This review is based purely off of results. I had stopped squatting in the gym because of constant knee pain from an old football injury. I saw an ad for SoftWave and its ability to provide pain relief to pain point areas on the body. I decided to try it out on my knee, and it was the best decision I could have made. I'm pretty sure after one treatment I had enough pain relief in my knee to start squatting with considerable weight on the bar. This technology doesn't numb or mask the pain; it actually begins to repair and heal the area from the stem cells it causes the body to produce from the acoustic sound waves applied to the area. I originally purchased a package that included 12 chiropractic visits and 4 SoftWave treatments. Because SoftWave treatments are expensive, I chose not to buy a larger package upfront and later purchased 4 additional treatments separately. When I called to purchase my final 4 SoftWave treatments, I was told the pricing structure had changed and they would not honor the previous pricing. Even more frustrating, I was informed that I could not use my remaining chiropractic visits because they were required to be used together with the original package. This was never explained to me when I made the purchase, and I wasn't informed of it until I tried to schedule. Unfortunately, the office always felt disorganized. While there was a young man at the front desk who was consistently friendly and professional, my interactions with the billing department were often unpleasant and unwelcoming. I have good insurance coverage for chiropractic care, so I requested superbills for both my chiropractic and SoftWave treatments to submit and see if either might be covered. The office provided these without issue each time I asked. In the end, SoftWave wasn't covered, but it was worth trying. Fast forward a year: I called to inquire about their current SoftWave pricing packages and was shocked when I was told there was a note in my file stating that they would no longer treat me because I had submitted the bills to my insurance company, which they claimed was against their policy. This was the first time I had ever heard of such a policy. I was honestly stunned. First, I was denied the ability to use services I had already paid for, and now I'm being refused treatment altogether. After spending thousands of dollars at this clinic, that was incredibly disappointing. The one positive thing I can say is that SoftWave itself was fantastic and genuinely helped my body. Fortunately, there are many other providers offering SoftWave treatments in the area. My recommendation: try SoftWave, but get it somewhere else. read more

Achilles Tendonitis is pain free, thanks to Soft Wave Therapy and Dr O'Neil. I had suffered for well over a year and was facing surgery and a six month recovery. I decided to have 8 treatments, one week apart and Viola! By the six session I was nearly pain free and by the seventh one, the pain was non existent. Leaving for a Mediterranean cruise in a few weeks, and I know I will be able to walk comfortably for miles! First I will say that I think this is the only therapy that really has worked for me, which is why I drove an hour a week religiously to get this treatment (and I got a discount), but that being said, the office needs to get their back office together which is what has led me to write this review. I have been buying packages for months and they had no record of a four pack that was still on my account, so I literally had to find all my receipts and days that I came and prove that they still owed me four visits (not my job but did not want to lose my sessions) When I initially brought this up, I got major attitude which made me a little uncomfortable, but I am there for therapy not friendships - so I moved forward. Fast forward to this week, when once again, their record keeping was off. They told me I had used all my package when I had one left. Then they tell me that not only are prices going up 20% the regular price, but the Doctor would no longer be doing treatments on patients. Only technicians will do treatments and the Doctor will not do my last treatment of my package (just a tech). So now, not only have I lost the history and treatment from the Doctor, but prices are going up and I just get a tech? I literally spent THOUSANDS, and they can't keep staff here. I think I know why, but I will keep that to myself. Needless to say, I told them if the Doctor will not honor the last visit of my package (which is very poor form), then I want my money back for that session. They did refund it promptly, but I never received a response back from the Doctor when I asked the office gal to relay my feedback which is why I am writing this review. The office needs to realize how much money people give out of pocket because insurance does not cover it, and how much pain they are in by the time we get there. At least that is how I ended up there. I have been very patient with this office, so if you go here, keep your receipts and be prepared not to see the Doctor except on initial evaluation, and keep in mind their staff turnover is high. Dr. O'Neill does seem good at what he does medically, but the hot and cold attitude of the office and the way the business is run on the back end needs a lot of work. read more

Incredible experience here! Dr Kurt is the best! I've been getting adjustments for years, in the different states and cities I have lived in. Let me tell you, Dr Kurt is amazing. Dr. Kurt is a really excellent chiropractor! I have been to several over the past 20+ years, starting at age 17 when I was rear-ended by a drunk driver. He is honestly one of the best and able to adjust spots/areas that other chiropractors have not been able to reach. He is thorough and efficient but also very welcoming, intuitive and knowledgeable. The first time I walked into his office it felt like a Zen spa because it was so peaceful and calm. It's also so convenient to stop in anytime I'm in the area and feel the need for an adjustment (no appointments needed!). Dr. O'Neill is an excellent chiropractor and I am so glad to have found him! He called me right away after I was in much pain Thanksgiving night..he called me soon the day after, and told me he was available even the day after Thanksgiving. I love the chiropractor I am with, but there was something Dr. O'Neill did to really relax my whole body and mind, and to take the pain away. He is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, and I am also very grateful that he checks and adjusts my 3 yr old, who falls asleep in the car right after an adjustment, relaxes, and eats better. I went in today, (the day after Christmas!!) and he was there, and I am sooo very grateful because I had one of the biggest migraines last night I had ever had in many many years. I also had a serious stomach ache. He adjusted me, and I could pick up my daughter and move again, and think..I felt so much better right away. I did errands, and was happy again after being in pain all night. I can't say enough good things about the treatment I am getting at Nuspine in Solana Beach!! I just know I feel 100x better, in a way I have not felt in years.
