Wow! This place is incredible. Great food, wonderful vendors and fantastic craftsmanship everywhere I turned. Loved the cutting board and one spoke to me that I took home. It's a neat and medium size market with a large parking lot. There are three sections. There weren't as many farm stands as I was expecting, but there was a large variety of local products, like wine, liquor, flowers, food, coffee, etc. The food was good at all the stands we tried (onigiri, momos, hand pies, and empanadas). There's free wine tastings. The back has a little dock to sit on and there were musicians playing. The outdoor bathrooms were really small. Prices were moderate. While on vacation in the finger lakes region, we had a cooler rainy day that we were looking for something to do. Wy wife found out about the farmers market that was about 30 min drive from us. It was a beautiful drive, we saw many waterfalls and countless wineries on the way. Parking appeared to be daunting, but with a bit of patience we scored a spot close to one of the entrances. It was crowded, but everyone was pleasant and moving through the crowd wasn't an issue. We sampled a few things, bought a couple things, had a snack and enjoyed our time there. It was a rainy day and I was looking for things to do in the area. The farmer's market is covered and there were so many vendors! I was able to sample and purchase delicious local honey, smoked cheese, and honey comb. We purchased a beautiful handmade headband and jewelry for my daughter. There are so many unique art and other items to look at/ purchase. Loved the view of Cayuga Lake as well. There are food vendors and bathrooms as well. read more

First time here since I was a student at Cornell - this is an amazing farmers market!! It's definitely less produce focused than most farmers markets and instead has much more prepared food vendors and vineyards/cideries doing tastings. It's probably 50% wine tastings realistically. The prepared food is a little pricey - dishes will run about $15 or more. Snacks (eg samosas, dumplings) are around $6-8. There are also some coffee and drink stands (kombucha, lemonade, etc). There's ample parking and the spot is wonderful, situated right on the waterfront. Overall this is a great way to spend a weekend morning. Highly recommend a stop while you're in town. read more

Farmers' market is nice. Strawberry lemonade is worth trying but the situation on the parking lot is not worth it. Spent 2 hours trying to get out. Nobody regulates the traffic. Worst. Ithaca Farmers Market seems to be one of the popular places to visit based on online recommendations of things to do in Ithaca, so made it a point to stop by on a weekend visit to Ithaca. The waterfront location on Cayuga Lake with benches and walking paths make it a cute place to visit. The stalls have a variety of vendors selling produce, wines, crafts, specialty goods, cooked foods, coffee, cider, ice cream, and much more. One downside is that there's no place to sit within the market, so you have to leave the market to find a place to sit, relax, or eat food. I felt it lacked quick food options for those who didn't want a full meal, and lacked vendors that sold local baked goods. My favorite part was the live music out by the Cayuga Lake pier where you can sit and enjoy lake views while listening to music. The pier is where Discover Cayuga Lakes cruises take off from on weekends. Overall, I'd rate the Ithaca Farmers Market a 3.5/5 as a fun place to kill an hour or so and perhaps pick up something if you find yourself bored on the weekend while visiting Ithaca. read more

Better than ever with covered areas, lots of good options, etc. Had the savory crepe and iced coffee and walked around looking at hand made art: screen-printed shirts, wooden bowls, jewelry, etc. lots of wine, cheese, and yogurt tastings to boot. Plenty offers and seasonal veggies. Only fruit was strawberries. Cambodian good, samosas, and breakfast burrito stands had very long lines but the food looked delicious. Plenty of parking, seating by the lake and even a hiking trail (1.2 miles) that you can take after and it goes along the water. You can also rent a boat tour while you're down there. read more

The best farmers market I've ever been to! You'll find tons or organic produce, flowers, plants, herbs, honeys, wines, leather goods, jewelry, amazing food and my favorite --40 Weight Espresso! Parking can be a challenge. I usually find a spot, but when I don't, I go to the medical building parking lot nearby on the water and you can pick up a trail that leads to the market there. The customer service is great. There is always someone on duty to help. There are two bathrooms, but I often run into Aldi and use theirs before I hit the market. The market is pretty dreamy. Wood plank floors, music and lights adorn the market. I promise, you'll love it! read more

The Ithaca Farmers Market gets a lot of hype, but I wasn't blown away. Stop in for lunch, said everyone. They have great food for lunch, said everyone. We came in at 1 and every savory food kiosk was completely wiped or had a massive line. We were only able to get our hands on bread and ice cream. The savory food kiosks didn't feel like what you'd typically find at a Farmers Market. They felt a little heavy... maybe in 100 degree weather I just wasn't feeling the heavy Cambodian noodles. I wish there were a few lighter grab and go options like tacos / sandwiches. You also cannot get a glass of wine or beer. Only a small tasting and a full size bottle. Not ideal if you want to walk around and have a drink with your eats. Seating is limited and it was just a bit of a hot mess. I regretted not having a nice and relaxing lunch downtown. The upside - produce looked fresh and bountiful and the flowers were gorgeous. There are of course lots of locally made goodies and if you are looking to shop vs eat there is a ton of selection. Unfortunately for lunch this just wasn't our best bet. Lesson learned! read more

I could have CRIED walking up to this market! What a beautiful dream it is with its adorable booths and vendors and oasis-style atmosphere. It is just so stunning. There's something for everyone including amazing eats, ice cream, honeys, soaps, art, produce, flowers, and much more. I only wish it was open more frequently so I could stop by anytime I am in town. Only open on Saturdays and the traffic does get a little crazy. We parked father away from the market proper so we would have an easier time getting out. The market is situated right on the water which allows for gorgeous views as you take in the sights and smells. I purchased a Farmers Market sweater and will wear it with pride. We had limited time as we were headed to a show after our visit, but I could have stayed and chatted with vendors/sat an enjoyed snacks for HOURS. Everyone from the store owners to the people are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. I loved supporting local businesses when purchasing locally made jewelry, pottery, local plants, and other goods. This community genuinely cares about the quality of their products and commits to composting and other green methods to help our planet. My wife and I heard all about this farmers market and told we had to go. We love these types of markets and usually spend a load of money. The market is open Saturday and Sunday and it is mostly covered. It is a very popular market so be patient getting there and with parking. Overall, my wife and I were a bit disappointed after all of the hype. I guess we expected something different. Way to many wineries giving tastings and tiny booths serving perogies, Cambodian food, breakfast items, etc. We found the only bread place and bought a few loaves and some scones. Prices were excellent. Very few options, if any, for jam, jellies, pies, syrups, salsas, candles, etc. That is what we were looking for. I am so jealous of anyone living in Ithaca. This farmers market is small but mighty! Everything there seems to be local grown. The vendors were so friendly, prices were reasonable, and the options were limitless. Since we were traveling home, we couldn't buy veggies or meat but we made sure to stop at multiple booths for other items. My dog got a bison bone that kept him occupied for about 8 hours and still remains his favorite thing. I got honey for my mom which she says is incredible. I purchased a bourbon cider for my brother. It's tart and a bit dry but very refreshing. I loved seeing the fresh flowers, so beautiful. For lunch my boyfriend got a gyro that he practically cried over, it was so good. I got 2 different crepes, 1 sweet with strawberries which was amazing and 1 savory with chicken and feta. Oh Em gee was that thing incredible! Few places prove to be magical quite like the Ithaca Farmers Market. It is busting with excited energy of Saturday morning, and filled with all sorts of vendors from on the go treats to produce for the week. The market is a decent size filled with vendors from end to end. Walking through we stopped at a crepe shop that had the longest line selling both sweet and savory crepes. We got breakfast crepes filled with eggs, cheese, and some veggies. It was fantastic! The market is also by a lake and it's beautiful to sit out there and eat by the water. We visited the steam boat landing location on a Sunday. There's a steam boat ride if you're into that. We got to try variety of things like apple ciders (hot and cold) with no added sugar that was refreshing and full of natural sweetness, momos (dumplings with veggies), and almond croissant with light filling. This open market is near the lake where steam boat docks. There was nothing like enjoying all these delicious things in a peaceful place. If you have a chance to visit here, it's worth the visit. One of my favorite stops in the spring, summer or fall!! Ithaca Farmers Market is one of the top markets I've been to and always a highlight when I get to come back. The market is measles up to the bottom of Cayuga Lake and is always hopping. The market is large with stall under a wooden roof to keep it shaded and protected if it rains. They range from veggies & fruit, Che's & meats to hand made items like soap, clothing, yarn, pottery and woodworking, so many great things you'll want to take home. They have beautiful flowers and plants and then stalls with food from all around the world. Shop & then grab a bite and take it to the bench's and tables along the water. There usually some musicians playing and you can enjoy the cool breeze coming off the lake and watch the kayakers paddle up to grab some food themselves. Do bring cash as many of the venders only use cash (there's an atm if you need it) A great Saturday event! read more

This is one of my favourite farmers' markets in the world. However as a disclaimer, I may be biased because this has a college-nostalgia for me. Despite that, it ranks up there with smaller town ones like those I've found in Vermont. The farmers' market is open on the early weekends where you can get local fare for a fair price. Selections range from cideries and wineries, apple farms, apiary enthusiasts for honey, artwork, etc. It's all enclosed in an open-air pavilion situated right by the water. One of my favourite places to sit and eat is on the dock. There is abundant seating though -- proper tables, on the rocks, on benches, etc., and there's quite a bit of shade as well. There's also an ATM provided and two proper bathrooms, so overall, the market is legit. Check it out if you're ever in town! read more

By farmer's market standards, it's by far the best around - tons of options for fruits, veggies, local cheese, mushrooms, coffee, you name it. I even got a really cute mask here that I've worn for most of the pandemic. And then, there are the food stalls, if you're here for a meal (which I would definitely recommend). The breakfast burritos are a crowd favorite, but you will have to wait a bit for them. My favorite is the crepe place, I get the spinach & feta with mozzerella cheese sauce on top. Ithaca Farmers' Market is a vendor-run cooperative that supports the local farmers, chefs, and artisans within 30 miles of Ithaca. It offers a variety of different items for sale - fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy products, prepared foods, baked goods, spirits, and other handmade artisanal gifts. The market is inside a pavilion, so it is open in both good and bad weather (i.e. rain or snow). Dogs are not allowed inside the market pavilion, even if they are within a carrier. At the time of writing (June 2020), there were some special guidelines to follow to enforce social distancing measures. For instance, we had to wait outside the pavilion because they were restricting how many patrons can be inside the pavilion simultaneously, and none of the hot prepared foods were available for sale. In addition to wearing a mask/face covering inside the market pavilion, we were asked to not touch any of the produce to minimize contamination. When I visited Ithaca Farmers' Market in June 2020, not all of the vendors were open, and the market was operating with shortened schedule. From my understanding, the market is going to return to normal business hours starting late June/early July. Nonetheless, I appreciated their efforts to provide fresh, local produce to the community even during the challenging times. I can't wait to return in the future to see how the market is when it's business as usual. read more

Amazing selection of vegetables, meat and fruits to buy and some vendors that are selling beautiful flowers. There's a wide selection of things you can buy, like jam, honey, clothes, art and pottery. You can get full really easily. The Amohck Chicken (#7 on the menu) is my favorite, it's so savory and slightly spicy with a nice bed of rice from the Cambodian stall. The fresh squeezed lemonade was the best drink I've had, it was slightly sour but still sweet and so refreshing. The Banh Chev was also really good, just beware that it has a really strong kick and is spicy. The Pad Thai was more on the sweeter side so not my favorite but it got better when you used the lime, but the Thai iced tea was the worst I've had. It was too sweet and they used too much condensed milk where it soon tasted like vanilla ice cream. The Vegan Samosa was ok, it was packed with potatoes, but the sauces they offer is good, with mild or hot curry, and a hot tomato based sauce. The best spot to eat if you're lucky is right at the dock, there's one bench there with a roof, so you can watch over the lake and be in the shade as you enjoy the delicious food! read more

While on our BabyMoon, my husband and I wanted to kill about an hour before heading back to our AirBNB. I had heard that the Ithaca Farmers' Market was practically famous so we had to venture that way. Parking was a mess. This place was so busy. It took forever to find a spot. There isn't really a parking lot, just an area were you make spots up as you drive. The market itself was huge. So many venders! And unique ones as well! It wasn't all vegetables and food. Lots of crafts and homemade items. It was very nice. I wish I had planned differently because we could have done lunch there. There were a ton of pop up restaurants and a nice seating area in the back of the market. read more

What a lovely place! My husband and I stopped by to see what the offerings were and we were very pleasantly surprised! We especially enjoyed the hard cider tastings (still can believe apples have such depth) and we also really liked the wide variety of foods.
