Simple venue with live musicians. All the meats were tender & tasty. The hummus was great. Loved the unlimited pita bread. Beef mousakka was basically meatloaf with Turkish seasoning, it melts in your mouth & tasty but was NOT hot spicy. Portions are pretty generous, but service slow. Took 30-40 minutes to get our food AFTER ordering.

Stopped by for a late lunch today with my mother. We visit the Fort Worth location frequently but didn't know there was an Arlington location. I had the Chef's special beef cabbage rolls. Delicious! Also had babaganoush and cigarette borek for appetizers. Also delicious.

I have been coming here for years and have never written a review. My daughter and I came for dinner so I remember to take pictures so I can finally write one. This is by far one of my most favorite restaurants. Everything I have ever eaten here has been delicious. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. I've never had bad service here. They are amazing whether you are dining in or picking it up. The restaurant itself has a quaint but elegant vibe. Get here fast if you haven't been!

My bestie invited me to this place in Arlington, not my usual town to dine, but I like trying new places. She had been to their downtown location and insisted I would love it! It's a quaint place in a little strip mall. Very clean and beautiful decor. Our server was very polite, super nice and gave us plenty of suggestions when we asked for them. WE began with the cold appetizer - with hummus and all kinds of good treats - try it. After that we split a delicious Greek salad. I ordered a lamb kabob. It was good, but I was so full I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites by the time I got to it! They had some lovely live music - an acoustic guitar - very nice. We spoke to the artist on our way out around 9pm. He was very pleasant. Stop in here, you won't be disappointed.

Pretty great food. And the prices are amazing as well. Entre, appetizer, and a drink for like $18 I definitely recommend stopping by for some traditional and good quality food. The skewered beef and lamb is awesome!

While in Arlington went to lunch with some friends. What a lovely treat we brought a couple bottles of yummy white wine as BYOB. We started with a cold appetizer sampler and for the table mixed grill for 2 and the whole fish. The food was delicious, flavorful and fresh. Great server. The fish was my favorite moist and flaky came with a lite vinaigrette salad and rice simply delicious. Mixed grill was also very good with warm naan. Cute decor. Was like being in a local Turkish kitchen.

Cute place for a date night or meeting with friends. The menu is pretty straightforward which I appreciate. We were served pita bread and tzatziki sauce which was nice to enjoy while waiting for our meal. Landed on the Lamb Kebab which was a bit tough for me. I asked for medium and it came out well done. The rice was a bit underwhelming that came with the dish. Tasted like instant rice. I was hoping to get jasmine or basmati rice instead. After the meal, I decided to indulge with baklava and a Turkish coffee. Both were a win for me! Not sure if I'd come back here unfortunately.

We have been to this place in the past. Most recently, we went for lunch. They have a wonderful lunch special. It comes with an appetizer, an entree, and a drink. We started with Babaganoush and Hummus. It had slightly different taste than some of the Lebanese places in town. It was delicious. We then had the Turkish Meatballs and Beef Kabob. The service was prompt even though they were busy. The atmosphere was a little more upscale than fast casual. The food was delicious. Try the lunch special if you want to dip your feet in before jumping in. We will come back again.

Huge portions of delicious food. I come regularly with my family and always get the lunch special, including a drink, appetizer, and entree for $14.95 total. I always get water, hummus, and gyro. Love this restaurant!

We like to stop here when we can for lunch since it's not too far from the office. The lunch special comes with an appetizer and an entree as well as a drink. I wanted to try the coffee and it wasn't part of the special but I'm glad i decided to get it. The coffee was similar to an espresso shot and It had great flavor. I started w the lentil soup this time and it was very good. My entree was chicken delight and it was a large portion that came w rice. I could have shared it based on portion size. The restaurant is super clean as well as the bathrooms and the service is always good. Will be back for lunch soon.

We got a dip sampler and 2 chicken dishes with fresh pita!

    Is this halal?

The lamb and chicken is halal. The beef is NOT.

Are there good vegan options? We'd be coming with both omnivores and a vegan?

I know they have vegetarian options, but i'm not 100% sure they have vegan options.

Do you typically need to make a reservation on a weeknight? And any helpful info on their BYOB process/corkage fee?

Hello Emily Weeknight is fine you don’t need to make reservations. Restaurant is BYOB AND NO CHARGE.

This place does Turkish food justice and has so much cultural charm with the decor and warm, cozy atmosphere. We started off with the complimentary bread, which was fresh and warm. I do wish that it came with an oil dip, but it was nice to have with my meal. For my entree, I ordered the lamb gyro and absolutely loved it. I sometimes find an issue that dishes at Turkish/Middle Eastern restaurants can be salty, but it wasn't here! The salad it came with did have a bit too much pepper for my liking, but the tomatoes were incredibly juicy. Overall, the meal was delicious and light. The staff was kind and attentive, but we were also the only customers there on a late Tuesday afternoon. There's a dedicated parking lot for Flying Carpet, which is a huge plus especially for it being on Magnolia avenue. Overall, I greatly enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back!

The food is phenomenal, they have a family combo for four that is perfect for a family of 4-6 people, the portions are so large we always have leftovers. Amazing baklava, hummus and baba ganoush. We were greeted and seated right away. Service throughout was warm and attentive, our server checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. They started us with warm, crispy bread and a yogurt-based dip that was quite flavorful. I ordered the lamb shish kebab platter (well done), and we also tried the chicken shish kebab platter. Both came with buttery rice, a fresh salad drizzled with olive oil, and yogurt sauce. The chicken was tender and properly seasoned, but the lamb was the highlight. Lamb can easily turn dry or overly gamey if not handled right, but this was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor even when cooked well done, exactly how a good shish kebab should be. I skipped dessert this time, though they offer a few options, and I noticed what appeared to be a buffet setup, which I'm curious to try next. Overall, a solid, well executed Mediterranean meal. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
