She asked me as I walk in what I need. I explained to her exactly as the gentleman said she said OK have a seat I'll be right with you. About 30 minutes later. Another lady walks in. She ask her what she needs stops from doing the gentleman's taxes and tells the lady how much she's receiving a taxes $1580. I point this all because it's very unprofessional to put everyone's information out loud like that from where I was sitting I could've obtained the gentleman's Social Security number and all other personal information plus she was saying it out loud as she was typing .It is now 445. She stands up, comes up to me and ask me again what I needed and states the person who does the certification is not here. An additional it's gonna cost me 45 more dollars from the $95 price quote for certification. So you plan on going please ask them to do your taxes in private and ask for your price upfront with no hidden fees.

Armando is a bookkeeper with excellent…read moreQuickBooks capabilities and good tax knowledge who unfortunately has incredibly poor time management skills. Armando maintained our books for more than a year and although he was constantly late for his appointments, we were relatively pleased with his service. Then in July an IRS agent walked into our building requesting forms which apparently Armando failed to submit. I immediately called Armando to get the issue resolved and requested he come ASAP to file the forms. He indicated he was incredibly busy, but could come in three days. Three days later he said he was still too busy but would come the following day, and then the following day he implied he was still too busy with "other clients" and needed another day, and at that point we found another bookkeeper. Honestly, we were appalled Armando didn't see the urgency, especially with an IRS agent knocking on our door and the fact is, it was Armando's ineptitude that caused the IRS agent to come in the first place. Basically, it was Armando's responsibility the IRS was as our business and then Armando failed to respond with the any sense of urgency or importance. We found Armando on Craig's List (that was our first mistake, going to C/L for an experienced bookkeeper) Now that I needed to replace Armando, I called Intuit. They recommend using only QuickBooks-certified independent accounting pros (see link below) and that's how we found our new bookkeeper. Strange for some reason we couldn't locate Armando's name anywhere on the site. This particular exchange has served me well, considering the fact that they are open 24/7. As I had quite a bit of pesos and euros laying around, I decided to come here the other day to exchange these for dollars. FYI: they exchange pesos to dollars and vice-versa any time of day or night, but they only exchange euros during the day. The staff here is always friendly, and the exchange is quick and seamless. They have a sizable parking lot, and I've never had any bad experiences in this area, even though I'm usually just passing through San Ysidro. This is a currency exchange place I recommend you use before you head to Mexico, of once you're coming back from there.
