We took her to Dr. T. at the advice of our local Vet and we are so beyond thrilled with the care they provided. The staff treated us with empathy and efficiency throughout the process. Dr. T. spent a lot of time explaining the surgery and the recovery process and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Fact is my initial request for a prescription for Fluoxetine was ignored. I believed his throwing up was anxiety related and guess what I believe I was correct. He's been on melatonin and has stopped the excessive grooming and more importantly stopped throwing up. Dr Myburgh disagreed with me and insisted it was something he ingested. Keeping in mind he did not review my cats chart to see that it had been over two weeks between visits where my cat did not throw up at all and would have known he was already on a prescription diet which Dr Myburgh suggested as an option on my second visit . He said cats don't throw up when stressed..really?? I do appreciate the refund but quite frankly under the circumstances a full refund should have been given.

I have been taking my dog here for two years, and while they haven't always been the friendliest, today's experience was truly traumatic. I went in to get a prescription for heartworm medication. I was initially told by the receptionist that my dog needed a yearly exam first. When I pointed out that she had just been seen (and I have the receipt for a "Veterinary Technician Appointment" and heartworm screening from January), things took a turn. The receptionist went to the back and returned to tell me that the previous exam "wasn't good" because it was done by a technician. When I asked for clarification and requested the prescription again, she disappeared again and brought out a man who never introduced himself. He was incredibly aggressive and spoke to me in a very upset tone. He falsely accused me of being rude to his colleague--which my husband and another witness in the waiting room can confirm is untrue--and then flatly refused to give me the prescription and told us to leave. It is heartbreaking to be treated this way as a loyal customer simply for asking questions about my dog's care and valid previous appointments. I will not be returning, and I want to warn others about the lack of professionalism and the hostile environment at this office.

She began having severe diarrhea with blood in it, so we immediately brought her to our vet. After a simple test they determined that our puppy had two types of worms. Come to find out all 8 of the puppies that were cleared by the incompetent vet at South Trail Animal Hospital have the same condition and haven't been doing well. This joke of a doctor was beyond negligent and cleared all of these puppies to be sold by the breeder. Now he takes no responsibility for his negligence when he cleared them all the day they were picked up by their owners and they all had severe worms. If you care about your animal DO NOT bring it to this place! I wouldn't trust Dr. Dean Ebert with a feeder rat. Thank God, our puppy is finally doing better today after being cared for by a much more competent Veterinary office. Dr. Ebert is truly a disgrace!!!

What started…read moreas a simple wellness visit turned into one of the most uncomfortable vet experiences I've ever had. During the first visit, she came off cold but recommended a follow-up for my dog's anal glands. At that follow-up, my dog was clearly in distress during the procedure, I even offered to hold him to help, but wasn't allowed, and the assistant holding him got scratched by my screaming squealing very uncomfortable dog. Then I was hit with a surprise $28 "difficult dog" fee that was NEVER mentioned before--even though his behavior was the same at the first visit. When I later asked for help getting my dog seen sooner for a surgery she said should be done ASAP, I was met with sarcasm--she literally compared my question to asking Publix to recommend another store ... like where is the compassion?? It only got worse. When I called to cancel my dog's upcoming surgery, she responded "we figured that." When I asked what that meant, she refused. I told her she is rude and she told me "that's usually what people say can't handle the truth." I said "maam what truth couldn't I handle??" She gave no answer ‍. Final straw--when I said I'd leave a review, she made sure to mention she had photos of her employee's scratched arm, which felt more like intimidation than professionalism. Dr Dawn Spakowsi is rude, dismissive, and lacks basic care her own staff if you ask me. After 9 vet visits over 10 weeks with two other vets, he still had an ear infection. He needed further treatment but now he doesn't want to get out if the car to go into the office. In addition we discovered he has dog reactivity issues as well. The Dr. and the staff were awesome. They developed a plan to manage his anxiety. We were able to get him in the office and into a treatment room set up like a living room- couch and all. I was able to obtain the necessary treatment and work towards managing his problem behaviors in a positive way. THANK YOU Dr. Caldwell and thanks to your wonderful staff.
