I went here with a groupon and they attempted to correct my spider vein issue. Did not work and they recommended me going to see a vein specialist at Scripps. I had to get a referral to go, which I did, and they did an extensive exam and the NP kept asking WHY was I sent there by iThrive. I explained what I was doing and she was very put out with them saying it was unnecessary and advised me NOT to go back to them. They're almost impossible to get ahold of and there's something shady going on there. I don't understand the good reviews. I bought a Groupon to have a superficial spider vein removed, and I could tell immediately they didn't like that I was coming in with a discounted Groupon. Why offer it then? The doctor tried to upsell me on other treatments claiming it was absolutely necessary for me to get a $300 ultrasound from them to look closer at my veins because there was an issue. I went to my primary care instead. They ordered multiple ultrasounds and found absolutely nothing wrong. Everything came back normal. They seemed confused at why it was recommended for me to have ultrasounds done. When I tried to schedule with Ithrive again they wouldn't pick up the phone or return any of my phone calls. It took about a week for me to finally get someone on the phone. When they did pick up they knew who I was from my phone number. They said they would not see me unless I paid for an ultrasound from them. Their reasoning was that they "have problems with ultrasounds from outside facilities" I'm pretty sure my ultra sound from renowned scripps health facility is going to be legit. When I told them this isnt right, doctors offices/facilities order medical records for their patients all the time, and I would complain to Groupon and leave them a bad review, suddenly my ultrasound was fine and they would see me. The office manager kept calling me and leaving messages. But frankly I don't trust this office anymore. It doesn't seem like a legit medically run business, With the practices they have. I also don't want to paid off on exchange for a good review. This was my real experience and I don't want others to go through the same thing. I would not recommend coming here unless you want to pay for additional services you probably don't need. read more

Very pleased with my first appointment at Ithrive. I had called two other vein places before this and neither had any knowledge on the insurance side of treatment whatsoever. Here they check your insurance coverage with you and share it with you in a detailed way. I then had my first appointment to see my current vein functioning. I went in excited for my very first cosmetic procedure ever, sclerotherapy to remove some spider veins on my thighs. After my exam, Dr. Damani advised that I may have a deeper medical issue with my veins. And that if they went ahead with the cosmetic sclero without medical treatment, my issue would only return later and cause even more unsightly veins. While I was disappointed that I couldn't immediately solve my cosmetic issue, I was glad that they warned me to prevent further complications so I can get it done right the first time and avoid varicose veins as I age. I went ahead with the radiofrequency ablation procedure and about to finally undergo sclerotherapy! The procedure went well and recovery was smooth. I must say that Steve has a much gentler hand than Dr. Damani as far as administering the procedures. I stand all day at work and my feet aches by the end of the day every single day. It was easy and breezy the whole process of getting an ultrasound to get a PA approve through my insurance to collapse the varicose veins was easy. One of my vein reopen by the 30th day follow up and I needed an additional treatment. They do it as they follow up on the veins. My veins haven't reopen yet. I am not getting sclerotherapy after my varicose vein treatments and the process is easy. I really recommend trying to see if it improves your quality of life.
