In the past, I have used Eleos but they were booked solid for the next few days, so I did an online search for someone local. I found Jana Josel. Gave her a call. She seemed rather annoyed to have my business at first (should have been a clue) but my mind was someplace else. She was coming at 7. Prepared a great day with Kelly. Had a long car ride. She ate a glazed donut. Made her a t bone steak. A bit before 7 we get a call that it will now be closer to 8. Jana came a bit after 8. She was a bit unfriendly and seemed like she was in a rush. I started to ask her questions about her own animals as I was in disbelief that she actually had any. She starts removing all sorts of containers from her napsak and told us she was going to inject Kelly with a sedative. First shot wasn't enough. Waited 20 minutes and she gave her another Still not enough and gave her another. At this point Kelly's head is moving back and forth uncontrollably and it's does this for the next 30 minutes. Jana has no explanation for it and then tries to give her something else. Shaves 3 out of 4 legs to find a vein. My poor girl is now convulsing back and fourth an bleeding from every stick of the needle and it's dripping down her legs( Jana never got into her vein) My husband, who complains about nothing, had his hand balled up in a fist (I thought he was going to clock her) eventually started questioning at this moron and why it's going this way Without remorse, sympathy, blame, anything Jana packs up her stuff and tells us to go to the hospital to have it done. She can't. To make matters worse, Kelly slowly snaps out of the sedative on the way to Oradell and we now are doing what we never wanted to do. Put her down in a hospital. Within a second, the staff there has a needle in and they let our girl go over the rainbow bridge. This is the stuff lawsuits are made of folks.....

She has given my pup, Roo, a new lease on life and I truly cannot recommend her enough. Short story - Roo is the absolute sweetest girl - if every dog was like Roo, everyone would have a dog. She has unfortunately been through it with her left hind leg - from a spunky adventurous pup to 2 back-to-back surgeries at the age of 2 and 8 weeks of 2x/week rehab in between each - she went from seemingly "healed" to bouts of lameness followed by (1/2023) a completely atrophied left hind leg with flare ups and "zingers" leaving her limping and in pain. Specialty doctors, a joint tap, an ultrasound, and xrays provided no answers. I knew something wasn't right and I was determined to get to the root cause and have her happy, painfree, and back to her spunky self. We were living in San Diego and the closest facility was 45min away - we drove there 2x/week for Roo to do hydrotherapy, some improvements began again. We moved to CT in June and I immediately reached out to Jane, 2x/week for the past 3 months and my Roo girl is back to health. It's all been sort of a pinch me moment - Jane has single handedly given Roo her life back - we go on long adventures daily, she sprints after bunnies, romps with other dogs, and even got zoomies a few weeks ago for the first time in a long time. While Roo's second year of life was unfairly spent recovering from 2 surgeries, at 4.5 years old, we're now getting those adventures in, plus some. Knock on wood, but Roo hasn't limped or had a "zinger" since she started treatment with Jane. Roo's shoulder and back trigger points have resolved, she's increased muscle mass in her atrophied left leg, her wrist crepitus has partially resolved. I am truly grateful for Jane every day and safe to say that Roo is too.

Recently we started sending our pup to daycare periodically when we are both working. To say the least she LOVES going and cries of excitement every time we get there. Arturo and staff are so kind to her as well. I love having daycare and the vet in one place and the facilities are very nice. We haven't sent our cat to this vet before, as we used someone else prior to getting the dog, but would love to switch her as well. The location is convenient and the service is great. Ours was not an emergency visit; we drove here from Connecticut to have our kitty neutered. We were treated with great courtesy and efficiency. The surgery was completed quickly (and priced reasonably), and we were notified immediately. When we picked up kitty we were given complete instructions, verbal and written, for her care. The next day they followed up with an inquiry about kitty's condition and inviting us to call them with any concerns. We were very impressed with all of this. The Roosevelt Center is an hour away from us, but for this kind of care and caring, we'll return. A terrific operation, and we are grateful in every way.

The neighbor suggested Brewster Vet. It was nearly 4PM and I called their office in a panic. The receptionist walked me through how to pick up my cat without causing further injury and in the fifteen minutes it took to get to the office, they were waiting for me with the room prepped. The kitty nurse, the veterinarian, the administrative staff...everyone was instrumental in saving the cat's life. They took her in, didn't ask for a crazy deposit, and immediately tended her injuries. Well, her jaw was broken in a few places. I won't bore you with the details, but over the next six weeks, they let me visit her with my son while she recovered, and taught me how to care for her so she could spend more time at home. We had many hiccups, and at one point, I thought it was time to euthanize her. Dr. Wilson wanted to try one more thing, and with his encouragement, we did it, and two months after her injury her feeding tube was removed. I know the staff and vet could have charged a LOT more, and they were so patient and caring. My cat went from a totally aloof little critter to the ultimate snuggle bunny after this. The attention given to her at the vet's office while she was hurt and scared made her better than ever.

I love my vet in Sone Cottage but recently it's hard to get an appointment with him, so I decided to try another vet. Well the vet and the receptionist in this office are still with the issue of Covid. I don't mind wearing a mask, but I'm not giving you my dog for you to take in the building without me! First lets sit down, talk about my dogs history and being a new patient let me get a feel about you as a doctor. This man came out of the building asking two or three questions in the parking lot, when I didn't want to give him the dog, he asked me to get leave. What kind of doctor does that? I traveled 25 min just to get there, I would never give him my dog not knowing what he's going to do! Never, have I encounter such a rude and uncaring doctor, if that's what he was, never introduced himself!

Caroline and Fred tried to use bully tactics to get me into purchasing one of their dogs who clearly wasn't well, and would undoubtedly cost me and arm and a leg in vet fees to look after. I was appalled at their approach, and definitely would not recommend them to any prospective breeder.
