Instead, I experienced repeated harassment, contacted both management and the police multiple times, and still did not feel that effective action was taken. A property's responsibility extends beyond collecting rent--it also includes responding appropriately when residents report legitimate safety concerns. I felt disappointed with how maintenance and move-out issues were handled. We reported that the bathroom exhaust fan was not working, but the repair was never completed. At move-out, we were then charged for issues that we believe should not have been our responsibility, including cleaning cupboards behind the microwave that were already dirty when we moved in and were never used during our tenancy. We also felt that some of the cleaning charges were excessive and did not fairly reflect the condition in which we left the apartment. Overall, my experience left me feeling that resident concerns were not given the attention they deserved and that move-out charges were assessed without adequate consideration of pre-existing conditions or unresolved maintenance requests.
