Plus since they're only in first grade, it's just what we do as part of the elementary school process. My husband grew up on the in New Jersey school systems, and Miss G's 's approach reminds him very much of the discipline and curriculum he's accustomed to. Well, most days it's like pulling teeth for my kids, They get it done, and the progress has definitely shown. Both of them are pretty advanced for their math levels only several months into the school year. They are also definitely quicker than I am at adding and subtracting. Both of their teachers have also said that they'll definitely be well into multiplication before the school year is over. I definitely recommend the iPad approach personally- For our lifestyle which is constantly on the go and often on vacations. I came to the Shepherd School of Language to take the GRE and was scared out of my mind. I was…read morepicturing a testing center where victims lined up and proceeded into an auditorium like room and were watched intently by the glares of unfriendly monitors. Shepherd was nothing like that. I walked in and was greeted by a nice employee who instructed me to fill out some paperwork. I was then passed over with a metal detector and guided into a room that can probably only fit 15 people. According to posted instructions, drinks are not allowed, but the monitor let people who had water bottles take them in. Much appreciated. Only con: it was freezing in that room. I liked that Shepherd was a small and intimate testing center with a friendly monitor to boot. Take your GRE here people! Random fact: You have to sign a waiver thing in cursive! Specifically, the ham and cheese sandwiches are often served completely frozen solid in the middle. It's very difficult for students to eat a meal that is still an ice block, and it's disappointing to go through the afternoon hungry because the lunch provided wasn't ready to eat. We would really appreciate it if the staff could ensure all meals are properly thawed and prepared before they are handed out. We just want healthy, edible options so we can stay focused in class!"
