Your unit will not be secure and will get broken Into and property squandered and MANAGEMENT will claim no knowledge or responsibility. STAY AWAY . This place is a SCAM. Rent at your own risk!!! | rented a unit for my daughter, who was going through a bad divorce. She put all of the belongings she had in the world in this unit. Her children and her life's belongings - everything she had to her name except their clothes went into this unit. After paying on this unit for 11 months (auto drafted out of my account PLUS rental insurance purchased through the storage company), someone emptied her unit. We did not find this out until she went to retrieve something from the unit a month later. The office had noticed it empty in October but never bothered to notify us, and therefore I was paying on a unit that was emptied out and RE-RENTED to someone else. The storage company also said there is no "24-hour surveillance" to show who might have entered the property to burglarize the unit. Their website makes false claims of having such surveillance. The insurance coverage should have covered up to $2,000, but it is a SCAM. They won't cover theft...only burglary - if you can prove forced entry. No, a missing lock and an empty unit does not constitute "burglary" as far as their policy coverage goes. Since we were not notified of the unit being broken into, and since they cleaned it and rented it out to another individual, we were never even able to view any possible proof of burglary in the first place. I just received the rejection letter from the insurance company (Cornerstone Operations Group, LLC) and have not broken the news to my daughter yet. She is going to be absolutely devastated. Her marriage was abusive, and she was able to get the courage to leave. Now, she and her children are left with nothing. I am sick. SICK. No one seems to care about making things right and good business...much less having any humanity. Shame on this company and shame on the insurance company. I will be contacting an attorney to see if there is any recourse for my daughter and grandchildren. I have never received any communication since renting my unit. I only paid because I remembered it was about due. went to the location at 4pm. Well within business hours. No staff available to take a payment. Note on the window had a number to call if no one was in the office. No one answered. I would have paid online if I had been sent an email with some sort of account info. I got nothing. And paying on site, turns out, is impossibl as they have no employees on site at 4pm on a Wednesday. Hate the time I had to waste trying to take care of my obligations to a company that can't manage their obligations to me. Namely, having someone on site to take my payment. Really basic business stuff. Either have an employee or send some emails. I got neither because this place is awful. read more

Someone broke our lock and nobody got in contact with us (no voice/text message or email) of this an it's been apparently like this for a month. They have had other locks broken into as well but we were the only ones they were unable to reach. They supposedly have caught no one but have cameras. This whole thing is BS. If you decide to come here have a good lock, check your storage, and cover your items with a tarp. read more

I rented a storage last June. Four months ago I complained of rat droppings, they said because I didn't purchase their insurance they can't help. I have insurance but that was suppose to be for issues that they could not control, like flooding. Just this week I found a dead rat with its guts out and it stunk up the entire unit and my stuff. iStorage again said they can't help. They did not even offer to move my stuff out and worse they did not offer to clean the dead rats guts. The regional manager Rafael said I can pick up my own rat traps from their office and try and catch these rats myself. AVOID THIS PLACE - THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR BELONGINGS. I have pictures of the rat and its guts but I can't see where I can post here. There shouldn't even be a 1 star rating. read more

I had the same issues as other reviewers posted with this storage. I too was called about the lock missing on my storage a few months back. I moved my things out the week of Thanksgiving. All of my boxes/containers were covered in dirt and dust from the ceiling. Some of it got inside of my boxes and I had to wash the clothes, dishes, & towels. I had been taking my time unpacking between work and getting place together. Now I don't know anyone that can unpack everything in 7 days, because I surely didn't. So last night as I was unpacking my box of shoes I noticed that my Steve Madden pumps had been chewed. Then I have noticed more shoes completely chewed away. I called and they said that the insurance won't cover after 7 days. But yet the day before I moved my things out I was charged for the next full month's rent. And of course no refund or prorate. They gave me some district manager number that won't answer or return my calls. No assistance what so ever. read more

Worst storage center ever. They have rats and the managers don't care. The manager is a complete joke. She's about three feet tall and is the rudest person I've met in my entirely life. My five lb chihuahua could run a business better than her. I complained to her that there were rats in my unit and she told me they were raccoons. Umm no. They were definitely rats. No one apologized to me for this and many of my things were damaged by rat urine and rat feces. When I cleaned out my unit I threw a box that was covered in rat shit in the corner and this all star manager charged me 50 dollars for "leaving trash" outside. It's ok though. She probably needs that money a lot more than I do. I can only imagine what the inside of her home must look like if she thinks having rats is acceptable. read more

I have been with this company for approximately three years and since the new owners purchased the company, there has been a decline in the property. The floors are filthy, the lights are dim and there are rodents. I caution anyone who is thinking about renting a unit here. I have mice and rats in my unit as of recent. I have taken everything out to clean and disinfect everything three weeks ago and went back today and saw lots of evidence of more mice and rats in the building and in my unit. The rodents have damaged my dining room chairs. They will require refinishing since they sharpened their teeth on 3 out of 4 chairs. I met another couple who were complaining about roaches in their unit. The ceilings are open and the contact person, Mr. Martinez, says they can't control what other people bring into the building. He says there must be water and food in another unit causing the problem. They are, in my opinion, not doing enough to control the rodents. I will be moving as soon as possible. Since I paid through November 30th and they will not refund a pro-rated amount, I am stuck with my property being eaten by rats and mice. Beware if you care about your property. Don't rent with this iStorage on FM 2920 in Spring. read more
