I managed to knock out my own front tooth days before big, upcoming public events. I needed a "flipper" by the end of Friday. I called around on a Tuesday to places offering 24 hr turnaround/same day service for emergencies, etc. Washington Dental was the only one who could do it; before committing the timing to me, they checked with the lab first and said my flipper would be ready 4:00 Friday. I picked it up, fit perfect, made my Saturday events and an out of town work trip with a full smile. This place is a SCAM. Please do not trust them with your teeth. I started going here as a child where they did several fillings on me. I now question whether these were ever necessary. Later as an adult they did several root canals on me which were done poorly and have now cost me several teeth. Less than one star. Worst expensive ever. I've been in pain since yesterday in my lower right side. Felt super judged by whoever the female dentist was. I have bad teeth due to genetics and she made me feel super uncomfortable. She said I needed an extraction, which okay, I expected. But I said I would need to do it next week as I wasn't financially prepared. So she said she would give me a painkiller til then. Go to the front to schedule where I'm told that in order to get the script I have to pay for half the extraction appointment today. They are not willing to work with people and don't care about leaving their patients in pain. They only care about the money. Stay far away. read more

The friendliest staff in the entire universe. I'm not kidding. Everyone here is so helpful, polite, and even financially accommodating. The office is clean and welcoming with ample parking. Both times I've been to this location, I've had a wonderful experience. My teeth look and feel amazing after each cleaning and they've been sure to immediately address any pain/discomfort I felt while there. I can't say enough good things about this practice. This place is the closest thing to a scam as it comes for dentistry. They charge massively inflated fees for their service backed by the constant usage of "My Pleasure". It's literally a bait and switch tactic. To add insult to injury they ask you all these questions such as "What is most important to you". I reply "budget". They then charge a $100 consulting fee, have a dentist come into the room to look at my X ray to tell me I have a bad cavity (a 4 year old could have made that diagnosis) and recommend a $4000 root canal. LOL, yeah totally! Here is 4K . Now I settle of an extraction of which they charge $450 but lucky me it's $350 Bc of the consulting fee they use against the treatment. Well I won't even get into how lucky I was their dentist wasn't skilled enough to do the extraction and wanted a surgeon to do it who is there once every other week? One day? Anyways the moral here is, I found Dean Dental in Tenafly nicest most knowledgeable guy I've ever had as a dentist had my tooth out within the hour and a cleaning for less than half the price. Just don't go here, don't be fooled by the my pleasures and the niceties because it's there to make you overpay for bad service and manipulated pricing. This is the best dental office I have ever visited. I like the fact that they have their mission, vision and philosophy posted for all the see. The environment was very comfortable, clean and the staff was very friendly. The hygienist was amazing! Great knowledge of teeth and advice for keeping mine clean. The doctor waa very thorough and took his time while doing my exam as a new patient. Although, I wanted to sleep in on a Saturday morning this was the great start to my Saturday errands. Best dentist I've ever been too. Even brought my boyfriend along with me where he stayed in the waiting room and also said he loved this place! I started my visit with Brandon who signed me in with a pleasant smile. Then Steve took me in for X-rays. When I told him I might take a nap while waiting he offered me a pillow and a blanket Jaja! Then dr. Munoz reviewed the xrays and informed me about why I'm feeling pain. And finally Jessica the hygienist made me feel super comfy as I always feel tense going to the dentist. I had fillings done with Dr Tong. I didn't need any numbing. He was gentle and diligent. I have seen Dr G for my exam when I had my cleaning. I was very happy with her also. She wasn't available when I came for my fillings. The office has a number of Drs and hygienists on staff so they are flexible for scheduling. Every one there is really thorough. Washington Dental is the nicest dental office I've been to thus far! They have open operatives but at the same time private. Love the curtains idea. Each visit is so pleasant from walking in to getting your work done with the Doctor and their assistant. I also love that they are kid friendly. All of the staff members accomodate to your needs whether you are fearful or mainly looking for aesthetics. They are experts at perfecting your smile and wont stop until you're completely satisfied. My 3 year old loves coming back for prizes and a balloon of his color choice. Not only did he enjoy his 1st visit he now loves to brush his teeth and with him it used to be a battle.
