I was pleasantly surprised that a waffle comes included with the skillets, and even more surprised that it's a house-made protein waffle. Such a nice touch! The coffee was just as impressive as the food. They have a huge variety of flavors and customization options. Their lattes are on the sweeter side, which I personally love, and the coffee itself is smooth. The cold foam is fantastic. I also appreciate that all drinks come in to-go cups. As a slow coffee drinker, I love being able to take my coffee with me when I'm ready to leave. The atmosphere is great as well, especially the patio. Our first visit was during a busier time, and while our server was incredibly friendly, the patio didn't get checked on very often beyond ordering and food delivery. When we came back a few days later and sat inside, the service was fantastic. Multiple staff members checked on us throughout our meal, and the experience felt much more attentive. It may have just been a difference between the patio and indoor seating or the level of busyness. Overall, we were impressed enough to come back within three days, which says a lot. This made it super easy to split the meal with my son: we just added a couple of eggs to the chilaquiles for me, and then ordered him a side of beef and a delicious pastry, and then there were plenty of sides on my dish that he enjoyed picking at. I actually was not planning on getting coffee here but toward the end of our visit I decided it would be a loss not to try it while we were in here. I ended up deciding on an iced Mazapan latte and I was very pleasantly surprised! I have since returned for this exact latte again. It is such a great balance of creamy and sweet and nutty. They only offered one herbal option (lavender mint) but unfortunately I could only taste the mint and didn't notice any lavender. They did have other caffeine-free drinks available, but I was looking for something unsweetened and low in sugar. The space was also different than I expected. Based on the name, I imagined a cozy, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable lounge seating. Instead, the décor felt a bit mismatched, almost like the café had expanded over time and the two sides were decorated very differently. That said, one thing they absolutely got right was the amount of seating. There were plenty of tables and space to work, study, or catch up with a friend without feeling crowded. The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The bathroom didn't feel clean, there were stains on the floors, chipped paint and damaged walls, crumbs around the couches and on some of the chairs, and the dish return bins were noticeably dirty inside. I stayed for about 90 minutes, and during that time I didn't see any cleaning happening, even though there were several areas that clearly needed attention. None of these issues alone would have been a dealbreaker, but together they made the café feel neglected and took away from what otherwise could have been a much more enjoyable experience.
