What a great company! They said they would show up between 2 and 4pm and in fact, their rep (Marcel) did exactly that. He assessed the two issues quickly and fixed the first in 30 minutes and the second in the next hour. Then he tested each until he knew they were both solidly fixed. He insisted on using quality parts so this would not happen again for a long time. Marcel is an excellent service rep and VERY hard-working. Their fees were very reasonable for the amount of time and parts that went into the repair. I strongly recommend this company for major appliance repair. read more

We paid over $400 to fix our refrigerator at the beginning of March and by April it stopped working again. The owner has a cocky and smug attitude which is fine if you're great at your job, however, I can't help but feel you're incompetent. We should have just bought a new fridge. read more

I called to ask about pricing and was told that the trip charge was $75 and that would be applied to the bill if work was done. They charged me $139 to put two pieces of metal tape and a wire on my washer drain hose to secure the hose. I'm not sure how that's worth $139. The $75 was not applied to the order as promised. Very unhappy. My family bought a washing machine last weekend that was supposed to be delivered that Tuesday between 10-11 a.m. I had to call to see the whereabouts of the delivery after 11 a.m. The washing machine was delivered outside of the timeframe promised, to which the company told us the person delivering was running behind. Don't understand how if our delivery was supposed to be the first delivery and we live six miles away. After the Tuesday delivery, the new washing machine broke that Friday. Leaving so much water on the floor. My family called at 10 a.m. the next morning and the company said that a repair person would arrive at our house between 12-1 p.m. No one ever showed. My family then called the company at 2 p.m. to inquire about the status of the repair person. The company called back at 2:30 p.m. and said that the repair person would be there in 30 minutes. To which the repairman worked on the washing machine for 20 minutes and said he would return today (Sunday) with a part that he needed. Today, my family received a text from an unknown person saying that the part couldn't be found and they would get back to us when they could. No day. No timeframe. When my family responded to the text, there was no response. So basically money was spent to in the end have to go to the laundromat. Great. Very unhappy. read more

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I have a dryer that broke. The dryer door has been slightly loose on the hinge for about 1.5 years. I have tightened the bolts over and over again. Being not quite aligned, the door broke the receiving latch. I called A1 appliance rescue to come replace the latch (I ordered the replacement piece myself) and replace the faulty door hinge screws, and realign the door to the latch (this would require removing the from fascia). Marcel came inserted the new door latch, and took the SCREWS FROM ANOTHER PART OF MY OWN DRYER, and placed them into the hinge. He did NOT remove the fascia and secure the hinge from the back. When I spoke with him about work, he told me that he replaced the screws and fixed the door. HE LIED. He did not replace my screws, just rotated them. He did not bother to see if the dryer worked appropriately. THE DOOR IS STILL NOT ALIGNED AND THE LATCH PIECE FALLS OUT. He stayed in my apartment for 7 MINUTES AND I WAS CHARGED $140. read more

Absolutely horrible...A-1 schedule my appt (8am-12). And I took a half day off work for this appt. I had to call back two times to remind them of my appt. In which they schedule!!! Receptionist was rude as though it was my fault the tech was late!!! I recieved a call at 1:45 asking if they could come do repairs. The heating element in my oven went out. I called A-1, and went with them simply because no one else picked up the phone when I called during totally normal business hours. The lady I spoke with, Tia, was extremely helpful. She gave me a thorough quote, so I had a pretty good idea of how much the repair would cost depending on what was wrong, which was extremely helpful. The repairman showed up during the scheduled window, was very polite, and fixed my oven with no incident. I'm very pleased with the service I received and the price of the repair. read more

Out of all the service repair companies we called to fix/replace our washer's front panel A1 Appliance Rescue was the most helpful -- I emailed them a picture of the model number and a few pictures of the front panel damage and they replied that very same day with the part number, the cost of the part and how long it would take to order it. Called on Wednesday scheduled a time between 12 and 3 Around 2:07pm, I text to see if they were going to be on time? 10 minutes later I got a text back saying they were still coming? I asked what time and I was told 2:45pm I get to the unit and wait for 20 minutes, I call and he says he is already there? There is no van or truck that looks like a service vehicle He came in a regular car, which is fine. Normally folks let you know when they arrive? I went inside and he was already working on it He said it needed a new thermostat? He continued to not really do much for another 20 minutes Then he said I would have to replace the part and wasn't sure if I could since the unit was so old? He called and got it, but said it would be late Thursday? I asked if we could aim for Friday morning and he said yes. I text Friday morning at 9:21am because I had not heard anything He text back 10 minutes later and said he would let me know in the next 30 minutes At 10:35 I text again 11:25am he responded back and said the technician would be by between 2 & 4 I asked if he could come earlier and explained what we had spoken about on Wednesday with the technician? He said his schedule allows for that time spot Again, I told him that we spoke of doing this first thing Friday morning I reminded him my tenants have not had an oven since Tuesday And that with the new time frame, they may not have an oven all weekend if things did not go well I did not hear back It is now 2:40pm read more

Very pleased. My garbage disposal inexplicably broke into several pieces right before I was going to sell my house. Needed a replacement ASAP. A1 was able to come out the next day and performed the service for the quoted price (several other companies I called first wouldn't give any quotes over the phone...not even ballpark estimates). Terrible service. They come into your home, break things, and never repair them. They avoid repairing what they have broken, they lie and say they call but never do, They lie about overnighting parts for repair, and then never show up for the repair job. They are crooks!! read more

Incredibly bad service and communication. Technician came for initial check and when it came time to do the service, the technicians do NOT come to their appointments.
