I feel so horrible for this overdue review but better late than never. I loved my entire experience with them! The month of my wedding was very stressful, I was a MOH at my best friends wedding (planning for that on top of mines), my grandmother passing and closing deals at work.On my wedding day my on site planner (family friend) husband had vomited and fainted at venue, my wedding cake stand was lost, part of my bridal party was late, my dad smelled like a combination of smoked meat, irish spring soap with axe shampoo....... anyhow with that being said I'm so glad Isle Media was there. They just did their thing and not add to any of my stress. All the important photos I wanted was captured!! After 4 years I still enjoy looking at the photos and watching the video. So, when we first met with Isle Media at the Wedding Expo, we knew they absolutely had to be our photographer, videographer, and make-up artists (we booked them 18 months in advance just to make sure we could have them). It was such a bonus for me to be able to hire one company (less coordination, which is amazing if you are planning your wedding yourself), and it was such a value, that we got to pick and choose what services we wanted instead of having to purchase a package. They did such an excellent job, it is hard to believe that as a company, they have only been around for two years. Professionalism: When looking for a photographer/ videographer, I was told to pick someone you can get along with because you will spend the entire day with them. Thank god, Isle Media was so cool. From the beginning, we worked with Reese, who was always so nice and responsive. We had opportunities to meet with him face-to-face, he promptly responded to all of my e-mails, and answered my phone calls. Isle Media was extremely flexible with us, especially since we had to make changes to our timeline couple days before the wedding. While I was freaking out, Reese kept reassuring us that it was no problem and he would coordinate with his team. My bridal party actually had a lot of fun hanging out with the Isle Media crew for the day of the wedding. They worked so hard through the night (the entire time they were taking pictures and video). Artistry: Just by looking through their work, I felt like they didn't just take beautiful pictures, but they captured moments. In their videos and their pictures, you could see the genuine emotion, which is what I wanted for my wedding. I also felt that they were extremely creative, and artistic in their style. Beauty Team: Zairrah, is such a talented make-up artist. She did an amazing job for my bridal make-up and all of my bridesmaids. I loved how natural all of our make-up looked (even though we probably had a lot on). =) The best part, was that my make-up stayed the entire night. Usually, my eye-liner ends up, under my eyes, making me look like a tired panda, but somehow, she magically got my make-up to stay. A couple times throughout the night, I just had to oil blot. My wife and I recently got married this past May at the Hale Koa Hotel and are so thankful that we ran into Alan and the Isle Media team at the wedding expo. From start to finish, Alan was very genuine and professional, and helpful in every way. Everyone on his crew was very pleasant to be around, there was never a time we felt like this was just a job to them. On the day of the wedding, your videographer will be the first person you see in the morning and the last person you see after it's done, so it's important to have someone who you don't mind spending the entire day with. From the time they showed up in the morning, I could tell that they were excited to be there, and as the day went on the crew even would joke around with us and laugh with us as we went through the day. It felt like Alan and his crew were guests at the wedding, and not just some company there to do a job. Alan is very professional, you can tell when working with him that this is something he's passionate about and enjoys doing. And I think that his crew enjoys working with him because of that too. They really understand how important this day is to you and I felt like it was just as important to them as well. We had other vendors that day show up late and not really work with us, but Alan and his team were on it from the very beginning. I really recommend doing their same day edit. I was skeptical at first but my wife really wanted it. Most of your guests will miss the ceremony, so it was a great way to have them all experience the entire wedding and see the parts they missed. This past October, my husband and I were blessed enough to work with Isle Media for our wedding. We were able to book all three services almost a year before our wedding. We were a bit nervous because Isle Media was just an up and coming company. However, we did our research. We saw through their blog that they had tremendous growth over that past year, so we put our faith in their potential. What we saw on the day of our wedding touched our hearts, and we knew that we had put our faith in the right company. Because my husband and I were residing in California during our engagement, it was very important to us that communication be open and strong. Unfortunately, I hate the phone. Alan, Reese, and Zairrah however, were ALWAYS very quick to answer back to my many emails. The company is extremely busy, but we almost always received responses within 24 hours. They were extremely easy to work with. Furthermore, when it came to knowing what we wanted from their services, the entire staff was more than accommodating with both our engagement shoot and our wedding day. They were able to translate our ideas into reality and delivered in ways we couldn't have imagined. They are true artists. Even in the times where we were unsure of what we wanted, we were fully confident in their ability to use their knowledge of who we are and expand on it. We were not disappointed. To this day, we still hear from our guests how amazing our pictures and videos are. It's extremely easy for us to say that we loved their stuff because we were the subjects. But to have others (including some who weren't even invited to the wedding) say that they were amazed (and even cried!) when watching our same day edit, truly is a mark of the type of vision and service that Isle Media can provide. I recommend Isle Media to anyone looking for a close-knit group who is willing to work for your vision. In the year following our initial booking date, we have seen the company grow exponentially in skill (and success). We can only expect to see that continue. Isle Media is a great wedding photography/videography company. They are very accommodating. Only thing is we didn't get the guest interviews as stated on our contract. But then again, we had them doing a lot of extra things that weren't on the contract and they didn't charge us. They were really easy to work with and they made our wedding day much easier. You can trust them to capture your most important day flawlessly. My wife and I both recommend them. Our wedding was May 3. We got our photo album by middle of August. That should give you a rough idea about the time frame. As a side note, we live in San Francisco and had our wedding in Hawaii. Our communication was mostly through email and there were some large lag times, but if it was important/time sensitive, we could always reach them by phone. You will not regret choosing them. Their photographers (especially Reese) and videographers are top notch and the editor, Alan Sangpan is awesome. Our same day edit was wonderful. This is money well spent!!! read more

We haven't received any of our finished products yet, so this review is based on our experience so far with the service. We'll be sure to update our review once we receive our videos! When securing our wedding vendors, videography was something something on our "wish list". We almost didn't have a videographer for our wedding, but we decided late in the planning process that it was worth the investment to have the memories for a lifetime. We initially checked out their website and videos on Vimeo and loved their work. From the very beginning, Alan was such a pleasure to work with. He was incredibly prompt and quick to reply to any email inquiries or questions we had throughout the booking and planning process. This really put us at ease since we were planning a destination wedding. Prices were incredibly fair compared to other companies we researched and there were so many positive reviews on Yelp, we felt confident in our decision to go with Isle Media. The day of our wedding, Romeo and Michael were assigned as our videographers. They were kind, friendly, and professional. They worked quietly and blended into the background like little ninjas capturing our day through their cameras. We coordinated our timeline with Alan and Reese prior to the wedding day, and Romeo and Michael worked really well with our photographer on the day of our wedding to ensure a seamless day, that ran very smoothly. We decided to add on a drone pilot for an hour prior to our wedding ceremony at an alternate location, just so we'd have some variety in our finished product. Hawaii is so beautiful, we figured it would be worth it to capture the beauty from an aerial view. After our wedding, we were connected with James for any questions regarding editing. We provided him with our song selections for both the highlights video and full edit, and now we wait! We're super excited excited to see our videos, especially the drone footage! I love Alan and his team at Isle Media! When my husband and I were searching for videography services for our wedding, we kept two criteria in mind-the final product and the people. For obvious reasons, we wanted to use a company that would showcase our love and wedding day in the best possible way, but we also kept in mind what kind of people we wanted to share our special day with. After all, these vendors capture the most intimate moments of your day from sun up (we had a lunch wedding) to your "thank yous". Back in 2012 when we first came across the Isle media booth at the Wedding expo, it was a relatively new company. Upon viewing some sample same day edits and interview tapes, I knew I loved their style of videography. I was in disbelief that they were offering that high caliber of work for a fraction of what other more well known videographers were charging at that time. I also took an immediate liking to Alan's warm and charming personality and was so impressed that we booked them on the spot! They met both criteria with flying colors! Alan exceeded our expectations in every sense of the word. Always prompt to meetings and quick to respond to texts and/or emails, he's always professional with an "I'm your long lost BFF" kind of warmth and charisma. As a bride, you'd want to feel comfortable around your vendors and Alan does just that. My fiancé and I weren't originally going to hire a videographer, but several months before the big day, we realized we'd probably regret NOT having one in the long run, so we started our hunt. We're SO happy we found Isle Media. We weren't big fans of the traditional wedding video format (you'll notice common patterns after watching a few), and wanted something a bit more unique and organic, while still remaining elegant and classy. We let Alan know this via email, and not only did he and the team accommodate our request, they were excited to take on our challenge, which made us even more eager to see the final product. During our in-person meeting a few days before the wedding, we ironed out all the details and went through more ideas for the general look and feel of our video. Alan was professional, kind, and understood exactly what we were going for. The day of, everything went perfectly. Even if there were hiccups with the timeline, Alan and the team were super flexible and easily adapted to it all. The same-day-edit definitely took the cake. We got married in May at the Halekulani and booked Isle Media for for videography. I would give Alan and his team 10 stars if I could. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. We booked Alan as our videographer a few months out and were so lucky that they weren't already booked on our wedding day. He was super prompt replying to emails even when he was out shooting a documentary in Asia. We met w/ Alan when we traveled back to Hawaii before the wedding. He was super easy to talk to and made us feel at ease answering all our questions. I also gave him a couple of directions for the same-day edit. I asked for minimal mic portions during the video, as well as time lapse and grounds shots until the first lyric. I am super particular about music being a DJ and he was very accommodating and did exactly that. It turned out great. I had the pleasure of working with Alan and his team from Isle Media for my wedding this past July 26th, 2014 at The Kahala Hotel. My friend who recently got married and used Isle Media highly recommended them for videography and makeup. So I looked into it and really liked what I saw. From there, I set up a consultation with Alan and Zairrah (hair/makeup) who were more than accommodating as I currently live in LA now, but decided to have my destination wedding back home in Hawai'i. We had several meetings to review exactly what I wanted and what my vision was. We chose to hire Isle Media because they offered videography & photography as a package. Versus other companies in which they offered one or the other. We were on a pretty tight budget... Isle Media's prices for their packages were exactly what we were looking for. The package we chose included: same-day-edit, engagement/love story, videography & photography. Kyle did our engagement/love story. We included our two small fur babies in our video. He worked great with us and our babies. He was very patient and took in a lot of our suggestions. Alan came by during our shoot and brought his drone to capture an aerial view of us walking hand-in-hand with our babies. The day of our wedding... Lester and his crew showed up to our hotel to video and take our pictures while getting dolled up. The best part... They showed up ON TIME!! I had a lot of suggestions that I wanted them to capture before the wedding ceremony and during the reception. I can truthfully say... they did! From start to finish... They were true professionals. This review has been long over due! But getting engaged, planning a wedding, getting pregnant, getting married, giving birth, raising a baby, to just finishing the celebration of our daughter's 1st birthday and all else in between in the last 2 years just flew right by! My husband and I got engaged January 2016 and immediately thereafter we were already planning ahead to get married the following January during our anniversary weekend. I already had Isle Media as my top potential wedding vendors while following them on IG with their impressive videography skills. We attended the bridal expo that same month and got more information from them as well as other vendors for comparison. It was no doubt that our choice was to inquire with Isle media based on the type of photos and videos they produce which are vibrant high quality output. I had set up a meeting with Alan and after going through the criteria and details, we booked them for engagement photos, hair & make up, love story/SDE video, and photo/video wedding day services. Since it was the biggest investment we had to budget for, we were glad to have settle it almost a year in advance. What I liked about Isle Media is that they offer a wide variety of services that could basically cover your whole wedding package needs. A few months later, we scheduled an engagement photo session with Reese to be taken at Waikiki Beach. We did a 2 hour session at various different areas. It was our first professional shoot of us together and as nervous as we were, Reese made us feel comfortable. We got our edits within less than a week and we were happy that it came quick for us to view. Not that Reese isn't a good photographer, it was his style of shooting that didn't fit what we wanted. There was only a handful that my husband and I agreed that we like. I expressed our concerns with Reese and he was kind enough to revisit his photos to see if there was any that was missed that he could edit. I had ask to pay for a reshoot but never got a response so we just dealt with what we had. We wanted to use these photos for our centerpiece display but could only use a few so we had someone else take our photos so we could have more picture options. Then we had our video love shoot with Alan at Kakaako Park and Ala Moana Beach. Now even that was so nerve racking but it was fun. Alan made us feel comfortable and relaxed while he asked us various questions to help tell our story. We didn't get to see the video until the night of our wedding and it was so awesome how that 2 hour session turned into a beautiful 8 minute video of how our love story came about. Alan and the editing team did so well to capture the best parts of us. I'm so happy that we spent added this service to our package. It's one of the best memories to keep forever along with our Same Day Edit that was so amazing! Speaking from experience, 8 hours is NOT enough for a wedding package. In my case, I think I needed 12 hours because I had an afternoon ceremony with a break to an evening reception. But didn't realize that when I had booked the package, I wasn't booking for my whole wedding day of getting ready, ceremony and reception. I ended up paying major overage costs right before the wedding and after the wedding because I wanted them to capture my getting ready part and not miss my gender reveal cake moment. We got an unexpected blessing along the way and found out we were having a baby and decided to throw in a gender reveal during the wedding that we didn't know what we were having. Before the wedding, I filled out the questionnaire they provided to help capture what we wanted for the wedding. I spent hours detailing all the details I wanted to get captured because I knew on the wedding day I wouldn't remember anything as stressed as I was planning a wedding and being pregnant at the same time. Looking back at the photos, there were so many things missed. Like the personalized gifts I gave my bridesmaids and mothers nor did I have pictures with them, photos at our church ceremony, fairytale items displayed at our reception, marquee light setup, our performers, the list went on. Which all were expressed to the whole team in the email, unfortunately I didn't get any response from anyone. But then nothing could get that day back to capture it again. That day went in a blink of an eye. The reason why this gets a 5 star is because of the quality and awesome work that went into our Love Story, SDE and Wedding Video. The video video footage is what really impressed us the most. It was a good highlight of what our wedding day was like and so awesome to have this as our keepsake. The surprise greetings at the end was a nice touch. We weren't too impressed with our wedding pictures since a lot of things weren't captured so having this as our wedding memories makes it worth the price for the cinematography part of our package. Best photographer that I ever had. My husband and I had maternity photos done by Kay and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her! Before I had my maternity pictures taken, I thought I wouldn't be completely satisfied with them. Why? Because of weight I have gained makes me very uncomfortable and hard to see my face/arms/legs this large. Well, Kay proved that I can still look beautiful and glamourous during pregnancy. I was BLOWN AWAY when I saw the photos. She is truly talented and her vision is amazing, you can trust her. I was a little nervous to take bare belly shots, but she made me feel so comfortable, and relaxed. I never once felt awkward. She worked really well with both me and my husband. She was really professional, but without being stuffy. Sometimes other photographers make you pose in the most awkward positions, but she has a way of really getting natural and artistic photos and you hardly even realize you are posing. TOTALLY EPIC!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! When Lisa and I attended the Wedding Cafe seminars, the single biggest regret that brides had on their wedding day was not splurging for Videography. Initially, we didn't like the concept of being filmed, and thought the memories we created in our minds would have more than enough meaning and fulfillment. Phewf! My initial videographer who I had booked about 5 months in advance, gave me 2 weeks notice that he was not able to do my wedding anymore. After enquiring with Alan at Isle Media, he swooped in and saved the day to ensure that I had someone experienced and talented to cover my wedding - even on such short notice! Ezra and his assistant videographer did an amazing job at our wedding. They were professional, knew exactly what they were doing, had great suggestions for poses/shots and we were all very comfortable around him. Our wedding was March 23, 2016. We had a great time working with Alan, Reese, Zairrah, and the rest of the team from Isle Media. We were planning a destination wedding in Hawaii, as we live in New York and our friends and family would be coming in from all over the world. After reading reviews and gathering recommendations, we reached out to Isle Media via email and discussed all the things that we had in mind. Since we didn't get a chance to vendor-shop in person, we were hoping to bundle a lot of services with one company, and fortunately Isle Media offers just that. We ended up booking Isle Media for our photography and videography, and hair and makeup for myself and my bridal party. After the wedding, we got a few teaser photos pretty quickly after, the highlight reel and the whole video less than a month after, and then less than 3 months after the wedding, we got the entire collection of photos. The photographers on our wedding day were so fun to work with, capturing our silliness and fun and not making us pose for awkward or unnatural shots. Yes, some were posed, but we felt like they were all reflective of our personalities. We also let them have creative license with some shots and they ended up turning out to be some of our faves. They were able to capture a lot of our DYI touches and even spread the word to some of their peers about the app my husband made for our wedding, Modern Planit. Working with Zairrah and her assistant for hair/makeup was lovely. I was able to squeeze in a hair/makeup trial during one planning trip we made to the island, and we were able to replicate that successfully months later. All of my ladies looked wonderful, in makeup and hair-dos that perfectly fit their personal style. I was afraid that my youthful fun mom would be done up with a matronly, conservative do, but they styled her hair and makeup perfectly. She looked radiant! It's always hard parting with a pile of cash for each vendor during planning, but the Isle Media team is worth every penny. Isle Media knows how to entirely capture and encapsulate one of life's most important milestones. On top of that, having them cover our wedding was like getting my closest friends do it, only they'd magically learned how to shoot video and photos with incredible detail and quality. When I first met Reese (lead photography) and Kyle (lead videography) and their team, I felt like I already knew them. They hung out with me and the groom's men while we got ready, ironed shirts, etc. It was like they were already part of the group, but it was also like they weren't even there at the same time. I felt no pressure to change anything about what I was doing or how I normally would have acted. When they needed something, they asked, when they didn't, they were off filming whatever they thought was important, which isn't always the people. This ends up being extremely important stuff that you don't even think about. They record anything that they think might possibly bring back an important, wonderful memory and you don't realize it until you see the finished product. They really know what they are doing. Most other places probably focus too much on the people, which is good, but also bad because then you miss the little things, like that bunch of flower petals that happened to form a heart, (which happened and I saw it and thought how great it was and then it turns up in the final product) amazing attention to detail and to what people might find important or enjoyable! It was truly a fun, relaxing, and fantastic experience and they were so professional and friendly. Trust them to do their thing and you'll get all you could ask for and more! I helped book Isle Media for my friends wedding last week and we had an incredible experience! Alan and his team did such an amazing job. Everything was pretty chaotic the morning of the wedding but once Alan showed up, he brought such a sense of calm and professionalism that it helped make the day go by so smoothly. Alan and his team greatly outdid my expectations! The videos that they created captured all of the magic and more on our wedding day. They were so easy to work with and are so creative! We worked with a Honolulu-based planner (we live in Los Angeles) and I was extremely particular with every detail on that day. Where do I begin? I love the Isle Media! That's where we spent the most besides the food, but it was worth every penny! Photo & Video: Lester who was our photographer was the best. He simply made everything easy from our engagement photos to our wedding Day. At one point during our reception party, my grandpa had requested for us to take photos with each table, mind you, I had about 25 tables. It was so brutal because we were so hungry. Lol! There were a quiet a few guests standing in a separate line to take photos with us... I had mentioned to Lester if he could let them know to wait until their table is called to take our photos, he simply did what I asked and the photo taking went quicker. Lester and his staff that night was so friendly. We couldn't ask for better photographers & videographers! Also, our same day edit was so beautiful! I couldn't believe they made it happen with such a small hotel room we had. We also just received our full video, can't wait to have movie night. Makeup: Zarriah & her staff was also amazing. I changed my lipstick color last minute because my bridesmaids had mentioned it was dull, that's OK though. Had no problems there. My hair was beautiful, I loved it! Delayed product delivery, very poor communication. We picked Isle Media mainly because of their lower price point. Videography was an item that we chose not to splurge on. I noticed that most of the good reviews were from couples who got the same-day edit package, which we didn't. We weren't expecting anything spectacular, but the finished products were further proof that you get what you pay for. Our videographer of the day, Ezra, was great to work with and the only redeeming factor of this whole experience. Unfortunately he is no longer with the company. Per the contract, the final product will be provided "generally within 2-4 months after the Event Date". Our wedding was on 3/23/2019. 9/7/19 - Sent email to follow up on progress, no response. 9/9/19 - Reached Samantha (I'm guessing she is the admin/contact person) by phone AND followed up with email, was told she would look into it. No response after that. 9/15/19 - We resorted to direct messaging Ezra on Instagram (at which point he told us he was no longer working at Isle Media, but had contacted Mike at Isle Media for us and gave us Mike's email). We emailed Mike to provide some music preference and sample videos. 9/17/19 - Mike emailed to let us know that the music preference and samples videos were sent to their editor. (Which means they had NOT worked on our videos all this time). 9/18/19 - We received our full wedding day video the very next day, which made us wonder whether it was made in a rush, and the editing work looked rushed too. Our biggest disappointment was with the audio of our vows, it was full of background noise and we could barely hear what we were saying! We were later told that the microphone my husband wore during the ceremony had interference issues. It seemed like they only used the audio captured by the video camera. 9/19/19 - Requested to purchase the raw footage via phone call with Samantha. 9/26/19 - It took us A WEEK to receive the invoice for the raw footage via email. 9/27/19 - Check mailed to Isle Media to purchase raw footage. 10/8/19 - Emailed Samantha to let her know the check should have arrived and asked for a confirmation. 10/9/19 - The check was cashed the next day, but NO response from Samantha. 10/21/19 - TWO WEEKS had gone by after our check was cashed with zero communication from Isle Media. I called Samantha and was told the raw footage should already be in the mail, but if not, it will be mailed to us within the week. As we came to find out, of course it was not already in the mail. 10/24/19 - Received external hard drive in mail. USPS tracking info indicates that it was dropped off by sender on 10/22/19, the day after I called Samantha. I had never imagined that chasing down the wedding videos would be the most painful part of our wedding. I worked with our planner to plan the entire destination wedding from the mainland, and experienced none of the difficulty with any of the other vendors. I understand that schedule can be hectic for those who work in the wedding industry, but that doesn't explain cashing our check and not even taking the time to get back to us for TWO WEEKS. This tells me that you are not just busy, but you don't care. read more

My husband Danny has known Alan Sangpan (owner) for many years and I first met him when we were looking into doing a music video about 2 years ago. We kept in touch and attended both of Isle Media's anniversary parties and saw how beautiful their work was. Both Danny and I agreed that if we ever got married, we would use them. We got engaged in July 2013 and decided to have our wedding the same year in December. I immediately got ahold of Alan to see if they were available, which they were, thank goodness. They were all very nice and made me laugh and feel comfortable. They did a "same day edit" for us and it was probably the highlight of the night! The talent that Isle Media has is one of a kind. The quality of the photography and videos will leave you speechless. I had so many of my guests tell me how awesome the videos were (after the same day edit, they showed my first ever music video, which was a surprise for my husband). I have known Alan for the better part of a decade and I have always admired the drive, determination, heart, "nothing is impossible" and never-cutting-corners attitude he has had in his personal life. This year I was given the opportunity to work with Alan and his staff professionally and it's no surprise that Alan applies the same mentality into his business. I am a Case Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii (BBBSH). BBBSH matches "at-risk" youth one-to-one with a responsible mentor. Though I know first hand how important mentoring is for our children, it's often a difficult concept to explain to others (especially donors) who aren't exposed to it daily like I am. This is as professional and high quality as it gets...if you need excellent photo and video from a very experienced team, these guys are the ones to get it from! There are plenty of established and well-known photography/videography companies available for weddings and special events, but Isle media pretty much sets the standard and more than meets anyone's high expectations. We booked Isle Media for our wedding and they were very courteous during our correspondence when assembling our package and accommodating our needs. They did their best to insure that they could provide us with the best possible services during our special day. In terms of the day of, the crew was very professional, down to earth, and easy to communicate and work with. They also did an excellent job of capturing as much of the event as possible without simultaneously being intrusive or interrupting any important moments (which is generally difficult to do). We, like a lot of couples, went back and forth on whether we needed a videographer for our wedding. But, as soon as we visited Alan's website, we knew his style was perfect for our vision. On the wedding day, Alan and team worked tirelessly to capture every single detail.
