I love Greek food so when a friend invited me to join his family to check out the recently opened AGM Eatery, I said YESSS! With hungry mouths to feed, we ordered several dishes, including the popular souvlaki, gyros, calamari, onion rings, and Greek salad. The food looked good and everybody loved it! I had the gyros dinner and it was a tad dry but had decent flavour. I prefer the version of this made with fresh meat, not ground meat. This place is relatively new but the chef has a lot of experience cooking for Greek restaurants, uptown and downtown. A lot of regular customers seemed to be coming in while we were there.

With a name like "Authentic Greek and Mediterranean Eatery", one is inclined to think that the lady doth protest too much. And one would be right. The poutine was OK. Cheese was not squeaky at all but there was a good amount of it. The gravy was pretty tasty. The pork pita was below average. It wasn't Greek style (with some fries inside) - so much for this place being "authentic". The tzatziki was tasteless and the pork was bland, though it had a slight char. Galaktoboureko (Greek custard cake) was decent. The custard was rich but the pastry wasn't flaky and the syrup wasn't fragrant. Right now they have what seems to be an opening promotion on the poutine, fries, onion ring and pork pita, but at normal prices they probably won't be able to compete with other joints.

    Sour cream, not tzatziki

Too many of the wrong spices used to make this dinner. Simply not Greek in nature. The potatoes were SOUR. This is Indian food disguised as Greek food. I love Indian food, and I love greek, so don't get me wrong there. Incredibly misleading and practically inedible. Not even the right sauce was given, they gave us sour cream..... How can a place be so happy being so mediocre. Admit that you are a fusion of a restaurant and stop misleading people. Nothing authentic about this place in the slightest.

The restaurant is clean and really nice looking.

Great new Greek/Mediterranean restaurant. The location is hard to see from the street because it's a bit obstructed by a gas station and A&W. Really clean. Just opened recently. Pork souvlaki was perfectly cooked. Well marinated. Flavorful and juicy. The potatoes tasted great(touch of lemon or something). Even the rice tasted great. Most places have bland rice and potatoes so this was great. The same goes for the gyros. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. The dinners come with salads. If you've tried Esquire's (on VP & Sheppard) food. This is similar flavour but better. Also, unlike Esquire, they take debit and credit. I just wish they would add lamb souvlaki to the menu. Prices are similar to competitors in the area, maybe even slightly cheaper. I definitely recommend it.

Opened in Feb 2025, the sandwich shop is set to expand opening a second location near Dundas and Ossington sometime this year. They are open daily from 11am to 5pm where you can pre-order off Ambassador for pick up or opt for delivery with Ubereats. When Ariete E Toro first opened last year, I recall seeing the long lines as it became super popular. Fast forward to a year later, I finally tried Ariete E Toro recently. The storefront is on a side street off of Yonge St. where it is take out only. They do have a bench near the window/entrance of the store but usually it's utilized by people waiting for their sandwiches. In the summer though, they have a small patio in front of the shop with some tables and chairs. Menu wise, Ariete E Toro has a variety of sandwiches with ingredients that work well together. You are also able to build your own sandwich if you'd like. They also have beverages like soda and water as well. The store boasts that all their ingredients are high quality. An average price of a sandwich is around $17. I decided to pre-order 2 sandwiches for pick up. These are the two sandwiches I got: - Enzo (mortadella di bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachio, lemon and basil oil). - Rogo Rogo (prosciutto cotto, 'nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, and brown butter vinaigrette) Entering the store to pick up my order, staff were amidst completing my sandwiches. There was already a regular there chatting with staff. Service was quick. My sandwiches were packed and I had half of each at home. The size of the sandwich was pretty big! I could only finish 3/4th of the sandwich. Both the Enzo and the Rogo Rogo were tasty but the Enzo stole the show. The moist bread with the mortadella where the pistachio pesto and hint of stracciatella cheese along with a slight crunch from the chopped pistachio made for a perfect sandwich (I do prefer the bread a bit harder and crunchier though but the texture of this one was still good). I was sharing the sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich. I would have given a higher rating on Yelp but finding someone else's hair in your food is off-putting. I do hope that if I return next time (either to this location or to their new location near Ossington/Dundas) that we won't find any surprises in our food. Overall, delicious sandwiches in Midtown Toronto, however, we did find a piece of hair in our sandwiches which.... kind of makes me hesitant to return. **Update** - I wrote a review on Google where the owner personally asked me to email them to rectify the situation with the piece of hair found in my sandwich. The owner apologized and stated that he was actually the one who personally made my sandwich that day (sliced the deli meat, etc.). He also made sure that he would speak with the bread manufacturer to make sure that they were aware of the situation as it may have come from the bread as well. He also gave me a refund for one sandwich as well as a $25 credit for if I wanted to give the sandwich spot another chance (the sandwich is too good to not go back!). That is what I call great customer service - making sure that an apology was given and that customers are happy. Would happily return again for their tasty sandwiches!!

Food: I got the Enzo - I'm a big fan of mortadella and pistachio pesto, and it's one of their OGs. I wasn't as big a fan of the sotto bosco, but overall the quality and portion sizes are solid. Presentation: Each sandwich comes in a snazzy box perfect for keeping the sandwich intact Space: Clean shop, more of a take out spot, with just one bench by the windows for seating Service: Quick and efficient - no line when I went right at opening on a Sunday. I came here hoping to satisfy my craving for a proper Italian mortadella sandwich after Eataly left me underwhelmed. Thankfully, this one hit the spot.

Wowowow I'm so impressed…read more Lambo's Deli does sandwiches right. The moment I got my sandwich, I knew. From of the nostalgic paper bag. A sandwich that's packed TIGHT is packed right. No mess, no stress. That is serious business. The best part is, the ingredients taste so FRESH. As we were waiting, the friendly staff offered everyone free ice cream samples. It was 25°C sunny so it was much needed. No one refused! They're testing out flavours, so I think we will expect to see soft-serve ice cream on their menu in the near future! I got the Caprese sandwich and the fresh mozzarella was so refreshing! Geniusly, there was a layer of breadcrumbs added to my sandwich, which I found very humorous... b/c really? A bread byproduct inside of a sandwich? That was a first for me. But y'know what, the crunch element over the mozzarella was a really good pairing and it works! Also, the pesto was so fresh and good.. that I had pesto on my mind the next day and I just had to find something pesto for lunch again, the influence! Honestly, we did not have the intention of visiting Lambo's that day. We had walked past it on the way to another restaurant, but I remember this corner store with bold modern-80's decor caught my eye. After our original plans fell through, we stumbled back to this street corner which turned out to be a fantastic accident because we wound up loving Lambo's so much, we swore to come back to try the rest of their sandwiches!

This small shop located in Leslieville serves up some great sandwiches in a space that is primarily take out only (although there are a few bar/counter spots if you'd like to eat there. They are also open daily from 11am to 9pm. Menu wise, there are 9-10 kinds of sandwiches to choose from. They are all served on a sesame kaiser roll and cut in half. You're also able to add on ingredients on top of the already selected ones in the sandwiches. Each of Lambo's Deli locations also have a special sandwich, where this time when I went, it was the crispy chicken club. They also have soft serve as well (rotating flavours!). I stopped by Lambo's Deli on a Monday morning before the lunch rush and opted to grab: - Italian trio sandwich (soppressata, mortadella, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, picked red onion, arugula, pesto, Calabrian chili spread) - $18 - Soft serve (flavour was hojicha) -$5 Service was friendly and I received my soft serve while waiting for my sandwich to be prepared. It took about 5 min and it was nicely packed. Staff were great and handed me a handful of napkins as well. I ate my sandwich an hour later and before opening the packaging, the sandwich was pretty heavy! Looking at a cross section of the sandwich, it was packed with ingredients! The Italian Trio sandwich was delicious. The roasted red peppers, pickled red onion, arugula, and Calabrian chili spread added freshness to the sandwich which didn't make it feel so heavy with all the deli meats inside as well as the mozzarella cheese. The sandwiches are big and I could only finish half for lunch. Overall, a delicious sandwich shop in Leslieville. Lambo's Deli definitely packs a lot of ingredients in their sandwiches which make for a tasty meal. Be warned, the sandwiches are huge! Also...don't miss out on their soft serve too!
