I'm gonna first start of with the "dispatch" Olga, she is one of the most unprofessional person ever. My girlfriend scheduled our move 2 weeks in advance, and she specifically told Olga that we needed 3 movers and that we needed boxes for our clothes. Everything was confirmed at least 3 times prior to our move. Then the day of our move comes and we agreed on a time frame of 8-9 am, my wife and I both missed work for the move day. We waited all morning and no movers!, 10am still no movers so I decide to call. Some guy with a very strong accent answered and I could barely understand, all I he said was he'd have someone call me. 30 minutes later some "movers" called me claiming to be from a company called "cheap cheap", he could hear the confusion in my voice and quickly changed it back to h-town movers. 11:30am and they finally show up in one of the most beat up moving trucks I have ever seen, it filled my apartment complex with thick black smoke as they pulled up. The box of the truck had a lot of dents and wholes, their equipment was very old and dirty. The workers where very unprofessional and disrespectful, every time I'd let them know that I wanted something wrapped in a blanket they'd make it obvious that they didn't want to do it. Besides the few items they did wrap most of my belongings where basically thrown in the back of the truck. Upon arrival to the drop off destination the movers where about 30 minutes late and when I asked them what the hold up was he said they stopped at the gas station for gas and some cigarettes. They ended up unloading my stuff pretty fast, but when I start inspecting them I could see why. Most if not everything was damaged and when I decide to address the damages to the movers, they basically tell me that h-town won't pay me anything because they are contractors and they would be the once in charge of fixing my damages. They said they'd contact me in 2-4 business days to fix my damaged items, it's been 2 weeks and nothing from the movers. I tried calling the number they left and I haven't had a answer once. I called H-Town and they keep throwing me around to a different "person in charge",I've talked to Olga,max,mark,zhana,ect and the list goes on. They all say that they Will call the driver and investigate but to be honest I feel it in my heart that nothing will be resolved. This will be a lesson learned for me, if you're looking for shady, crooked, unprofessional moving company then H-TOWN is the company for you. I wouldn't recommend this moving experience to my worst enemy, learn from me and do not hire these people!!!!! read more

Let me start by saying that if I could, I would give them ten stars! Htown movers are by far the very BEST moving service that my husband and I have experienced. When you call ask for Michael and his team - Leo ,yunisqui, fransico. They were the three guys who came to help us move. We booked the move for 9 a.m and they called us at 8.40 saying that they are 15 minutes out. Lo and behold they were at our apartment 5 minutes early. They dint waste any time and immediately started with the work. The started with the boxed that they kept at a higher level of the truck. Safe so they dint move and get damaged. They handled all the furniture with so much care. Dismantled the beds and dining table, covered everything with cloth that had some padding in it and also shrink wrapped it on top of it! They completely loaded everything in two hours and that too moving up and down from our second floor apartment! The communication between the boys who came, Leo ,yunisqui, fransico, is amazing. They work swiftly and very carefully. Loading and coming to our new home seems like the easy part as when while trying to get into the gates of our new place their truck got STUCK! Yes... the entry to our new place is quite steep and the back of the truck got stuck. They boys without loosing their cool tried their best to move the truck forward and back but to no avail. Then they called their boss man - Michael, who came in his own truck and helped them out. All this took over an hour to get done. They gave us that one hour for FREE and did not charge saying it was their responsibility. BONUS! Once in they immediately got back to work and put all the boxes and furniture where we asked them and the also assembled the furniture back. All in all it was such a smooth move. My husband has been living in Houston for over ten years and moved at-least 5-6 times. Never have we experiences such professional workers! So polite and always smiling. Thank you so much guys! I used this moving company back in 2022 to move into my townhome, and everything went smoothly with no issues from the movers. However, when I recently contacted them for a quote for another move this year, it turned into a nightmare. When I innocently mentioned wanting to save money, they suddenly jacked up the quote to an absurd amount. For my previous move, four movers finished in just 3 hours. This time, they insisted I only needed three movers and claimed it would take 4 to 7 hours, plus a $160 travel fee. When I suggested sticking with four movers to potentially save time and money, the representative, Alina, had to "consult her manager." I was emailed a revised quote that came back with the travel fee nearly doubling to $300, without any explanation. Confused and annoyed, I checked my old quotes from 2022, which showed no such variation in travel fees based on the number of movers. When I called back for clarification, another representative couldn't justify the sudden increase and promised to get back to me after consulting with Alina. Sure enough, I got a call back, only to be told that four movers weren't available anymore for the requested moving day. Even though I offered flexibility for the entire week, they claimed four movers simply weren't available. Moving out of a three-story townhome clearly requires efficient manpower, just like when I moved in. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Review Update: After posting my initial review, the manager, Anna, reached out to me promptly. She was sincerely apologetic for the issues I experienced with the previous agent. Anna took the time to provide thorough clarification on any concerns I had regarding fees and the number of movers I would need. She also offered a discount on my upcoming move to make up for the inconvenience. As I previously stated, I had no issues with the moving team; they were professional and efficient. My fiancé and I recently bought our first home, and have had to use a variety of services in the process. One of these services was, of course, a moving service. Out of all of the companies we have been in contact with the last month because of our move, Cheap Cheap Movers was absolutely, hands down the best company we had the pleasure of working with. A three-man crew showed up in the time window provided to us on a Saturday morning. They worked diligently, quickly, never taking a single break. They were not the most talkative, but very polite overall. They dealt with our barking dog with grace (and our dog barks and barks at male strangers). But that's not all. Every item was wrapped and moved with care. We went through a move about a year earlier, from Illinois to Texas, and that move resulted in a lot of things breaking. These guys - not a chance of even a scratch on anything. Cheap Cheap Movers was just so careful, it was amazing. Then, when they got to the house we were moving into, they saw that the floors were wood, and took extra care setting things down so as to not damage our home. I couldn't believe it. On top of that, to avoid damaging certain furniture pieces, even though we did not request disassembly and reassembly, they did it free of charge, to take away any risk of our things breaking (and we didn't even purchase extra insurance or anything - they seemed to genuinely care that they didn't damage anything of ours). I can't remember if the three-man crew was under Nick or Mick (I think it was one of the two), but they were ridiculously good. I wish I could remember the name of the main guy on the crew who we were in contact with so that I could sing his and the other guys' individual praises as well. But if this group is representative of the service you always get with Cheap Cheap Movers, I'd say they're the best moving company my fiancé or I have ever dealt with, hands down. read more

I have moved numerous times, both locally and long distance, and have never had a better moving experience. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. He goes out of his way to help reduce the stress of moving. For example, I commented to him that I wasnt sure if I would finish packing in time. Nick eased my concerns by stating that I could call him the day before the move, if needed, and he would send two packers to help me at a very reasonable rate. In fact, their prices are more reasonable than other movers I have used in the past or from whom I requested estimates this time...AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO MUCH BETTER. The two men who did the actual move, Bob and Steve, were diligent, hard-working, respectful, pleasant, and careful. They arrived exactly at 8:00 a.m. as promised (punctuality is not the norm with most movers) and immediately asked my neighbors for permission to block their garage with assurances that they would move the van whenever my neighbors needed to go in or out of their garage. I have used movers in the past whose crews seemed to needlessly draw out the move (local moves are charged by the hour) by talking on their cell phones, taking long lunch breaks, or just dragging their feet (literally and figuratively). In contrast, Bob and Steve never stopped working. When I offered to get lunch for them, they declined. I persisted, and when I returned with the food I told them to take a break and eat. They ate in under 10 minutes and immediately went back to work. They never complained or indicated annoyance, no matter how many times they were asked to rearrange the furniture at the new house. I highly recommend Cheap Cheap Movers Houston. The cost is very reasonable, Nick sticks to his quote (which is free), there are no surprise charges or holding possessions hostage, nothing was broken, the crew was experienced, and the truck was clean. read more

First off...I was not paid to write this review nor did I get a discount for doing so. This is totally my choice and my decision because I was really proud of these young men. I must say I was a little skeptical hiring movers as I've never had a good experience with them in the past but today I can say my perception of professional movers has changed thanks to these guys. They arrived promptly (and actually ahead of scheduled based on the call that was made to me letting me know they were on the way) and immediately got started. I had four gentlemen: Sergio, Jay, Bryce and Billy. They introduced themselves and were extremely polite (they all referred to me as "ma'am" which was cool but I'm not THAT old lol). They were extremely thorough during the entire process. I was still trying to throw things in bags because I had so much left to do (I live alone) and hadn't had time to pack everything up. They didn't want me lifting a finger (which is definitely not something I'm used to. I've had my share of lazy movers who ripped me off.) They took extra precautions for fragile items. Everything was padded and shrink wrapped. They didn't scratch or break anything. It was HOT in Houston today and they never complained. They were more concerned with me and how I was feeling. They unloaded everything and reassembled my beds for me upon arrival to the new place and went above and beyond what I expected. With all of the craziness going on in the world and so much hatred and violence, it really warmed my heart that I got to spend a very stressful Saturday with this diverse group of 4 young men. So, we are back to 5 stars. Here is why: After my last review one of the owners contacted me personally to apologize. He agreed that is not how they do service when you call in. Apparently they are contracted with a call center now to answer overflow calls and whoever assisted me obviously did not adhere to the customer service they require of their employees. He assured me that they appreciate all their customers especially repeat ones and offered to reimburse me for a couple hours due to the bad service I initially received. I told him there was no need as the movers themselves were really good and the 2nd person I spoke with when I called in again, Natasha, was very helpful. He insisted and still reimbursed us the 2 hours. Even without that, I was very impressed and happy that an owner truly cared enough about his company to reach out to someone with a bad experience and wanted to make it right. He assured me that they would even try to figure out who I spoke with to correct it. There are plenty of companies out there that ignore any bad comments from customers (search and you can see Yelp has plenty of them), but he cared enough to want to know what happened from the source and to make it better. This is why I loved this company when I first used them a couple years ago, why I went back to use them last month, and why I would continue to use them in future. Because start to finish, I knew they really do care and if/when they mess up, they want to make it right. People and companies can make mistakes, but great companies admit when they're wrong and reach out to rectify it. Up until now, I've had 100% bad experiences with movers. I've had movers come late, come with fewer movers than I got an estimate for, with a smaller van than I got an estimate for, with overages for additional time or miles, with stuff broken beyond repair, etc., etc. Not this time. I am very happy to report that this was the smoothest, easiest and least stressful move of my life. Cheap Cheap Movers came on time with the right sized van and the three movers I asked for. They were at all times willing to do what I asked, and I changed my mind, a lot. Every time I asked them to move something, sometimes back to the place where it started, the answer was always, "No problem" or "Sure thing". This was also the first time I trusted the movers to move some valuable items, like a new 55" TV and a glass framed painting. From hard experience, I'd learned to move that stuff myself or risk damage. I didn't have a choice this time, my car wasn't big enough, so I let Cheap Cheap Movers take care of them. No problem. Everything was carefully wrapped and gently stowed in the van. At the new house, everything was unwrapped carefully and placed carefully, with no damage or difficulty. The original estimate was for 8 hours and the move was done in 7 (due, in some part, to my using Go Green Box units, but that's a separate review). So my final payment was LESS than the original estimate. How often are you going to read that sentence in a mover review? My only complaint is that the rubber gaskets for the hoses on my washing machine were lost in transit and the hot and cold got swapped around on hook up at the new house. Easily fixed. read more

Punctual, courteous, efficient, and careful are some of the words I would use to describe these movers. From the beginning, I received a quote from them online and then called and left a message. They promptly called back within the hour and set up the move. They made sure to tell me there was a gas charge because our destination was more than 15 miles from the house. I put down the deposit and nervously waited for moving day. I have dealt with movers before and so have some of our friends. We've heard horror stories of broken furniture, missing boxes, and people being over charged when movers stretch out moving time, so i really didn't want that extra stress at all. Edwin and his team did not disappoint. They asked us to take them through every room and point out what we wanted to move. They made sure to point out any damage ahead of time, and they were FAST. They had all the proper tools and supplies and wrapped up all of our furniture before moving them. They disassembled/ reassembled our king sized bed and my husband's desk in no time and kept us under our three hour service time. They made sure to watch our walls and door frames and nothing was damaged! Of course we were cautious and bubble wrapped our TVs, but they handled everything with care. There were no hidden fees and no overcharging. They definitely made our move a lot less stressful and for that I'm thankful. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone moving -- and ask for Edwin and his team if you can!! read more

I thought our new house was ready for moving in, but it fell through, because of unfinished wooden floor decking. We couldn't move in on the desired date, when several friends of mine were available and ready to move me, so I stated scrambling on the list of moving companies near me to find decent service. H Town Houston moving service was the only company out of those several ones, which I contacted to make a reservation for my relocation, which as able to squeeze me into their schedule. I called on the short notice. The moving consultant was friendly and welcoming as well as very informative about each stage of moving process. It was cleared up for me that I could do all the necessary packing on my own. The movers and a truck would just come and take care of over-sized appliances. That nice lady on the phone wasn't pushy and told me that I had a possibility to order not the full package. She gave me flatrate price. I actually was planning on packing by myself, but the next day I called the front office and told them that I would need help for packing. Well, my relocation went smooth. The crew showed up 20 minutes prior to when expected and that put them ahead of the game. The movers were prompt, experienced, courteous and very helpful! The price for their professional help was very nice and fair. I surely will be calling these pretty cheap Houston movers when I need to move again if I ever do. read more

Just before Hurricane Harvey, we had items moved from storage and experienced good and bad... Good - The two men arrived on time and were equipped to move what was needed. They packed the truck with care. Bad - They spent a lot of time talking on the phone and texting (mostly done by the driver). During the trip to the residence, they should have been driving right behind me, but the driver kept slowing down, allowing other cars to get between us. Then he exited the freeway one exit early. When I called his cellphone, he didn't answer right away. (I called three times). When he finally answered, he said that they took a quicker route, but it wasn't. Once they arrived and unloaded our things, they did not have a receipt to give me for the $450 CASH they were to collect. I was told that the receipt would be emailed. Instead, I asked the driver to write out and sign a handwritten receipt for the money, pending the emailed one, which came three days later, after several requests, as a statement, not a receipt. It was not even a professional statement. Later, we saw that two security door poles were never unloaded from the truck and given to us. I emailed about it and left messages, but no one ever called back or sent a proper receipt showing a zero balance for the $450 cash they were paid. We will never use or recommend this company again. Ethics and business practices are questionable. read more

Now when my huge relocation to Pearland is over I can definitely state that this moving company is definitely the best one I've ever hired! I had moved several times in my life before this one, but I think Cheap Cheap Movers was the smoothest one. My moving with Cheap cheap Houston movers was different because it was absolutely pain-free. I had like a ton of junk which I had to move from my attic studio to a new house and some part of belongings - to the storage, so it was bit complicated. Not only the guys were experienced and skillful, but also very careful with every item as it was their own and they didn't want to damage it because of its expensiveness. The apartment movers were also very meticulous and attentive so there was not a single item which wasn't wrapped or protected in the other necessary way. To be honest I did nothing to help the guys as I had back injury, so I couldn't lift and carry heavy items. It was actually completely forbidden even to stretch my shoulder muscles, so I couldn't simplify the process any way and speed it up even a little bit. But I have to admit that apartment movers didn't need any of my help! And watching them run up all the way to the truck and to the apartment was a pleasant thing! They worked so quickly but still carefully! Their pricing is also one of their benefits! Will be calling cheap cheap movers again! read more

Please don't let the customer service fool you. The whole purpose of me hiring/paying for movers was to reduce the stress that comes from the moving process, but now I have to pay thousands of dollars to replace my furniture. I had the movers move my items into a storage unit until my apartment was ready. I didn't feel the need to inspect every single item because I trusted that they knew what they were doing. My $900 couch that I've literally only had for a year was located all the way in the back of the storage unit. Not only was the arm broken because of the way the movers wrapped it, there were also stains all over my couch because it was not wrapped properly. When making the reservation, I was ensured that all of my items would be wrapped properly. However, my couch, my mattress, my papasan cushion, and my mirror were not wrapped properly. When I finally noticed the damages, I contacted the property and they accused me of using another moving company even after I told them I did not. After more complaints, they finally decided to file a claim & gave me $63 for my $900 couch. Hiring movers is an investment & I advise you to take your money elsewhere, ESPECIALLY if you're moving items into a storage unit. Yelp will not allow me to remove or edit this review, so I'll just give an update. The manager, Anna, called me personally and resolved my issue. read more
