This was a Malaysian hawker, a very casual place to grab something to eat. I was in town for the…read moreSydney Marathon and was staying nearby. The pictures and reviews looked good, so I decided to check it out. You can go straight to the counter and place your order. You have the option of eating in or taking it to-go. I ordered the Nasi Lemak. As advertised on their menu, it's their signature dish. This is Malaysia's national dish, it's a fragrant coconut rice dish served with peanuts, crispy anchovies and pickled vegetables. I got it with beef rendang. Instead of beef, you have the option to get it with chicken curry. I never had Malaysian food before, but this breakfast dish was very similar to what Taiwanese eat. I thought it was not bad. I'm pretty sure it's good for Sydney and you would most definitely get something better at Malaysia. If you're eating in, once you're done, you can bring your plates and utensils to the counter.

Everything tasted super authentic and perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portion sizes and protein content was definitely above average which is impressive as the prices were extremely reasonable. The staff was happy and attentive and the space was large and clean. Solid 4 stars ! Give it go

LOL In fact it is the only non-Thai dish on their menu. It didn't come up on my research of best fish and chips in Sydney but gave it a try. Here is how they scored: Barramundi Fish and Chips $15: my oh my Talay's is going to be contender for first place. The fish was fresh and cooked well with a light beer batter and not too greasy. The fries were good too What more could you want. Score 5/5 Whole Steamed Barramundi with Ginger $18.90: a whole steamed barramundi for $15 US??? That has got to be the best seafood deal in Sydney. I got it take away and sorry the picture made it look like road kill because in the restaurant it is quite lovely. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The sauce was a little sweet and bland. I wold probably get lime and spicy sauce next time. 4/5 Well this place is awesome for seafood and worth the walk to Chippendales. Yeah it's a little off the beaten track but it is only 1 block from the Central Park Mall. Buy some UGGs and eat a some barramundi. A real Ausie experience. Ha ha Check it out.
