I'm always looking for new things to do with my son especially as the weather gets colder. Stopped by the jam time in Maynard and the lady at the desk was so friendly! There was also a music class that morning and I asked if my son and I could check it out- we did and we loved it- wished we lived closer to sign him up for him but love they have special events throughout the year. I am a first time parent and jenny(the music teacher) was so helpful in showing me how to use music to bond with my son. After we went and played in their infant play area. We had a joint birthday party here for our daughters third and sons first. We couldn't have asked for a better party! Very clean! They handle the set up, goodie bags, decorations, have plenty of staff on hand to help. We also opted to have a show and went with the animal one- it was a huge hit! Highly recommend. read more

Why are the hours only 9-1145 on a Saturday? The one day my husband and I had for the first time in weeks to take my daughter and they were closing as we arrived at 11:40 and said we could only play if we paid $100. Weekends are sometimes the only times families are able to be together. Disappointed the hours are longer on week days than a Saturday. read more

We attended a party here on Sunday and it was so upbeat, friendly and well run by the staff that I would highly recommend having a party here. There are so many activities for the children, and a character from the movie of the theme of the party came out to greet all the children. This was thrilling for them. read more

We celebrated my sons 1st birthday this past Saturday. We booked the party package & it did not disappoint. The party room was decorated beautifully & the staff was amazing. I took my almost 3 year old and we had a great time. Kids can run around, be loud, make a mess and just be kids. The toys are in pretty good shape and there's lots to play with. We played with just about everything there. It's especially great in winter since it's warm and dry. And aside from the toys that are everywhere because that's what they're there for, it's so clean. read more

This place is the best - we come here every week. Often we visit the Natick location near the boys grandparents home as well. The space is large enough that he kids never get bored but small enough that you can keep a good eye on them while sitting in any one of the nine love seats/couches. Jam Time keeps their toys and activity areas really clean too. There are Hand Sanitizing areas and a wonderful place to eat snack or lunch, they offer relatively healthy snacks for sale at the counter. It can get a bit crowded during birthday parties on the weekends but all in all it's been a saving grace for the boys and myself this winter. Keep checking in for special events on weekends, around holidays and during school vacations. This place is the best for little people to have a blast close to home! read more

Great new play spot for kids! We visited for the first time today. Most of the kids there were age 4 or younger. The play structures are pretty impressive and would be fun for older kids (5-7). There are different play stations for the younger ones (ball pit, train table, store, farm set, bouncy house, etc.). There is also an area designated for babies with lots of padded equipment. The seating for parents is nice and comfy and the cafe is nice as well. My criticisms are few. The hours on the weekend seem quite limited to me. I work full time so I wish they were open later (than 1:30) on Saturday and Sunday. Also, while I think $10 is fair for one day's unlimited playtime for one child, I wish there was a deal for half-day, or late arrivals (ex. If I arrive an hour before closing, $20 is a lot to pay for two kids). Even a sibling discount would help. On a positive note, you can by 12 visits for the price of 10. All in all, Jam Time is a welcomed addition to the area. Glad to see that the numerous failing restaurants in this spot have been replaced by something positive. read more

Nice new, clean play space. Not as big as some of the others, but very clean and new. They allow outside food in, which is different from some other places (OSF). The smallness does provide the advantage of being able to sit and see your kids wherever they are in the place. read more

i was smart enough to hold my daughter's 4th birthday here. They did a remarkable job! We chose the "Semi-Private Bash" party, which included face painting, temporary tatoos, cupcakes, balloons, goody bags and plenty of play time. I did not do a thing but looked like a rock star to all of my guests. Everything was well organized, looked fabulous, and was clean, clean, clean. The kids (all 3 or 4 years old) had a great time playing among the many stations. I may well do this again next year, but I would recommend highly to any parent. read more

As the parent of two little boys (2 and 4 years old), we're always looking for fun places to go. Jam Time is our favorite place! Both kids love it and I am always so impressed by how clean the place is (which is something that can't be said about a lot of other indoor play spaces). Mandy and Malcolm (the owners) are incredibly nice and professional. We've been taking classes at Jam Time (science and baby/toddler activity classes) for a long time and can't say enough great things about them! We recently had a party for my older son there and I was impressed by their attention to detail and organization. You could tell that they genuinely cared about making sure that the child and parents are happy with the whole event. Highly recommended! read more

As the weather is changing we are finding Jamtime to be a life savor. We just love it here. My 14 month old is enrolled in a class. It has done a wonderful job of helping him feel more comfortable in social situations. The play space is amazing. They have climbing structures, slides, a bouncy house, and just about every type of toy you might need. Littler kids do need to be watched, but that is normal everywhere. They also have a separate area for the under two crowed, though it doesn't always hold my sons interest. He more wants to push around the toy cars. read more

Jam Time is by far our favorite indoor playground. So much to do for kids of all ages. I love the open concept so I can keep an eye on my child at all times without having to follow him around. The staff is friendly and welcoming- and maybe, most importantly- it is very clean! This is a fantastic place for both drop in play but especially for birthday parties. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly and works to make the whole party run seamlessly. The Maynard location, that I attended, is clean, safe and has activities and structures that can easily entertain all the kids at a given party. My experience was kids involved in bouncing, sliding, imaginative play, game tables, climbing and ride toys etc.---smiling from ear to ear --and the pizza/cake portion also was very well coordinated. My daughter had so much fun. The only reason for the 3 stars is the PARENTS, not the place itself. Too many parents are not watching their kids. My daughter got slapped a few times and ended up crying. No parent to be found. It's clean, smells clean. The bathrooms are clean. There are enough toys and the big house inside is every little girls dream. ;) Again, it's the parents who really need to not only watch their kids but say no once and a while to their kids. This is quickly becoming our family's favorite local hang-out. It's a great place to pass some high-quality time with a busy youngster, especially when the weather & season limits outdoor activity. Large clean space stocked with developmentally appropriate equipment and activity centers. The owners are accessible welcoming and helpful. The generous seating arrangements throughout the space for caregivers are indispensable in retrospect yet not something I would have necessarily expected. What's one thing that could make it just a tad bit better? Some structured class offerings on the weekends & over school vacation weeks. Perhaps we'll see that in time. This is a young dynamic small business with so much growth and expansion potential. I look forward to seeing what they do next! read more

This was my daughter and I's first time here and it was nothing short of awesome!!! It's clean, organized, and fun. We were there for 3 hrs and my daughter was non stop. The radio was playing up to date music but with children singing them it was nuts!!! If your child is Hungry or thirsty they have a "nut" free area that serves a variety of drinks and snacks. You can bring your own stuff that also has to be nut free too though. It is a shoeless environment but well worth the $10 price for the whole day with numerous exits and entrances. We had our 1-year-old's party here (combined with a friend's 2-year-old's party, too). We were the first event they hosted, so there was a bit of apprehension on my part, but my wife and her friend took care of the booking and such. The people at jam Time were eager to cater to our needs, and were friendly and attentive throughout the entire booking process. When we showed up, we were greeted with a warm smile and a 'happy birthday!'. The entire event was run very smoothly - you'd never know we were the first event. One stand-out item with Jam Time is that you need to bring NOTHING - they take care of everything - snacks, drinks, goodie bags... When you have to haul around kids and jackets and strollers and such, it's nice to just go to a place, have the event, and not clean up! I'd definitely go back again for an event, or even get my kids a play pass and let them burn off some energy. My only complaint was that the back room for the party area was a bit chilly - easily fixable. read more

Jam Time, thank you for being you. You have saved me and my sanity many a time on cold and blustery winter days when my 20 month old boy is climbing up the walls stuck inside at home for the umpteenth day in a row. Yes, you are often crowded and there are some days when both my son and I are overwhelmed by the sheer insanity inside, but we generally find ourselves heading in your direction anyway at least once or twice a week in the cold months. It's amazing how clean you are given the traffic in and out. There are several jungle gym apparatuses with slides, ladders, bridges, and climbing units, a nice-sized bouncy house, a train table (where you will find all of the 2-4 year old boys hording the trains), a small ball pit, a lego table, a kid life-size house with kitchen table and chairs, fridge, oven, sink, etc. There is also a small area in the back for kids under 2 with lots of engaging age appropriate toys, plenty of soft couches and chairs for the adults, and completely open so that you can still watch any older children while sitting with a younger child. There is an area for snack time and they do sell lots of healthy snack options and drink options if you forget to pack something. Bathrooms are always impeccably clean and thank goodness, because you are after all wearing socks. Oh yeah, don't forget to BRING SOCKS - NO SHOES OR BARE FEET ALLOWED in the play area, adults included. They sell socks if you need them for a few bucks a pop. We are currently enrolled in one of the explorers classes - $170 for 8 weeks and you get unlimited open gym play time all week throughout the session. We like the class enough and have enjoyed seeing the same moms and kids week to week, though sometimes I feel like my son isn't quite there developmentally wise for the structure and order that the teacher often strives to maintain in this class. Circle time always presents a problem for us as my kid is energetic, inpatient, independent and frankly expects the world to revolve around him at all times. At least the class is only 45 minutes! read more

I honestly don't know what I would do without this place. I am a stay at home dad with 2 small kids. On a rainy day they go stir crazy. Jam time is the best for getting out their energy pre nap time. It is very well run, open so never lose sight of your kids, and staff is very friendly. Remember to wear socks and no peanut foods. read more

As good as it gets. We had our daughter's birthday party here. I'll note several great attributes. 1. Large and clean playspace. Everyone was entertained, Toys were well maintained and clean. They care about their facility, clean walls, no fingerprints, etc. Many of these places I've been to are good, but this one is GREAT. Also, the variety of toys and games was great. Not just all bouncy houses, dress up, climbers, giant sized connect 4...a good time 2. Attentive staff. Our birthday was attended to by two employees. They took care of everything and insisted that they do it. Pleasant to work with, we didn't feel rushed like at some of the other places we've had events at. 3. We opted for the full service they-did-everything-for-us birthday party. From our perspective very much worth it, Decorations were great, food well laid out, Paper products were all themed, balloons, goodie bags etc. Without a doubt, we would recommend Jam Time Maynard to anyone with young children. We went here for a birthday party. We were so pleasantly pleased. There was plenty for our kids to do who range in age to 1-5. Everything was pristine, clean & age appropriate. The staff were lovely. We recently moved to MA from CA, and went to Jam Time on the advice of a friend. My 15 month-old was in HEAVEN!!!!! We started a class with Miss Mandy, who is very good at being cheerful and encouraging without being too overwhelming. The class is super fun, and there has always been more than enough materials to go around. The class offerings are great - there is stuff for babies through early elementary. I also like that Jam Time has a lot of different imaginative play areas (workbench, house, trains, barbie house) and not just bouncy houses, like the indoor play space closer to our home. I have crawled around just about every inch of that place after runaway balls, chalk and child, and I can say that it is MUCH CLEANER than my house. Even the ball pit is spotless. I especially appreciate the cafe area, where you can bring your own food or buy snacks. Most people show up with coolers and sippy cups, and it is a nice social time during snack and lunch times. Jam Time has become a mainstay of my week. I have met new friends there, and greatly enjoy the relaxed, fun atmosphere they have created. The special events are fun, too - we saw a great bubble show there not too long ago. I can't wait until my daughter gets old enough for the princess etiquette and science classes!!! read more

We just had our son's 1st birthday here and everyone loved it! First birthdays are a bit awkward because there are more adults than kids, but this worked out perfectly! Our son loved all the different play stations, there were about 7 other babies/kids and they loved playing in each area. The adults hung out in the play area and talked, or went in to the party room and mingled there. Mandy and the team at Jam Time did SUCH a good job organizing everyone, bringing in our guests, collecting the gifts, decorating, setting up the room, bringing out pizza at the right time, loading the car after.... basically everything! It really made the party enjoyable. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a young childs birthday outside of the house!!! read more

I have a very active and hard-to-entertain 10 month old so I've been to several play-spaces and I have to say this is my favorite so far. What stood out the most was how clean and well maintained the space was. I didn't feel like I had to double check or wipe down any of the toys beforehand. We spent most of our time in the infant area which was one of the better equipped ones I have seen. My little one had a great time climbing all over the foam buildings blocks, and pushing around the little shopping carts! After a little while I had an exhausted kiddo so it was nice to be able to plop them down into one of the bouncers for a little rest before they were at it again. In terms of the price, I think $10 is a lot for a baby under 1, but that's pretty much the going rate for most places I've come to realize. So if I have to shell it out for a couple hours of baby-joy, then this place would be most worth it. read more

We have been going to Jam Time since my son was 2.5 (he's just turned 4), and we love it every time. My son loves the indoor playhouse, construction tools, ride-on toys and ball pit, and I love the free wifi, couches and clean space! We had his 3rd birthday party here and it was a great time - very affordable and we were able to pick a level of party that worked for us (this is why the public play times are limited on weekends - to allow for parties). We also have done some of their classes and loved them. It's also a great place to meet friends for playdates, primarily because there is a lot for kids with opposing interests to do, and it's small enough that you can chat with a friend even if your kids go in different directions. If you live close by it's a crime if you haven't been here yet, and if you live far away it's definitely worth a drive for a day-trip! Check the schedules online because lots of times they have little special events - musical visitors or open parties, where if you come during a certain time your child might get to participate in something - (Santa, Easter Bunny, etc). read more

I have been going to Jam Time since it opened, and it has consistently been my go-to location when my little ones needed to burn some energy or just need a change or scenery. Even my now 6-year-old is happy to accompany her younger sister to outings there. I cannot believe that other reviewers have said it wasn't clean. This is, BY FAR, the cleanest play space I have ever been to. There is no dirt, dust or gross toys anywhere to be found. They take old toys out of rotation, and are always updating/repainting the space. It also is very bright and well laid out. I love that I can see my daughters from pretty much any point in the room, so that I don't have to chase them constantly. The folks who work there could not be nicer, and I love that they have healthy snacks and beverages for kids and adults and you can even bring in your own food, which is fabulous. Over the years we have done a number of classes there, all of which have been tremendous. Our favorites have been the animal adventures class, where the instructors brought in 5 animals each week, and the kids were allowed to interact and pet most of them, which was really nice, and my daughters still talk about it. We have also done the princess etiquette class, which is wonderful. It is a drop-off (you stay in the play area while the kids are in class), and they learn about good manners in a really cute and fun way. They get to dress up in wonderful costumes, do a craft and have a real tea party. They also have a terrific science class, which I have only seen through the window, that I am hoping to sign my daughter up for in the fall. My daughter also had her 3rd birthday party there this fall, and it was the best experience I have ever had with a young child's party. They did everything, including the theme, balloons, goodie bags and gorgeous home-made cupcakes. I literally just showed up with my daughter. She wants her next birthday there. So, as it clear, I love this place. I remember being super excited when it opened, and I will miss it when my kids are too old. There really is a lack of places where you can take a 12mo-5yr old to just "play". With everything from a bounce castle to monkey bars to a doll-house and legos and a play work bench and riding toys, there really is something for everyone. So, 5 stars, all the way. read more

I am all for a family owned/run business that caters to the young crowd. My family has enjoyed all the center has to offer. However, it is often too crowded with diaper bags and pocketbooks are left all over with no care for safety for little wondering hands. Of course, if parents took time away from their cell phones and group chats to actually watch, perhaps even interact with their children. it might a bit less of a free for all. People are barefoot or wearing outdoor shoes and baby strollers parked inside the play area. The children are crawling on those floors and it is not sanitary. I am sure the board of health would have some input. Snacking (kids and Moms and Dads alike) are not confined to the snack area leaving water and potential hot drinks up for grabs. The area reserved for babies and toddlers should be just that and parents of older children should respect that for the safety of this little ones. Could be a long term fan based on the concept of the play area but find it lax on rules, and concerned about the lack of staff to keep the center (parents and children) in check. read more

I have been taking my son here since he was an infant, right when Jam Time opened for the first time. We have done many classes over the last 5 years, gotten passes, and had a birthday party here. I have nothing bad to say about this space and highly recommend it to anybody with young children. There is so much for kids to do and can easily spend an entire morning there. My kids love this place. I'm particularly impressed with the science class my son takes. Who would expect that at age 4/5 he could sit for 45 minutes and be totally enthralled?! The place space is kept clean and well kept. It's popular so it can be a bit of a zoo on weekends and school vacations, but week days are fantastic. We attended a birthday party there once and it was well done. They often run specials for punch cards and you get free play any time a child is enrolled in a class so there are ways to really get your money's worth. read more

We had our son's second birthday party at Jam Time last weekend and it was wonderful- we chose the "semi private" option, which was at 10am, and our son and our guests had the best time. The staff was phenomenal- I would highly recommend their services any day. I am 8 months pregnant and the thought of planning / executing a birthday party for a crowd of toddlers seemed daunting, but Mandy and her team impressed us beyond belief and literally took care of everything beautifully. All we had to do was bring the cake, food to be served (bagels and muffins), and party favors. That's it. They set it all up, complete with adorable decorations, balloons, paper products, table cloths, you name it. They even set up the food spread & favors and organized all gifts. At the end of the party, they cleaned everything up, packaged it up neatly, and packed up our car... it was a dream. My husband and I were so impressed and grateful that we got to spend the time enjoying our son and our guests. To top it all off, Mandy and her team were incredibly friendly, professional, hardworking and radiated non stop positive energy. They were a joy to work with and we are beyond happy with our experience! read more
