John did a wonderful job with my tech upgrade. He installed a mesh WiFi system and a surround system in my house which with great quality and at a reasonable price. The mesh WiFi greatly enhanced our experience - my wife and I both work from home, stream video and have a teen who is always gaming. All this with no buffering! John also installed a surround system. He was great consulting on the equipment, understood my budget, and installed two in-wall speakers and two in-ceiling speakers. Of the 5 companies I called for an estimate on connectivity issues with our TV and cell phone receptions, Surprise Tech Guy was the only one who came out to inspect our home and get clarification on what exactly what we wanted done prior to giving us a bid. All other companies gave us estimates plus hourly charges if the work required additional time and materials. The other companies said they could use Zillow to look at our house. Surprise Teach Guy was competitive on pricing, arrived at the appointed time, and patiently listened to our connectivity issues and explained how he could resolve them. His solutions vastly improved our receptions, and he was intentional to clean up any dust or drywall left after his work. He is personable, polite, on time, and backs up his work. We would certainly use him again for any "tech" issues we might incur in the future. read more

Reply to second owner comment: It's simple, I have nothing to gain from these replies except my public integrity which I will defend with truthfulness. I only asked via the BBB for you to return and finish the job, but you chose instead to reply to my review. You have every reason to lie. That's what people should get from my reviews. So.... "You have pictures of your Wyyerd router when you explicitly stated that you were going to return this router and use the existing router that you already owned (I believe it was branded TP Link)" Another lie. Again... I supplied you with ALL of my tech, the router and the modem setup FROM MY FIBER INTERNET COMPANY, and all wires and setup for a tech box. As I stated before, you could have notified me prior to installing that they would not all fit so that we could come up with a different plan for install but you DID NOT. You waited until it was already installed and did not fit before showing me and expecting me to accept it. After all of this, instead of asking you to fix it so that the door could close and everything would be secured nicely, I told you to forget it because if need be I could place a different router that fit. I was trying to be nice because it was NYE. That offer didn't erase the behavior I described. A professional would recognize the problem and discuss with the customer BEFORE halfway completing it. "Furthermore, your picture with the "new installation" shows the same CAT 6 weatherproof cable that I had installed for exterior duty. It also shows the components installed crooked and dangling; however, this was done by another paid professional? Hmmm..." Unreal. Your modem install using VELCRO instead of clips resulted in the modem falling out and I had to place it on the table. THAT WAS YOU! Yes, another professional came after you. I needed the original internal installation actually done and he did that AND fixed the fiber install. Keep in mind, your actions cost me even more money because you broke down the correct configuration of the fiber modem, and left over 2 feet of exposed fiber in the wall and in the tech box. Are you going to deny that as well? "You also stated that the new professional "had to crawl into a tight attic space to do it, but did so nonetheless in under an hour and stated that it was a typical install." But a typical install for an internal drop on an exterior wall on your type of home, necessitates a drywall cut out, because the roof creates an angle too acute to fit a drill from the attic. It doesn't necessarily require one to crawl to a tight space." You can keep lying about the original order for install all you want. I did not order an install on an "exterior wall". I ordered an install IN TWO ROOMS! (your own text confirmation states two rooms) You did what you did despite our discussion and agreement! HE provided the internally installed cat6 AS ORDERED and you DID NOT. I supplied all of the text messages. And there were no discussions over the phone of any confirmed dates other than NYE. I NEVER cancelled an appointment! The way you keep digging in and lying is disgusting. I have misstated nothing. YOU DID NOT DO THE JOB AS AGREED AND YOU KNOW IT. read more

Well where do I start with this review Do not make many 5 star reviews but this one is very well deserved We purchased a high end 65 Samsung Tv to replace our old and dated flat screen Contacted (John) the Tech Dude and BAM arrived within 4 hours of initial contact at exact time scheduled John was very effective and efficient with consideration to all aspects to the installation, customer orientation and job cleanup He had to run and get some additional parts NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE Installed our existing Soundbar and added a digital bridge adapter We had issues with it that night and called him about it and next morning he was back at house NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE Day 2 we purchased a new Samsung Soundbar with optical integration John arrived again with 3 hours and installed it for us NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE It is rare to find such a customer centric business owner,But there are a FEW out there Would highly recommend John and his services Did I mention this was on a Holiday Weekend to boot! read more
