I needed two large gable windows installed in my attic. Before the scheduled quote I explained that my contractor would create the frame and another company was making the windows. We needed their installation services because, as you can imagine, a crane of some sort would be needed to elevate and hold in place the large windows. We also have other windows that needed to be replaced throughout the house. Upon arrival, Daniel saw the window cutouts and proceeded to work him self into a frenzy. He claimed that "he did not install other people's windows and that we are wasting his time". My wife tried to explain, but he would not let her get a word in. At that point, due to his unprofessional and aggressive behavior my wife politely told him that this isn't going to work and asked him to leave. He started becoming more irate and raised his hand at her as if to back hand slap her. Please never use Madison Vinyl Windows. Daniel Kurtz is a bigoted coward. Needing some remodeling work and never had to use a contractor in the Ithaca area, I started asking for a good contractor. I received Chris Eder as reference to use. From our first phone call, he was very professional. Chris was very punctual for our first meeting and after looking at the job that I wanted him to do, he gave me a written email estimate later that evening. Every day for work he was on time, and every day when he was done working, he always cleaned up debris or mess that he had made as if he had not even been there. I am very pleased. I have had Chris do several different jobs for me on my house and rental and he has never failed me. He has remodeled three bathrooms, trim work around floor and windows, carpet/vinyl flooring installation, subflooring, installed electric baseboard heating, ceiling lights, minor electrical work and building storage shelves in my garage for me. Chris is always accommodating around my work schedule when he does a job for me. He has never started a job and then left me hanging days before returning. Every time I have asked him to do a job on whatever days I am available Chris is always there on time, always professional, very reasonable and works harder than a beaver with dull teeth.
