Today was the Second time visiting this office, my daughter was treated here a few months ago and she was happy with the treatment. The waiting room nice and clean with a TV to watch. I was greeted when I came in and waited just a few minutes before I was taken for my treatment. The dentist chair was a bit dated but it didn't matter at all, they made me very comfortable and even placed a small pillow under my neck for much needed support. The doctor was very professional and explained what issues I had and what she will be doing. I have visited many dentists in the past but This was the first time I didn't feel any pain while receiving the shot and during the three fillings she needed to fix. Very unprofessional experience with iSmile Dental. I began my implant process a year ago (November 2024) and confirmed with them that they would do the final step -- placing the crown -- after my oral surgeon finished. They assured me it would be fully covered by insurance since they're in-network, and my insurance confirmed this as well. When the time came to place the crown, iSmile said I'd owe $400 for a "custom" process. My insurance told me that the full crown is covered and that the extra charge was unnecessary. When I called back, iSmile said they wouldn't do my crown because the insurance doesn't pay them "enough." It's unacceptable for an in-network provider to refuse to finish treatment after assuring full coverage. After a year-long process, I'm left with a screw in my mouth and no resolution. I told them they were losing three patients, and the office lady's only response was, "ok." read more

The best dental office. I had two teeth extracted because of a emergency it went extremely smooth. Very pleasant staff and dentist was amazing. The office very clean, was very thorough. I highly recommend. I can't wait to get my teeth cleaned. For a dental office it was a pleasant experience. A definite 5 star experience. read more

I had an appointment for 9am this morning and I arrive on-time at 8:57am. They asked me to fill out the checklist and service consent form due to COVID-19 and took my forehead temperature, which was expected and appreciated that they were doing their due diligence. I'm waiting in the waiting room to be called but it's dead silent in the back and it looked like the dentist wasn't in the office. I was the first patient so I continue to wait and the clock is ticking and wait until 9:30am to ask the receptionist how much longer it'll be before seeing the dentist. Then she says she just received a text message from the dentist that we're going to have to reschedule!! So I said WHAT?! I waited for 30 minutes and she tells me that the dentist isn't here and we need to reschedule only after I initiate the question of when I can be seen? I, "I" (typically shouldn't the office call to confirm???), called yesterday to confirm our 9am appointment which they confirmed. Sure~ someone will think it's just one off experience and the dentist really had an emergency. But this isn't the first time that I had to wait long. My prior appointment was in February 2020 at 9am again because I work and usually get the earliest appointment possible, and the doctor walked in at least 10 minutes after the appointment time. If they can't be ready to take a patient on-time, then they shouldn't schedule appointments for that time. As much as their time is valuable, so is mine!!! If the patient is late for an appointment, they won't hesitate to threaten you with late/no-show fee and will tell you that you'll have to reschedule so why is it that when the dentist is late, I just have to accept it as is! And the dentist didn't even bother to personally apologize back in February or this morning despite the fact that she called the receptionist while I was right there! As for their service, I had cleaning and filling done before and they were average service. They asked if I wanted to reschedule for next Monday and I didn't. I don't know if I'll return! Maybe I'll give them another shot! If I do go back at all and for another 9am appointment, I'll update my experience. And I'll be sure to post this same review elsewhere so people looking into this dentist will know not to make 9am appointments!! read more

One time the dentist didn't even clean my teeth and did a check up only, billed my insurance as a cleaning and I wasn't able to get one for a year. Also the hygienist doesn't do any suction. I had to frantically wave my arms (to spit it out) because i couldn't breathe there was so much water in my mouth! Then another time the cleaning involved spraying my entire face with water the entire cleaning ( needed constant dabbing on the neck) and it was spraying my eyes under the sunglasses they gave me for the light. The dentist acted like this was a completely normal thing to happen. Cleaning was mediocre but at least they cleaned some of it this time. Also The other dentist from 6 months ago is now gone. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Chang. I went to her for a second opinion and ended up choosing her to be my primary dentist over a dental group I had been using for twenty years. She is very professional, thorough and meticulous. She takes her time and does her job perfectly. I recently had a crown installed and I am quite pleased with the work that was done. Her staff is great. Jason is an excellent hygienist. He gives a very thorough cleaning. I highly recommend that you request him for your cleaning. The ladies at the front desk and Ms. Chang's assistants are all very pleasant. I'm very happy to have found iSmile. read more

Probably one of the best options for the Medicaid holders. When I left my job and went back to school for 6 months, I was on Medicaid and I discovered that most dentists listed are not that great, with not so friendly staff and old and unattractive office space. Going to the dentist is something most people hate anyway, and facing cold and nasty attitude is the last thing you want to aggravate the unwanted experience. However, at Dr.Chang's office I was greeted by friendly staff , they were polite and professional. When I needed an appointment at the last minute, the staff was accommodating and booked me on the same day in the afternoon which saved me time. The office space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, which is a good sign. Dr. Chang did not disappoint, she took care of my cavities painlessly and fast. Based on the hanging diploma on the wall, I learned that she is a Columbia University grad, which gave me more confidence in her. I wish Dr.Chang the best with her practice! read more

With flu season, omircorn as well as covid still going around. This office has the audacity, to still charge patients a cancelation fee of $40. This is absolutely disgusting, they should be ashamed of themselves. Regardless, if its in the policy or not. They should also be much aware that things happen. Leaving individuals unaware as well as unprepared. To REMEMBERING all policy's, especially when one has only ever been there one time prior. When one mentioned they'd come in, they were told no, you are sick; stay home. But your going to charge me $40 anyway? I don't understand it seems like they are hurting for money. While doing anything to get it! The receptionist was so rude, I wasn't even allowed to make a follow up appointment. I wind up having a 102 fever. Which as soon as I woke up I immediately called the establishment to let them know. Individuals need to be a little bit more understanding. Especially with all thats been going on! read more

I'm going to be honest and say I was happy with this place until the 3rd visit. I have no idea what happened or why the sudden change in patient service. My second visit was on Monday third visit on a Friday. I found it strange that every time I went in she could never ever complete something it was always "NEXT TIME" at the end of this visit she made it clear what the next visit was for. I'm in for the next visit before she begins work we talk about what she will be doing I ask her your working on the bottom too she said yes. She does the top and wraps up the visit I said wait your not doing the bottom she said no next time I asked why she couldn't do it now she it was too much and she had another patient Wait so am I not a patient who made an appointment and came in time? She left and started working on her next patient Her assistant said they weren't going to do it because it was late in the day, she didn't realize the time and they had a lot of walking that day Uh I'm sorry but non of these reasons sound like it's my problem At this point i was disgusted and upset at the level of unprofessional-ism And to top it off i asked if this is the way they treated their patients she said no but you have the choice if you want to keep coming here or not Apparently she didn't understand that without the patient she had no job Nothing was done and I was asked to leave This is the way they drain your insurance I've read and heard a lot of stories about how many doctors have their own strategies to keep charging insurance I took the time off work to get this done confirmed with her before and the day of what work will be done so what changed?
