Food is really good. The chicken is so juicy. A more expensive than I would like to see it but in the area it is a solid option.

I tried to book a table in the afternoon for 6pm dinner through the phone, and they lady just said "we are too busy" hangs up.

This is consistently the best Greek food north of Danforth and it may actually be the best. Their roast lamb is ridiculous, calamari ALWAYS prepared property, souvlakis juicy, best garlic bread... I could go on and on. So hilarious how patrons in the area will flock for greasy fried turnips next door instead of this gem. read more

I've tried a ton of Greek places in the GTA and this is definitely my favourite. The grilled calamari is outstanding, extremely tender and well seasoned. I just hosted my baby shower at Ithaca Restaurant. We had about 60 people attending. The staff made sure all our needs were met. They had the tables set up perfectly and the restaurant was very clean from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was great! The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We had a greek salad and chicken breast with potatoes and vegetables. They allowed us to set up our own dessert table at no extra charge. I was very pleased with how everything turned out. read more

Great food, and large quantities. They even have a nice separate section for take-out, which seems consistently busy. We ordered the "dinner for four" for takeout, and there was enough left over for a second meal. Also the Tzatziki was delicious and they provided a lot with the meal. Yesterday was my parents' 50th wedding anniversary! They wanted to have a quaint dinner and as I've been eating at this restaurant for years, I recommended it. I knew they were going to be there for 9pm and called to make arrangements to pay for their evening and put a "50" candle on their dessert as a surprise... I was told "no, we don't allow that" they said They can't accept credit cards over the phone. I said I was coming in to pay in adv. They said I would have to come in at the end of their meal to pay. I mentioned that I have a toddler who is asleep at that time and I cannot leave. I was very frustrated that a simple request could not be fulfilled. I joined this app just to express my disappointment. I have been eating at this place for years, and though the food is great, they have no idea how to please a customer! read more

Great greek food!! I was really impressed. However, was disappointed when they charged me for extra tzatziki. I ordered a large gyro meal and was given a very small portion of Tzatziki so I asked for more. Was not told I would be charged but it was on my bill. Its the little like like this that would make me question if I would return. If I order a large Gyro meal you best be giving enough Tzatziki to go with the large portion. read more

Ithaca is a cute place with slow service but really good food. The hummus was just right, the garlic bread had a DELICIOUS sesame crust that I would never have thought to try myself, and the chicken was well-cooked and nicely spiced. The portions were large, so bring a big appetite or bring a friend. Even the steamed veggies that came with the souvlakis were delicious! read more

My friend had her birthday dinner at this restaurant last year. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and found a dead bee lying under my steamed vegetables.. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to ruin my friends event. I just hope they're more careful and catch these things before they serve it. Emparassing at how they are trying to save money! Greek salad has only 1 olive; bread well let's just say they prefer you eat half a slice and if you ask for more the look on the servers face is like how dare you! While the food is decent, the waiters are all 45+ and kind of slow... upsetting to see that the waiters have each been there for years on years and are pushing retirement. The ceiling is cracked, the floor is very dirty, and the garlic bread baskets were even dirtier! Their website is outdated and on top of that whenever I ask for a take out menu... THEY NEVER HAVE ANY. The food is okay, my friends always come because it's basically the only Greek restaurant in Markham. I got a salad last time and my olive had a finger print on it. Last time I came I was interrupted in my meal with the owner (Simon?), he was screaming (top of his lungs) at a guy telling him he didn't deserve to eat there. (YIKES) Pushed me to write a review finally after the last scream (Customer: I PICK UP EVERY WEEK AND YOU'RE SAYING I DON'T DESERVE TO EAT HERE?). Yikes. My regular go to for Greek food. Have eaten at several Greek restaurants including on the Danforth but this place fits my palate and what I'm looking for in Mediterranean dishes. Consistent quality, fairly priced, take out service is quick. Only negative is the dine in experience; service can be slow when needing the cheque or a refill, and the elderly servers can be quite grumpy and indirectly rude when serving you. I ordered take out from Ithaca through Just Eat. If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. The manager/owner was extremely rude to me. First they cancelled my order, because I requested pick-up and they thought I wanted delivery (which would give them an extra $3 fee) and I had to hold for 10 minutes before that was sorted out. Then they made a mistake on my order - I then had to drive back, return my food, then get yelled at because "nobody reads the comment section", so it was my fault because I didn't order my food properly??? The manager kept trying to shift the blame on me, and made condescending noises, but when a second customer entered the restaurant and could hear him, he immediately backtracked and apologized. In addition, I was told to pick up my replacement order in 15 minutes - when I showed up, expecting the food to be ready, I was then told they would cook it at that point. Why did I have to wait then??? Again, I had to actually bring back the wrong order in order to exchange it for what I had actually ordered. Final straw - once the order was ready, it was whipped across the counter at me. I honestly have no good things to say about this place. read more

I placed a huge catering order for a Saturday afternoon baby shower and I couldn't believe how great they would be. After a bit of confusion about where to park (I couldn't help because I was in an unfamiliar place too), everything went uphill. Condiments were plentiful and tasty. I couldn't believe that they would give me a whole bottle of ketchup for the small serving of fries that I ordered. The portion sizes were gigantic and well wrapped. Terrible chicken parmigiana. Very dry. No sauce and taste terrible. I asked for extra sauce on the side and they didn't send it with the delivery. When I called to complain the owner said she has to trust her cooks over me and that it was put on the chicken. All the food taste processed or frozen and pasta has no taste. My family and I have ordered from Ithica for years, as it's one of the few authentic greek restaurants in Markham- but their customer service is simply terrible!! Just yesterday I ordered a large take out order for my family (cost me upwards of $100) and I made a special request to have our potatoes sauced up in the potato sauce for all ordered. When I got home, I realized they had not put sauce in my entire order! like none! Dry as anything. My husband called to notify them and first the lady was very nice and said we could come and pick up sauce and she'd give us some kind of credit for next time; but then spoke to the chef's who assured her that they had put sauce on and her tone changed. Our meals were DRY. There was not a lack of sauce, there was NO sauce. To have to basically call us liars, was very disheartening. This is not my first bad experience with their customer service- They never take ownership regardless of your order size or frequency is visits. For the price they charge, you'd think they would care more about customer service. Needless to say, my family and I do not plan to ever go back. read more
