice before and never experienced something this bizarre. Our family won't use Hilton services again.

Worst Customer Experience Ever!!! This was hands-down the most unprofessional, infuriating hotel…read moreexperience I've ever had. The front desk was COMPLETELY abandoned for over 50 minutes. Not a single employee in sight. I had to walk into the back office yelling for help like it ghost town In their office. I called and emailed every manager listed and absolutely NO response. after a few time walking behind the desk and in the back offices, I found the owner's personal number in the back office and called him. No answer. To top it off, there was NO WiFi, NO working TV channels, and the screen literally just said "OFF THE AIR." The place is falling apart and no one seems to care. Guests were walking in looking just as confused and abandoned as I felt. Not a single staff member around to assist anyone. This place shouldn't even be allowed to operate. It's a disgrace to hospitality. DO NOT STAY HERE under ANY circumstances. Spend your money literally anywhere else.

We were impressed with the check in, very friendly and informative staff. We realize that this…read morebuilding is not new and we liked the remodeling that was done. Over all, we would stay here again because of the cleanliness, friendliness of staff, convenience of in house restaurant, food truck, outdoor bars and two pools as an option, and walking distance to four other restaurants and souvenir shops and the location was perfect! Everyone has expectations of their own in how they "think" places to stay should be, but, there again, we were very fortunate to be able to book this place and would stay here again. Cons: 1. Did not know that they would put a hold of 445.00 on our credit card for any other charges 2. Phone in room did not work the whole time we were there and notified staff 3. Air conditioner would not go below 68 for sleep and when you were there it would heat up to 74 and very humid in the room as well. 4. Washer Dryer only takes credit cards and not cash 5. Could not check out on the TV as indicated ( really not a big deal, but would have been a convenient factor) 6. Check out was another surprise of $16 for parking plus tax and $29 plus tax for entertainment provided (we did not use the entertainment, but was still charged for this)

My mom and I take a trip for her birthday every year. After a long morning of flying, we arrived to…read morethe "resort". There were two front desk employees there, one was finishing checking in a family, so we went to the second, Shade. We were not greeted or even looked at in the eyes, she even yawned in our faces a few times. We checked in around 2pm, but were treated like we were an inconvenience. The only time she smiled at us was when her coworker mentioned she would be next to go on break, then she smiled and laughed with the coworker. We get it, we also worked customer service, even at hotels, so this must have just been an off day for her. When asked how to avoid the smoke fee (as listed in previous reviews) when blowdrying my hair, her advise was to blowdry my hair in a closed bathroom. I could not do that as it was way too hot, so I just didn't blowdry my hair the whole vacation. For the amount we spent for a double room suite- beach front, I should have been able to blowdry my hair in my room without concern for a $250 smoking fee. The next day after we finish up breakfast, we went to the front desk to ask about a late check out on our last day. Shade is there, so we go up smiling and ready to give her another chance. When we ask for a late check out she says and repeats the phrase "you will need to ask day of" about 3x. We understood the first time, but we were asking that IF it was available day of, what time would late check out be? Would it be 12pm, 1pm, 3pm, what was the policy at this specific hotel? "you will need to ask day of". very rude and blunt. That same day, we head to the beach where two chairs and one umbrella cost $60 for the day plus tax (should be included for a "resort") we get a call from the front desk asking us to come back to the front desk because our keys will no longer work for our room. Its my moms birthday, so I tell her to stay and I go from the beach to the front desk (about a 10 minute walk) and speak with a manager. The manager then asks what time we checked in last night because they had us as a no show. The only reason they knew we were there was because housekeeping saw us leave the room that morning. This means that anyone could have checked in our room that night or that day because we had been improperly checked in. I told her we checked in the afternoon (2pm), Shade was there so the manager asked her what happened. She then blamed us for checking in with a "large group". It was just me and my mom, the people before us were checking in with the other front desk employee. There were no apologies, there were no concessions offered, just a "here are your new keys" and that was it. The "resort" is a no smoking resort, but the smell of marijuana was everywhere. We saw a carton of cigarettes floating in the water at the beach on our first day. Even the bands that were hired by the resort were smoking during their sets. The room was cleanish, but really out dated. there were no closets or robes as any other "resort" would provide. The AC worked but it was so loud I was woken up many times by it. We stayed during the fourth of July, and because we were ocean front, all the illegal fireworks on the beach were going off until around midnight. One of the fireworks set off on the beach actually caught the tall grass in front of our rooms on fire. We weren't able to sleep until they stopped. I do not recommend this "resort" in any capacity, but especially for the price. Go elsewhere if you want a relaxing beach vacation
