I am very disappointed with my treatment at Palisades dental care. I have been a patient there for about 3 years. I needed dental implants and a bridge. I asked them to email me their "plan" and cost of treatment. It was a considerable amount of money and I had to think about it and discuss it with a family member who is a retired dentist. We had discussed the plan, I went away on vacation, and when I returned I called them to refresh my memory. They not only didn't send me the plan that we had discussed but was going to charge me a consultation fee of $150 to come and discuss it. I've been a patient for 3 years! I asked for Dr. Kryzmen to call me . She never did. My sense is that they are are more interested in extracting money than extracting teeth. It's too bad, I thought they were nice people. This place is super unprofessional. They canceled my appointment on the same day, just hours before my appointment (after I confirmed it numerous times) with no reasoning. I gave them another try and rescheduled. They called to confirm my appointment while I was in a work call, I called back 3 minutes later once my call ended and they advised they canceled due to lack of confirmation. They don't even have proper office etiquette or any customer service to allow the patient the opportunity to confirm an appointment. Don't even waste your time, your appointment will get canceled anyways. read more

Palisade Dental moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Dumont. Huge reception/waiting area, multiple self-sufficient patient rooms, equipped with TVs in the ceiling. The staff are, as usual, awesome, trying their best to provide first class service, despite the hurdles caused by the pandemic. I have been visiting PDC for three years now. I have always had a great experience here, the hygienist and dentist are really nice, detailed, and informative. I get excellent deep cleaning and dental checkup. The new facility is bright, modern, clean, organized, equipments are new and modern. The receptionists are also very friendly and helpful. It's very easy to make a future appointment and manage all financial dealings. As your appointment approaches, there are several reminders sent via email and texts. You can re-confirm the appointment via either. The COVID survey is also online, and can be filled ahead of arrival at the facility. The staff in this practice are obviously not about money. Each person who works with the practice cares about the clie nt. This is not the case in all practices in which one is made to feel guilty for not being able to afford a procedure. KIndness reigns here. The work is done painlessly and the hygienist and dentist is concerned with the comfort of he/she sitting in the dental chair. I think I found my new dentist! From the attentive staff to the clean, contemporary facility with state of the art equipment - I really felt taken care of. Doctor Kryzman and her team were great and cared to my needs and I must say they were super gentle and made sure I was comfortable at all time. I have a lot of trauma from dental work but I really felt comfortable. Did I mention their tech is really advanced? So long stuffing your face with the gunky putty to create a mold of your teeth - they have a super neat lazer that does it instantly. I love this place and I highly recommend it! We've been coming to this place for about 2 years now. I remember the first time we came was for my daughter's lacerated gum and cracked front teeth that she had sustained after she fell onto the floor. We found this place through Zocdoc.com that accepts dental insurance from 1199 SEIU. When we first stepped in, the staff, especially Kathy Gatmaitan at front desk was very welcoming and made my daughter had a fun and comforting experience. My daughter was not scared during the care provided (which she normally does) and they give some goodies for the kids after the visit. They are knowledgeable on what they do and give great feedback on how to properly take care of your child's teeth. So, thanks Palisade Dental Care for the great experience! I think we will keep this place as our daughter's go to dental care until she gets older. read more

Avoid, avoid, avoid. I started coming here for cleanings since they are covered under my husband's insurance. However, every time I am there, I get a hard sell for other services by the hygienist. It is my understanding that the hygienist's pay is incentive based, which would make sense. In the past, I was told I absolutely needed procedures including a scaling ($375), which I received. I also had a root canal and crown done here which took HOURS. You are examined, told what you need, then the manager comes over, explains how much it costs, and they will not treat you until you pay the full amount. Cringey but not illegal. I had an appointment on 3/28/2019 for a cleaning. During the cleaning, the hygienist said I needed two fillings replaced and my bottom tooth needed to be examined. Dr. Kyrzman examined me and ordered an x-ray. She then pointed out a gray circle at the root of a tooth (that had a root canal and crown by a different dentist) She said this was decay and I needed a three stage surgery, an extraction, bone graft, implant and crown for a total of $4,690.00. I was not allowed to schedule unless I left a $500 deposit. They wanted to schedule me immediately, I delayed for 4/22/2019. I made an appointment with my dentist that I trust, but unfortunately does not take my insurance, for a second opinion. The first thing he asked was how much pain I was in, which is none. He looked confused. He said if I needed this work I would likely be unable to chew. He then asked if they took an x-ray. He asked if they showed me a gray circle at the bottom of the roots, I said yes. He explained, this is scar tissue from the original root canal. He examined me and determined that I didn't need any of those procedures. Not a single one. I was upset because this meant that either they couldn't properly read the x-ray or they were willing to perform almost 5K in unnecessary surgery for the revenue. I called immediately and told them I had a family matter and would need to cancel and would like my $500 back. They said it wasn't a problem and I could come by and pick up the check. When I got there, the hygienist opened the door and asked why I was there, I explained and she slammed the door in my face. The office manager came out and said they'd prefer to just keep the deposit for when I reschedule. I explained again that I wasn't rescheduling and would like my deposit back. She said it "wasn't ready" and I would have to wait. I explained I would have all day and would gladly wait. Finally she wrote me a check which I deposited immediately. I would never ever go back here, stay away or at least get a second opinion. I can only assume that I haven't needed any of the procedures I paid for here, as I trusted a medical provider to "do no harm". I cannot believe that I almost spent all that money and went through pain unnecessarily. Shame on them. read more
