I just had this company come to my home this morning to repair my washing machine. It wouldn't drain or spin. It was easy to make an appt. Over the phone, I had to wait about 4 days but that was including a weekend. Alex & a partner came, called 30 min. Prior to arrival, were on time, clean & both wearing masks. I had a great experience with It is Fixed on some repairs to a builtin microwave and trash compactor. I talked to Umid who called himself the dispatcher but I later learned owns the business. He was super knowledgable in discussing the issues we were having with the appliances and whether they could be fixed. The service fee for coming out was only $29 which would be credited to any work done so it was really a no brainer to see if repairs made sense vs replacing the microwave which was an expensive built-in made by Thermador. I think I called at 4pm on a Friday and he was apologetic that he couldnt send a service tech until the next day. Jacob arrived promptly on Sat morning and quickly determined that the microwave needed a new magnetron that had to be special ordered. The trash compactor Jacob was able to fix on the spot using persistence and some elbow grease. Once the microwave part was delivered, Jacob came out to install and in the process he discovered another issue which he was able to troubleshoot and fix on the spot. He helped me remount the microwave into the combination oven unit which was in itself a bit of a job that I wasnt fully expecting him to do as part of the repairs. Jacob was one of the most pleasant, honest and smart/knowledgable service technicians I have ever encountered and I have met a lot of really good ones over the years. Overall, the technician did a good job. It took him about 40 minutes to plug in my dryer and install the vent after a long debate on rear vs. side venting. The repair/hookup or whatever seems to have been done correctly as evidenced by a test I did. The best part was their schedule flexibility. As a note to anyone who may use these folks in the future - for better or worse, they will take your word when you explain what you need done. Many other companies will ask a bunch of questions to clarify the repair, more than just whether the dryer is gas/electric. This company didn't really do that, and what I thought was an accurate description of my problem actually was missing some critical details, resulting in a few calls to Best Buy and LG. I count on the people I hire to educate me, just like a doctor would explain a diagnosis or procedure, and this is an area of improvement for this company. It would have also been nice to have the technician test the unit with me there and show me that it had been set up correctly. But of course, hindsight is 20/20. The most frustrating part was when the technician told me I didn't need to do a side vent (repeatedly). If I'm paying and I want it, it's fine if you can't do it, but don't tell me what I need to do to set up my kitchen the way I want. But that has nothing to do with their capability to perform appliance repairs (and to do so quickly), which is why I am still giving them a 4. Also Amit, the owner, was quick to resolve a billing issue when my coupon from checking in here on yelp was not processed properly. Accepted the job, took MY money, then refused to return to fix--holding me responsible for slow payment from the warranty company FOR OTHER CUSTOMERS. (Not even my claims.) Wouldn't return my phone calls or emails for almost a month--finally reached them using a different number. Endured their unprofessional whining about the situation and a refusal to acknowledge that since they accepted my money, they should have finished the job or at least refunded my money. Insisted I reach out and fix the problem with the warranty company. Failed business 101 on customer service. Finally agreed to refund the money I paid, but left me extremely, extremely frustrated. Had good experiences with these folks in the past; however, I made an appointment with these guys last Tuesday to repair my ice maker only to get a call that my technician was running late, which is understandable. The tech said he should wrap up by 5:00 and would call me when he finished to make sure it was still ok to come by. Never heard from him nor did anyone call the next day. Given our previous experiences with the company, I decided to chalk it up as a misunderstanding so I called again today. Same exact experience today except this time I texted at 6 after being told my technician would be here between 5&6. After I texted the tech at 6:00 he said he could set me up for the same time tomorrow. No thanks. Our less than two (2) year old Whirlpool dishwasher stopped rinsing the soap during the rinse cycle leaving a film of dried soap. We called "It Is Fixed Appliance Repair" on Monday. They scheduled an appointment the following day, Tuesday. The technician (Slava G) arrived on time. He was polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issue as a failing pump. He explained in detail the various options available. We chose to replace the complete panel including the pump and water heater. The part was in stock at their warehouse. Technician Jacob did a thorough job diagnosing the problem and even showed me pictures to explain exactly what was broken. Our washer was broken and we couldn't do laundry. The washer wouldn't drain or spin. They offered to come out the same day, which I wasn't available but they came the next day. I was more than a little disappointed with the repair for my ice maker. I mentioned 2 things to the tech that were wrong with it: 1) not making ice and 2) randomly spilling water through the dispenser. The technician defrosted my ice maker, then gave me tips on refrigerator maintenance and told me he thought that was all the ice maker needed to run again, and we'd see if it worked. When I asked about the water dispenser randomly running, he just said that "GE's just do that sometimes." It seemed weird that I hadn't had that issue until now, but what do I know? I wanted to trust the professional. I turned the ice maker on, and there was ice again. However, the next morning there was water all over my floors from the running dispenser that ended up warping my floors from the "fix". I called back, and they routed me back to the same technician who promised me he knew for sure that it was the water valve this time. He sent another tech who replaced the valve, which fixed both problems, and we've had no issues since. I guess I just feel upset about the whole situation because a) they didn't take the time to properly diagnose or take precautions (suggest keeping a towel or something to protect my floors just in case?) the first time, b) I felt "stuck" with them because I already had paid the fee to have them come out and was already out $160 from the first visit, and c) even though I mentioned that my wood floors were now warped, there were no apologies or acknowledgement - just rerouted to the original technician for round 2 and another $120. But my ice maker is fixed, so there's that. read more

Totally disappointed. I was impressed with all of the good reviews, so I called to schedule an assessment for a repair needed to my dishwasher. I was provided a time window for the following business day. I rearranged my schedule to be at home during that time. I didn't receive a confirmation call, so I called the office to ensure that someone was still planning to come take a look at the dishwasher. I was reassured that someone was indeed coming. When I hadn't received a call within an hour and ten minutes of my time window, I called again. To make a long story short, I was told by the technician that he was NOT going to make it. I found this repair company on homeadvisor and needed my custom refrigerator repaired. The first visit Igor repaired a clogged copper line and said if this did not work that he would refund. It worked for a week and he came back and found that a previous repair service had incorrectly replaced the compressor that was not the right one. After ordering and replacing the compressor he also realized a small motor inside freezer need to be replaced. He came back the next day and replaced it at no charge.
