So I came across IStar through Yelp. I received a prompt response with a quote from Anna. I initially wanted a 70 inch TV mounted to my bedroom wall as I upgraded my Living room TV. Because of scheduling conflicts, I had to make an appointment about 2 weeks later. A week prior to my appointment, I found out that my new TV for my living room had VESA mount points that were much higher than the previous TV so having that unit sit in it's current place against the wall mount would not work (it was way too low). I text messaged Anna and asked for a quote to re-position the living room mount and adjust the new TV. She did give me a price that was reasonable. On the day we were set to have the services performed, Anna did call me to inform me the tech was on the way. There was a discrepancy in the quote she provided which she confirmed with the tech. This was relayed to me the same day. After some clarification, we both agreed on a cost that was fair. Daniel was our tech and he arrived with a mask and was courteous. He worked very quickly and efficiently. He informed me of some serious mounting issues with the previous work done on my Living Room mount. He showed me the error and also explained thoroughly how he corrected that concern on the remount. I was very happy with the overall service. Daniel worked very fast and cleaned up after himself. He helped my husband move furniture since one of the dressers was to heavy for me. Most of our items were new out of the box, he opened everything and was pretty familiar with the type of wall mount we purchased. Clean wall cuts and mounting, offered to vacuum too. Great price as well about $50 per wall to insert wires and for our 77 inch $130 and 65 inch $109 to mount. We would recommend them again. read more

I sent out a barrage of emails out late last night/early this morning soliciting quotes to have my TV mounted above a fireplace in my apartment. I had the mounting kit already, just needed the muscle to come out and bravely drill holes into the right places. Danil was quick to respond to my email with a reasonable quote and was able to come out later that SAME DAY! He came with all the tools necessary to complete the job and was nice enough to install my soundbar mounting bracket while he was at it. The end result is beautiful, my TV and soundbar are magically floating (with help of some sturdy steel bolted into wooden studs) above my fireplace as I wished! The only reason I am downgrading from a 5-star to a 4-star review is: AFTER Danil started drilling, he informed me that the height I wanted to install the TV at would not support the weight of the TV and that we'd have to move it to where it could attach to a stud. That is perfectly fine by me but I wish we could have discussed that before he drilled the other holes in the wall. The whole reason I called in a pro for this job was the fact I wanted to put my best effort into retaining my deposit when I leave by leaving the least amount of damage as possible. Otherwise, I have no complaints about the services rendered by IStar and would still recommend them to someone in need, I'd just remind to check twice before drilling. read more

So we used them a couple weeks ago he mounted the TV didn't hide any wires. Didn't really do a good job charged me 120 dollars. I then called back and said please come back and hide the cords they said it's not possible I even had someone from maintence let him know it's possible. After that I decide to call them to give them another chance to remedy the problem. I told them if you can hide the wires there let's move the TV to a place where you can hide them. They stopped answering my calls and text. Now I have to hire someone else and pay them another 120 dollars to hide the wires which should have been done In the first place. read more
