My favorite honey store. We can't get enough and come here every two months at the least. Why I haven't been checking in I don't know. We love the raw honey, buckwheat, honey, and my absolute favorite jam is the Christmas jam. Excellent service and you were greeted with a friendly face and hot tea. Lots more to purchase other than honey and jam. They also have beauty products, soaps, and plants for sale not to mention their own kitchenware, hand towels, and super cute themed items. This is one of my wife's favorite stores. She is very particular about honey but loves the product from It's All About Bees. Many relatives and friends have received gifts of honey over the years. This year we've started going to local farmers markets and we're delighted to see It's About Bees at the Omaha and Aksarben markets. Service was extremely friendly. This is a great store that has been enlarged since I was last here and has added a lot of products. There are plants for sale right inside the door and a huge array of honey, jams, and jellies with unique flavors. The sample jars beckon to help with decision making. I was offered a sample of herbal tea which they sell. It was tasty. The products are all honey and bee centric as expected, including lotions and skin care products. There's a lot of gift items such as aprons, t-shirts, and tea towels, to name few, all in keeping with the theme. This is the cutest small business, full of different types of products (honey, creamed honey, and aprons). The staff is friendly and will allow you to taste the different flavors so you'll know what you would want to buy. I loved everything I purchased, the elderflower syrup, and the cream honey flavors. This place is a great find. It's in a strip mall off of 84th just south of Omaha in Ralston, surrounded by all types of booze shops. It's a small shop, but it's packed with more honey and honey products than you can imagine. One side is filled with body care products and the rest of the store has edible goods. I personally went straight for the local honey, of which they have several creamed varieties. The local stuff is in plain liquid and creamed form in the back left of the store as you walk in, and there are several local creamed flavors in the back right towards the body care products. They have flavors such as pecan, cinnamon, cayenne, pumpkin spice, chai, vanilla, lemon, blueberry and more. Best of all, you can sample all of these flavors if you ask the person working, as they have sample jars out behind the counter. I tried several of the local creamed honey and ended up buying two jars. The 10oz jars of the flavored creamed honey go for $7.50, whereas a 24oz jar of the plain local honey is only $10. The chai honey is amazing, and i definitely recommend trying it. The service was very friendly as well, especially since I asked to try to many different types of honey. My sister sent gave me a sample of their honey for my birthday, then a giftcard for Christmas. WOW! The raw honey is rich and creamy and a nice natural addition to my home remedy for a scratchy throat (one whole lemon, a couple of tablespoons of honey and lavender tea). I love the honey some much I'm taking a tablespoon straight from the jar to help heal my throat. I know I'm getting the nutrients I need to get better. I remember meeting co-owner Wendy over a decade ago when I started going to the Farmer's Market downtown. I loved her products and bought something almost every week. She and I would chat a bit and all these years later with an even larger customer base, she still remembers my name and says hi when I shop at the Farmer's Market Aksarben Village. She has a great selection of local honey, creamed honey and other varieties as well as jams, mustards, salsas, bbq, and body products. They are all wonderful but my personal favorites are the strawberry and apricot jams. I believe that a lot of care and love go into each jar. I have tried the foot cream (nice!) but not the lip balm or other lotions but will hopefully rectify that this coming Sunday! read more

My weekly visit to the farmers market is not complete without saying hello to my honey girls! ^_^ I purchase their raw honey and it is top quality, far surpassing most "name brands" sold in health food markets. Although, they do sell their honey in local shops including whole foods as well as their local shop. Their honey sticks are yummy and I've often found myself purchasing them for foster kids and husband alike. In addition to the "normal" types of honey you would typically think of they also sell a variety of specialty type honeys, mustard, jellies, jams, ketchup, tea products, beeswax, lip products,lotions, et cetera! I'm not a huge fan of their body products but most of spiced or flavored honeys are very yummy. If you're adventurous I suggest the chili honeys including their habanero and jalapeno flavors. I also appreciate the various types of honey, and them taking the time to explain where they are harvested and how the process works. Sunflower honey and buckwheat are so wild in flavor, you have to try them. Oh and honey for allergies? YES PLEASE! If you've ever heard that a spoonful of honey everyday helps with seasonal regional allergies well you're right, it does. My husband eats a tablespoon every morning in his oatmeal and has mostly all year long. He has not had the typical allergy problems he would get in the spring and summer. What a fantastic little store! I'm honesty obsessed. I discovered this place around the holidays when I was searching for local honey as a gift for a friend, and accidentally ended up spending almost $300 on gifts for all my friends and family (and myself, oops!) We ended up visiting 3 times in a 2 week period because I couldn't get enough of this store. They have their own bees which is fantastic, and even if you aren't a honey fan I suggest you come take a look. They have TONS of things to look at, from salsas to chapsticks to teas to little dishes and way way more. And of course a HUGE assortment of honeys of all different flavors. All the times I've went there they had samples of teas and honeycomb and salsas out. It's fun to go around and try all the samples. The people working there are all super friendly, I ended up talking to a lady about her daughter's cat for a long time. I have been wanting to try raw honey comb for a few months now! And thank the Yelp, I found this! And Facebook lol I was so excited and I couldn't believe I drove to another town to get this! Mind you, I got lost but it's located in the shipping plaza next to Xenon Academy. I went in and my oh my! It was the cutest honey decor! Has everything homey! I love it! I got what I wanted and now they store a smaller batch in a jar. It's soooo cute but everything else look cute too! What a wonderful locally owned store! You may have seen them at the Farmers Market, and thought they only sell honey. However, this brick and mortar store is so much more! They have very cute gifts available, including these antique tea cup sets. They also have many bee themed items. Lotion, soap, different flavored honeys, lots of flavors and types of tea, and jellies just to name a few. They had one of their teas made that they offered upon entering the store. It was a rose petal tea (that they sell) with some of their honey in it. I don't typically like tea, but it was delicious! Everyone there was super friendly and genuine. Met Wendy and her staff at the farmers market. From simple impulse buys, we have become loyal customers. We have used a number of their products and have yet to be disappointed. The jams are unique and tasty. They stretch from staples such as strawberry, to less known, such as melon flavors. They have a great line of sweet/hot jams that are great to cook with, or just on a cracker. The star of the store is the excellent variety of honey available. From straight raw, to flavored, they have something to fit every taste. They also package into sticks for the trip home. They also carry a great line of non food products. I had heard about All about bees when I was looking for some beeswax for a project I was doing. I stopped by and asked a question and the staff that was there at the time didn't know the answer. I left the containers that I needed to fill (24 containers, bulk of volume was going to be beeswax) with a note explaining that I needed to fill 24 containers with beeswax. They said they would get back to me. I called 4 days later because I had not heard anything and the lady said she was too busy to call back and didn't understand the note. I explained it again and she said she didn't know how much I needed and she didn't have time to help me figure it out but if I wanted to figure out the size of each container and multiply by 24 that I could do that and then let her know. Very frustrated and will NOT be doing business with this extremely rude and unhelpful business woman. read more

Every few months, I come to "It's All About Bees" to stock up! Their honey and variety of jams are so great. I feel very proud knowing this establishment is part of my local community!
